Im still ahving trouble making the crappy lil rope thing that them sound nin ahve >.< its all liek quilt-inners goign to be wrapped in purple fabric and then entwined with dental floss to give it a dumb kinda rope effect XP i just dont want it to be ovelry massive or really puny and whimpy lookin

I'm gonna be Kimimaro, after searching a bunch of sites most cosplayers made a rope by either painting a real one, or getting purple fabric and stuff it down with a tube of Basting (for quilts) and then wrap it with wire to make it stick up, starching it up and junk
I tried doing it myself but since I made my mom mad at all the times I am going to the store and the money being spent on it she isnt taking me anymore, so I cant buy any wire.....but what I have thought of was some fishing wire from my dad's old fishing stuff he never uses and then to make it stick up, put safty pins from the inside out so the pin doesnt show....and out alot so that it doesnt look like its pulling my shirt...this it just a thought...aaahhh for the fabric length no one posted how much they used, so basically I made an estimate, the length in waist, using the measuring tape and then I measured how big I needed the loop times it by 2 for the other side and do the same for the ends of the rope......I also measured by the huge snake I have in my closet (toy) and wrapped it around me....it came around 6 yards, and it came out as a decent size, so its good....also the basting I used was ok, it wasnt like too tight and not too lose when I tie it around me so yeah, I think its ok....it make the thickness of the rope (by the by the 6 yards have alot left over since I didnt want it too buldgy it took about half of the hard going long ways, enough to make 3 rope obis if you cut it in a certain way)
The scroll, I read from another site which really intresting me and I think its a REALLY good idea....
you need about 4 yards of wire that bends (of course) and about 4 yards of foam and fabric to cover that....to if you want to be creative and open the scroll, you sew a white fabric like a pillow and insert the foam and wire and then like roll it up......I cant really explain, but if you dont get it I can show you by drawing it, lol
I dont know where you live, but there is a place here where I live called ACE which is a educational store (teachers go there to buy thier junk) and where the arts and crafts are they sell heads for mask making you can easily color it either peach or red if you want the cursed seal form and like attach it either to your costume or make a ruberband on the edge and put it around your head so it can stay attached to you...and all you need is to add the wig or horn to it...or you can do another way which is how I made my sister's Anbu mask....you put plastic wrap on your face and let someone lay plaster on it (note you must lay down on something flat) first vertically and then horizontally going over eyes and nose and mouth but not covering underneath your nose so that you are able to breath then afterwards the person lifts from the plastic wrap and the plastered face should come off (plaster must be applied with water and the plaster I am talking about are in strips) after wards you add the bottom of the nose piece to it before setting it off to dry after a day (which is how long it takes to dry) the next day put like a small inflated ball to the inside of the mask and wrap more plaster around it so as to give the mask a full head (the ball is so that the head will stay in place even if its been hit by a door or something) and then set it off to dry after that you can gor over the whole head with more plaster to give strength to it (esp. the nose, that is like the most delicate part I figured out) after it dried again, you are then able to paint dun dun duuuunnn O.o
I know it seems much but if you do it, its actually more faster than it seems, to get my sister's Anbu mask (she is going to cosplay as Anbu Kabuto) it took around like 15 minutes but maybe around 30 for an inexperinced person....the holes for eyes and junk can be added by carving holes as soon as its done drying (but if you are going to do that ball inside mask thing, you should do it before, lol)
Well that's pretty much it...overall you can find these materials at cheap and almost in arts and crafts stores (except the foam, paint you might need, and basting can be a little expensive around $14.00....well to me its expensive, I'm poor sweatdrop well...yeah, if you have any questions how its supposed to look like or if you need a visual pm me and I think I could draw it out for you)
