palejewel84 As for why girls find him physically attractive that's hard to answer. Everyone likes different features in people. I happen to find deep cheekbones like those of James Marsters a turn on. Every person has the right to find whomever they please attractive. Why do people enjoy Spike's personality? For a start he has some of the best lines on the show. His wit is biting and intelligent. On a less substanstial note, girls also love bad boys and Spike is undenably that. To me, it's Spike's capacity to love despite the fact that he's souless that attracts me. Many people will argue this but I believe that his love for Dru and Buffy was true. He may not have expressed his love in healthy or normal ways but he loved nonetheless. What turns me off from Angel is that I find him a very one demensional character, opposed to Spike who is very layered. Angel spends all his time repenting for his past sins and not living his life now. Spike appreciates life (or unlife) to it's fullest. speaking of dru..., damn, she's my obsession, i wnat ther the way the rest of u gilrs want spike, she's a hot insane vamp with a great accent, change that to a guy and i think u got spike, so i can totally see why girls love him so much

Angel spends all his time repenting for his past sins and not living his life now. Spike appreciates life (or unlife) to it's fullest. The way you word that has them both one-dimensional, it's just you like Spike's dimension better. Angel isn't one-dimensional. If you'll remember, his show survived four seasons without Spike. He does spend time repenting for his past sins, because he's-gasp-a good guy. He wants to make up for what he did, even though he knows he never can. He does have a sense of humor, even if it's not showed often. We all know he's broody, everyone knows he's broody, HE knows he's broody, but that's how he is. He'd risk his life to save anyone, not just those he cares about. Spike would risk his life to save someone if it meant Buffy would sleep with him. It's not that Angel's one-dimensional. He's just a good guy, so he's not as loved. He doesn't have the bad boy in him, or the accent, so he goes unnoticed. People instead chase after Angelus, who in reality would kill them in the most horrible way if given the chance. *deep breath* Wow, this guild is making me turn against Spike @_@ Not James Marsters, of course, but Spike. And I'm not really caring...How...odd... *used to be a die-hard Spike fan* I don't deny that Angel is a good person, it's just that I don't find him interesting. He may be a good person but he's not entertaining for me to watch. Buffy is a show meant to entertain. It's not only the accent and bad boy thing that attract people to Spike. It's that Spike goes against what he is (a vampire) and tries to be something better BEFORE he has a soul. I know this point is very debatable, but that's just my opinion. He does good things, not just so Buffy can sleep with him, but so that he'll be the kind of man that Buffy can love. I find some of Spike's actions despicable, as anyone would. But at the same time I find many of his actions honorable. The main point is that this is a TV show. It attracts many different types of people. Therefore people like different characters and disagree on what makes a character likeable. That's the fun of it. Some people love Tara, some people hate her. Some people love Riley, some people hate him. Some people love Spike, some people love Angel some people love both. That's ok. Neither side is wrong.

Gah, this girl that used to be in my class stare I haven't really kept in touch with many people from that class, but unfortunately, she keeps in touch with me. Mainly to insult me. She seems to think that my being bisexual is impossible, not to mention a personal insult to anyone I date. She even tried to get my boyfriend to break up with me on the grounds that I'm bi. Also, when I told her what Wicca is, she said, and I quote: "Yeah, except, Harry Potter doesn't exist, hun." Oooh, I wanted to strangle her... Of course, it IS fun arguing with her. I can argue my point, and she freaks out when she realizes I have valid reasons, instead of the idiotic hand-me-down reasons she passes out xd

paradoxical Personally I think this is being taken way too seriously.. Either you like Spike, or you don't, it's as simple as that. Fangirls have their reasons for liking them just as people like Dr. Yuya have their reasons for not. It's all, just like most things, a matter of opinion. People who don't find him the greatest character don't need to be bashing the girls that do (whatever their reasoning may be for liking him..) and vice versa. Just about every guy (or any character on Buffy for that matter) has their faults, why we're taking so much time picking apart one of them doesn't seem too logical to me.. Yeah, I don't really care much anymore. There seem to be a few fangirls here, not not as many or as die-hard as the typical fan-girl who makes me feel like vomiting every time they mention how great Spike is. That's what turned me off in the first place anyway. I mean, if everyone loved Dawn because they thought she was mature and stable, wouldn't it just make you kind of wonder why? Same with Spike. People seem to love him for all the wrong reasons, and no matter what happens, his fan-girls make him the hero in the end.

I Love Spike because he didn't need a soul to love Buffy. I mean he had a chip but it's not the same he still was "evil". Angel only loved Buffy when he had his soul.
Anywho, I LOVE them both, I like buffy with both them. Hell if they could be a Triumverate of power together I would be happy as a clam heart

She pissed me off so many times in season 6 stressed And Will and Tara...I'm sorry to say (because I know I'm gonna get flamed) I hated that couple more than any of the others. whee Not cause they were lesbians I just hated them together. Tara I didn't think she added anything to the show *acting wise* *hides under the couch* eek
