Kasumi pulled the glass out without asking if he was ready, she grinned and held it up to him, "No hard feelings, couldn't have you chicken out on me now," She then went about tearing some of his sleeve off for a bandage, "Unfortunately, I'm not a healer."

Logan was near the school when it had blown up, luckily he was able to cast a protection spell around himself and few other students nearby and was unharmed by the assault.

He sighed he had been running around since the incident healing those who needed help, it was hard be one of the few White mages on campus and exhausting but he kept a smile on his face as he cast cure on the wounded. He aproched the black mage and companions "I see your wounded give me and instant ill heal you both!" he said grasping his rod (Staff rod you pervs) tightly.

Rayne runs up to the recently bombed part of the school, only pausing to shy away as a window blows out, followed by a plume of fire, then runs towards the nearest door. Her father would be in his office at this time of day. Feeling no extreme heat, Rayne yanks the door open, then runs inside. Smoke pours out of the open door, as well as one of two students, but Rayne ignores both, running up the only half intact staircase. Debris falls around her, a chunk of rock almost striking a shoulder, but Rayne dodges it then continues onward. "DAD!" She shouts, coming out onto the main second floor hallway. Depris was scattered about, and several beams overhead were on fire. One was already broken in half though and splayed across the hallway. Under the beam was her father, his face ashen. Only his upper body could be seen. "Dad!" Rayne runs forward and drops to her knees, grabbing his hand.
"Rayne? Is that you?" He asks, turning his head to look at her. Rayne nods, biting a lip as she feels tears p***k at the corners of her eyes.
"Yea, I'm here."
"The war.... came to us.... didn't it?" He asks, stopping every once in a while to wince in pain or cough up blood.
Rayne nods. He'd want the truth. "Yea."
"Ok... then, fight. Protect your mother and sisters. Even as... a spy... you can still do that.... for me."
Rayne nods, waiting for him to speak again... but after a few moments, there was nothing. Rayne glances at his face and sees that his eyes had gone lifeless. His hand slumps. Rayne blinks, then shakes his shoulder. "No, come on dad! Wake up!" Nothing... he was dead. Rayne blinks, then standing up stumbles back and pushes away from him. This couldn't be happening. Rayne turns and flees down the hallway. As she reaches the stairs, more debris starts falling. Rayne ignores it and rushes down the stairs. As she reaches the foot of the stairs, a rock from the roof above her breaks off and falling strikes her shoulder. Rayne hears a crunch, feeling a bolt of pain and blacks out, dropping forward.
((And now I'll be leaving for two weeks to go to my cousin's wedding and family reunion. Ah... just have my character dragged outside or whatever, and I'll have her get healed and wake up when I'm back, then I'll see how I can catch up. Bye everybody!))

Vagrant was lying in the medical wing when the bomb hit. He was lying down half-asleep when suddenly he rolled off the bed and dragged his mattress on top of him just as the wall disappeared in the explosion. The roof caved in as well, a large chunk of stone slamming in to his bed, smashing it. More stone dropped on to the mattress he was hiding under. He threw the mattress aside and ran to a locker. Opening it he pulled out his weapons and strapped them on, then turned and examined the room. An orderly was lying on the floor, blood pooling around his head, spurting from a large gash running from ear to ear round the back of his head. Blue heard screams. His head whipped around and he saw a man with no legs burning in his bed. Vagrant rushed over to him, grabbed a vase, threw out the flowers and chucked the water inside it on the man while he looked around for some more. He took one step and the wall behind him crumbled away, as did the floor beneath him and the burning man. They fell in to darkness and, with a squelching noise, the burning man was crushed by a part of the floor. Vagrant hit the ground and rolled, he tried to get away from the falling masonry only to be forced towards the crumbling wall. That wall and the floor both gave way as well and Vagrant plummeted again, only this time he fell through the wall and burst out in to the rain a couple of floors up. He fell and scrambled against the wall, trying to gain a foothold. Eventually he was able to latch on to something and hung there by one hand. It was a windowsill. Vagrant heaved himself inside and away from the outer wall as that finally crumbled as well. Vagrant watched as the last of the building crumbled. When everything settled he walked up to the edge of the remaining floor and looked out over the rain-soaked rubble.

"Bastards."

Vagrant looked around, he had to find a way down. The door was blocked by rubble, it looked like climbing down was the order of the day.

Hiren snarled at the swordsman before clutching at his arm.

Then the white mage approached, "I don't know if you can heal me anyway," Hiren admitted, "We're contrary types." He refered to the Black Mage versus white healing thing.

"I'll be okay, we have to look for others,"

(I've never had problems casting cure on a blackmage before o.o;;; But your da boss!)

Logan nodded "Alright if you think you'll be alright that is..." he held his staff at the ready, "Lets get moving theres no time to waste around here, besides if we all dont get moving soon we're sitting ducks for a 2nd attack... Stay close to me ill keep a protection spell at the ready just in case... lets get picking up more survivors and get out of here! At least thats my vote... Until we can gather our thoughts and do something about this." Logan sighed it was a horrible hapenstance but aleast he had people to talk to for a change.

