Getting up from a bench, the crunching of snow as she walked toward him. A smile blossoming on her features. "Hi Ed." said the female her voice filled with joy. She could see something was bothing him, Smile disappeating, "Is something wrong??"

He shook his head. "No," he replied, "it's nothing." Blinking up at her, he asked, "What've you been doing since Dublith? I haven't seen you for a while." He'd try to be cheerful. He'd try. As long as nothing went wrong, that was, and he was sent careening into another cat episode.

"What have I been doing??" she repeated, eyes sadening but a smile remain, to faint sadness could be seen. "I've been traveling for five years, Aeistar was attacked by the military, and my sister and mother passed away...." she felt she couldn't lie to her friend so she told him the truth though it was a painful truth.

He sighed. "I'm sorry..." he replied, looking down. That had put a damper on his already-down mood. "I'm really sorry, Mina." Had he not been cursed, he would have given her a hug then, but as it was, all he could do is sit there and feel awkward. But, he argued, couldn't he make an exception for his friend? No, he realized, he couldn't, because of the fact that there was another person in the vicinity, and he couldn't give his secret away to two people, let alone one.
((And now I realize... Al when he was little was WAY cuter than Ed. >w< Even though I never found Ed that cute..))

A heavy sigh escaped her lips, "Ed its not your fault this happen you have no reason to be sorry." she explained smjileing more strongly. "Maybe I shouldn't have said anything."
"So how have you been Edward??" she asked, keeping herself as cheerful as posible.

"Alright," he replied, keeping his eyes downcast. "I've been fine.." She couldn't know. She had to know. No. Yes. He sighed. This was going to be hard to explain if he decided to tell her. Which he wasn't about to, because of the fact that the street wasn't as quiet as he thought it was. This sucked. Now what was he supposed to do? He wanted to say something, it wasn't very good of him to keep secrets from his friend, but.. What if she called the police or something? His eyes betrayed his thoughts as he sat there, trying amidst it all to find something else to say.

His actions caused her to worry, "Ed... Please tell me if something is bothing you." Said the female concern filling her voice though she tried to hide it. Cerulean hues focusing on the blinding white beneath her.

"....I can't." This, he knew, would be like a bullet to her. But.... how could he tell anyone? They'd truck him off to a lab or something, and that would be that. "I... wish I could. But I can't." He sighed. He knew she'd be hurt, or pissed off, or something. He wanted to say something, he really did. But under the circumstances, he knew that if he told, the word would get out. The streets did have ears..

Again she heaved a sigh, "I understand.. Its something you don't want others to know right??" Her voice sounded sad though she kept a asureing smile on her face. If he had something he didn't want anyone to know it was no surprise he wouldn't tell her. She tried to tell herself she didn't care much though she wanted to be trusted enough to help her friend with what ever was bothing him.

He blinked. Did she know what had happened to him? He nodded. "Yeah... I suppose you could say that.." He frowned. "Sorry, I would tell you.. but we're kind of in a place where anyone could hear what we were saying. Besides, she's a general," he said, pointing to Kenara, "she could relay the information. If she doesn't know already."

Bringing her head up then down in a nod she smile, "No need to explain I understand, somethings are better kept secret." Her voice was cheerful again, though she still held her concern toward her friend. She was happy by the fact her said he would tell her if they hadn't been in this area. she didn't mind if her didn't tell her either way she was fine with his choice, She'd still worry about him either way though.
