My favorite punk bands are(forgive me if some of these aren't exactly punk): The Slits, X-Ray Specs, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joan Jett, The Runaways, Patti Smith, Sex Pistols, Sham 69, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Henry Rollins Band, Adverts, Crass, Ramones, the Damned, Generation X, Johnny Thunders, New York Dolls, X, Addam Ant, Jayne/Wayne County, UK Subs, The Stooges, Iggy Pop, Guitar Wolf

cough not punk cough cough... anywho... i dont listen to as much punk as i used to... the only bands i still listen to are. anti-flag,the casualties, ramones, and of course the awesome sex pistols.. i dunno if Pop-punk is counted but i have been known to pop in NoFx evry once in a while.

Pop-punk is to punk what nu-metal is to metal. A different form of music posing as the same thing, so no, it's not counted. xp

My favorite bands are Anti-Flag, My Chemical Romance, Motion City Soundtrack, Fall Out Boy, Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, The Pouges, NoFx, and much more.

The Clash own my soul. Billy Idol counts as punk, doesn't he? Other than The Clash, I don't listen to much punk. (=P Name's Edi, so you know) But I can't get over how much of The Clash's music is still relevant today. ESPECIALLY Rock The Casbah, in light of more recent events.
