The Madness bit in the first series is brilliant, and Motorhead are excellent too. As for the last episode of the second series, I believe it did actually have a band, but due to copyright reasons it had to be cut out of repeats and DVD releases, so it only got seen on the original broadcast. Which sucks, but never mind.
