A personal favorite of mine is "Season of Faith's Perfection" by Stratovarius. It's just a nice slow song, and the lyrics just make you think. I listen to Elements, Pt.2 when I take my walks, and listening to that song while taking a walk under the stars gives me the most serene feeling i've ever felt before. It's certainly made of win 3nodding

There's millions of great ones.

Nightwish's 'Swanheart' is quite nice.

The Fallen One by Hammerfall is a great ballad, i have to put Blind Guardian right up there with The Bard's Song

The Sophie of Yesteryears
Hammerfall - Always Will Be

In itself it isn't very power metal but it's by Hammerfall so it's still gotta be cool biggrin

Great song. One of by favorite ballads.

You know, this might not be Power Metal, but 'A while in Dreamland' by Gamma Ray is as good as 'In quest for' by Avantasia in my hawt-o-meter. heart

Everything by Dragonland. Especially Forever Walking Alone, that makes me cry, seriously.

I'd either have to say Sonata Arctica - Draw Me, or Neverending Rest by Labyrinth. Those are my choices.

Sorry but I can´t say just a song or two! stressed

Angra: Deep Blue, No Pain for the Dead.

Blind Guardian: The Bard´s Song, The Eldar.

Demons & Wizards: Fiddler on the Green.

Desdemona: Othello´s Crying.

Iced Earth: Melancholy, Watching Over Me.

Kamelot: Don´t You Cry, Abandoned.

Nightwish: Dead Boy´s Poem.

Symphony X: Candelight Fantasia.

Ps: I know that some of the band here aren´t Power Metal but I still like to put them. xp

The NON 2005 edition of Sleeping Sun by Nightwish.

They just runined Sleeping Sun by making a remake of it.

"Trail of Broken Hearts" by DragonForce.

Probably the best solo on that entire album. (I know: eek )
I say that because it is everything a solo should be, it is very expressive, and very melodic, and really goes with the song. The guitars are just so melodic and expressive. I really like that song.

The best would have to be "A tale that wasn't right"

"Fade to Black", Metallica.

Today, I thought that if I were to ever hear that song live, I'd probably cry. It's just so emotional.

"Life it seems will fade away, drifting farther everyday, getting lost within myself, nothing matters no one else. I have lost the will to live, simply lost the will to live. There is nothing more for me, need the end to set me free."

Amazing song. crying

Not power, but still amazing.
