Name: Bah, not telling.

BUT YOUR NAME IS THE MOST BADASS ********' NAME EVER.

Sounds all Imperialistic and awesome.

Junior year, first day of my English 3 class, teacher is calling roll. He's the kind of teacher who makes fun of the students (and one of the if not the best I had in high school), says my name, pauses, and goes "I feel like I should bow. Is it the Third? Because it would be great if it were the Third."

I share his sentiments. If you had III at the end of your name it would be awesome!

I somewhat have a II slapped to my last name, but it's not a regal enough sounding name.

Name: Mark.

Age: old enough to not be taught computers at school, because they were new. Old enough to see education, which I feel should have remained free, to be allocated a fiscal cost. ******** Bullshit. If it means people only enrol in subjects that only benefit their career, we all lose.

Place of Origin: Australia, right down the bottom rh corner, no not Tasmania. Look up, I am waving.

Political affiliation: definitely Left. How far? Not sure. Depends how far the right assert their ideals over mine. But understand everyone has a price.

Religious affiliation: None I think that involves God. Dogma based or not. But I am not sure I am approaching it from an existance p.o.v or whether it is the comedic way God was recorded by Men. Read it how it is written (bible) and see what a nasty God he is.
But I put much of science in the same boat, so where does it leave me.
All I can say is my actions are not dictated by being rewarded in a paradise conjured by Men in what they think is most appealling.
Happy to talk about it.
Proof or lack thereof is not factored into what I believe, or not. ******** confusing.

Though, I do find it interesting that those around me could be concerned about me being Athiest.

I do like to have a chat, possibly inhaling and having a chat. I should never read my posts then next day, or accept the criticism thrown at me. Though I believe that in all that s**t, I do possibly have a point worth considering. I work, to a work/life balance. It meant re-evaluating what I feel important. Refer to Athieism (if this is it, I must validate whats important, this is it, there is no heaven). I have run businesses, employed people, sacked people, been sacked. Worked for the man. Still do. Suits me. I won't deny others with what may consider higher aspirations (though I don't know how high you want me to get), though explore ideals through my own belief system. Maybe I will learn something.

I like Art. Any. Approaching all art through my 'pop-art' glasses. Like the new art from Chinese artists. Bringing a new spin to it. Exciting.
Same with music. Anything goes. Like to see influences and work my way through back catalogues. Is the new s**t better than the old? Mostly yes. You can tell the ones cashing in on Nostalgia. Love the Japanese influence on so much Western s**t. Love the spin, and that there is something else going on.

I like film. All film. Although after seeing Watchmen, feel it going to be a hard slog for any traditional one in the genre. Lars and the Real Girl was great. Made me think. Any suggestions? Some of the obscure s**t will be difficult to obtain, but other than that, yay.

I like books. And someof the s**t I see you guys reading overwhelming. And I feel I am cheating if one jst goes to wiki for a readers digest version. Authors that put a spin on current or future events interest me. I will plough through biography, but I really need the motivation.

I read LOTR, and I didn't like it. But happy others did and created s**t I do like from it. I don't think I missed the point, jut thought it was s**t.

Are you bored and annoying other posters? Yes.
What should be doing instead? Ein deutscher Aufsatz and an essay on Hmong refugees of the Cold War.
Do you talk to yourself? Yes, I picked up the habit from my parents. It drives me nuts.

I've had someone recommend "The Orphanage" to me. I have not had time to check it out, but one of the guys who produced it, Guillermo del Toro, was the guy who did "Pan's Labyrinth". It should be good then ...

*cough* *cough* Search "Watch", "Movies", "Links", "The Orphanage"
