Text talk makes me twitch, and it makes my eyes burn. When I see a post with it, I don't even try to read it anymore. And sorry to say this to all you people who enjoy using that language, but you remind me of my four year old brother poking random keys on the keyboard.

yes. I agree really nice metaphore. Is that how you spell it. If people learn to be litarate it would be a better world. Oh and I am new here. I don't expect to have to report someone again. I got someone reported. The pesron only has only one warning left. She harrased me.

Aari-chan *bows and worships Rebel* I love you. Thank you! If there's anything that gets me pissed off more than anything it's the annoying, frustrating, hair-pulling, maddening and murdersome text talk. I HATE it. With a passion that surprises most of my friends. Those that have the knowledge should use it.
And LeighMae, you are even more amazing then all of us that have a problem with grammar mistakes because you're desperately striving to bring yourself to the level in which your grammar doesn't annoy the irritable ones like us. Bravo! I virtually hug you. xp
Rebel and LeighMae, I applaud you both, and anyone else that gets annoyed at the desecration shown in "txt tlk" (Gah, I need to scrub my hands for typing that... eww) You're all my heroes! Thank you! My sister is ruining my brain with that...stuff.... and won't bother trying to type normally, yet she's in the spelling bee? I've been in it every possible year and am wonderful with grammar. Thank you LeighMae, for setting that wonderful example that even people with learning problems like this can do wonderfully! (No offense, she has slight dyslexia, and so does Orlando Bloom for heaven's sake ^^)

And finally, when it applies to this guild in particular, we are discussing a series of BOOKS. Do you honestly think that literacy isn't important? Wouldn't you be skeptical if a BOOK was written in text talk? Then why shouldn't the discussions be as adept in their literacy?
sweatdrop Believe it or not, I found a book written and published entirely in "chatroom" form. It was awful too.
Yes, if we are discussing wonderful well-known books such as this one, we should be able to discuss it the right way...with actual words.

I admit that I used to chat to friends and such in leet speak, and whenever I'd have to write anything important, I'd have difficulty typing properly. It's good to get in the habit of typing properly even among friends.
