I wonder... did everyone get their PM's yet? Between 5 and 2 ratings per colorist is pretty sad for there being 20 colorists @_@

Maybe they're scared of hurting someone's feelings or something... Even though it's totally anonymous O_o Eh. I'll PM the other 10 people now.

I think people probably don't rate because it would take so very long to do. Research all the art, decide on a rating, write out the critique, etc, etc. There's a lot of us, and it took me the better part of an hour to get mine written out (Yeah I'm silly and plan ahead. I did it as soon as the thread went up.) and I write 120 wpm!

Just a suggestion- could the next few people who do this start at the *bottom* and work up? The people at the bottom (including me, yes), are getting sadly neglected.

What I find amusing is that everybody tends to cluster their ratings together... like if the first person to rate someone gives them a 4 (for example), everyone else will give them a 4, or something close like a 3 or a 5. blaugh I dunno if everyone just thinks similarly, or are being sheep...

Weeell I don't think that's fair, because if people WERE just being sheep it'd follow that EVERY person's ratings would all be roughly the same, while there are a few people where no one can seem to agree. I think it's more likely that everyone has similar standards. We're all gaia artists, are mostly familiar with the art arena system, we know what OUR art is like, we've seen other peoples'... basically, the fact that the ratings are similar tells ME that we all know what we're doing, rather than the opposite. But perhaps that's an optimistic interpretation of the situation... ^_^

in my defense, for the person who posted about the highlighted fur...I think you're talking about the cats. I may be wrong. Anyway, they were pre shaded and prehighlighted...I couldn't change the lineart, period. xp So that would be why it looks strange. sweatdrop