Vagrant was about to climb down when he caught a glimpse of something white in the rain. He peered closer and saw what appeared to be a white mage. He took in a deep breath and shouted.

"HEY! COULD I GET A FLOAT SPELL UP HERE?"

Logan looked up and spotted the man in the window hearing his cry for help "No problem!" he pulled out his spell book and read the Float incantation aloud casting it on stranded stranger.

((ooc: Me neither wink . And it isn't true but Hiren doesn't know that due to the rarity of Black mages wink ))

Hiren looked up towards the shouter, watching as the spell was cast; at least they'd found someone else alive.

((Modified my character slightly, just cosmetics and fringe stuff. All changes made to the profile on the first page.))

Vagrant was about to start climbing down when the floor beneath him crumbled too and he floated down gently, disappearing from view. He looked around and saw a girl dressed as a spy lying on the floor. Vagrant saw she was still breathing so he picked her up and made his way over to the window. He raised his foot and tried to break the window by kicking it. Instead he kicked the entire window frame out of the wall. He climbed out and floated to the ground gently, where he promptly dropped the girl with barely a glance, dusted himself off and began to leave. He stopped and half-turned back to look at the healing mage.

"I suppose I should thank you. What's your name mage?"

Players Name: Kyou
Character Name: Lyall Darwin
Age: 23
Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius
Blood type: O+
Class: Ranger
Hair colour and style: Blonde, long, his bangs extend past his nose. Not spiked.
Eye colour: Brown
Scars: Many scars on his back, most likely from whippings. A few nicks on his arms, hands, and chest from sword fighting.
Height: 6'
Handedness: Left
Personality: A fairly outgoing and happy individual. In the war he's seen some horrible things, and lost quite a few friends but he's managed to stay upbeat. He's genuinely friendly, and extremely loyal, but if you say something stupid he'll call you on it. Sometimes he has a short temper for ignorant people.
History: Lyall is an heir to a family that apparently is distantly related to royalty. Whether the actual royal family is still in power he has no clue, he never took much interest in it.
For the most part, he doesnt give his high pedegree away, though there are a few signs of it. He wears his family ring for example, and he carries his family rapier.
He was offered a position to lead his unit, but he declined. However, he still managed to gain his unit's trust and soon became a vice captain figure.
His unit was recently attacked and desimated. He barely escaped, and has slowly made his way across the countryside, until at last he found the academy.
Psychic ability: Telepath. His ability is minor. Rarely does it ever kick in, and usually its just random useless information, like a person's name or favorite color. But on a rare occasion on the battle field he's able to read a few minds. However, he has no control over it what-so-ever.

Name of Horse: Sleipnir
Colour: Grey
Type: Pony, looking something like a Fell Pony.
Treat: Onions...

Logan smirked and cast cure on the girl though she remaind unconcious, she would live "My name is Logan, now enough of this standing around we better get moving." he noticed most of the other students had already evacuated and only the dead remained.

Lyall wiped the grime and rain from his brow, squinting over the horizon to try and spot the academy. I seem to remember it being here. He thought, dismounting Sleipnir and throwing off his cape and leather tunic. Well, no one's here to see me. I doubt I'll get scolded for not wearing my full uniform. Its their fault for giving us so many damn clothes to wear.

The man tucked his spare clothes into a bag on Sleipnir's side, sure to remove his hidden pistol. He often times placed the second firearm inside his tunic. I hope the gunpowder doesnt get wet... He thought to himself as he wiped away some more rain water.

Sleipnir, in the meantime was looking rather sullen, his coat completely drenched. Perhaps Lyall should have taken the time to shave the tufts of hair at his hooves, and trimmed his mane and tail. Afterall, the tail alone trailed behind the pony as it walked. But he couldn't help liking the look, it was rugged, and besides, he'd be a hypocrit. He'd let his hair grow out after all, far too long for anyone wielding a firearm.

Sleipnir nudged him from behind with his gigantic head, almost toppling Lyall over. "Ok, ok." He murmured, pulling out a large red onion from his left pocket. He absent mindedly threw the vegetable behind him, and the treat went rolling down the hillside.

Sleipnir watched the onion roll down, and then set his lazy gaze on his master. As if to say 'Do you honestly expect me to go after that?'

"Oh, it'll be good exercise for you!" Lyall cried, waving his right hand about as he tried to read a map before it too got drenched. Sleipnir snorted in response, a 'You've got to be kidding me.' And then turned to chase down his prize.

"Thats strange," He said to himself. "It should be just over this hill-" Then the night was lit up by fire, and the sound reached his ears. "Sleipnir!" He cried, already running towards the explosion.

His horse ran along side him, and he quickly slung himself onto his steed's back, riding for the academy. When he got there, he immediatly picked out the black mage. "Status Report!" He cried, dismounting. "Who's in charge here?"
