*nods* I think most of the way through the timeline, he would've picked Kakarrot, but then later in the Buu saga, he went through another of those major changes. :3 You know that by the end (especially because of the "#1" thing), he would've definitely picked Goku. * heart s the thumbs-up scene* whee
When do you think he would (obviously, following the same "given the choice" thing) have started to think about preferring Goku? Any certain point, or was it something gradual?

I think it happened gradually; but if I had to pick a certain point I'd probably chose some spot after Veggie comes back to fight Buu.

I wonder how the fusion affected their minds/points of view? *writes down for possible future use in writing* That might've had some effect on him, too, ne?
(I just love how the two of them work together from the point he returns, and on. whee I think maybe that's the point where they're starting to truly understand and accept each other, and that's why they work together so well. X3)

X3) Yeah, like the cheek-to-cheek ki blast, and how they worked together to escape Buu, and then the entire battle against Kid Buu 'n Goku refusing to throw the Genki-Dama cuz the Veggie was down there. whee

After all, that would also take a way some of the edge he has over Goku, if that makes any sense. (Assuming Kakarrot would be less naive, more aware of his instincts, etc.) Goku's more powerful than Vegeta, but that's balanced out by Vegeta's mental strength.
