Shemue rocks
I beat Shenmue then i start a new game right after i beat it
They still say if u ever want to play a game that simulates real life
Shenmue is as close as it gets.
Its the greatest and itll remain the greatest in my eyes

I don't think it was bad persay that i don't think many people knew about it or cared much for it execpt dreamcast people and x-box people. hence why it didn't do so good here in america

Also, his name is Ryu, not Ryo. xd Actually, it IS Ryo. Ryo Hazuki. xp Anyway, I'm a big Shenmue fan. I even got my game signed by Yu Suzuki when it came out! And I got the European Shenmue 2 for the DC also. Anyway, I can understand why some people might hate it...I think it's one of those games you're really just gonna have to either hate, or love. The game is pretty slow paced, since you do a lot of detective work in the first game. But I don't think it's anywhere near "worst game"... that's just silly. The second game is more linear though, and you get into action much quicker, so I actually like the second game more. The second game allowed to save anywhere too, which is cooler. wink But yeah, the voice acting was pretty poor, and they made Ryo's personality kinda bland. He just about never laughs, which I guess is OK. But he hardly even smiles, which is just silly if he's petting a cat, buying toys, and stuff. Always looking at these hobbies like...life/death situations, lol. But otherwise, Ryo's one of my most favorite video game characters... he fights bad a**! Hopefully they improve a whole lot for Shenmue 3...if they ever start making it. sad

Not only is Shenmue my favorite DC game and my favorite SEGA game, it's one of my favorite games, period.
The G4TechTV n00bs just can't appreciate good games. mrgreen

Even though you live in a world with talking animals......and it's all cartoony.....you get a house debt, and you decorate it, and you go to the bank, and change clothes. 3nodding

Shipp I was watching an episode of Filter on G4 Tech TV today, and Shenmue placed 2nd as one of the worst games of all time! I repeat. SHENMUE PLACED 2ND AS ONE OF THE WORST GAMES OF ALL TIME! How could this happen?! Shenmue just happens to be one of my favorite games on the Dreamcast console! But I did think 2 for X Box sucked. But they were talking about number 1. Your thoughts? filter and g4 tv suck a**. there has never been a more biased channel in the history of television. notice all of their ads are ea. and how high crappy ea games rank on their countdown. i mean lord of the rings the third age who are they kidding. any who pay no mind to those morons shenmue was a great game. and stop watching g4 i know xplay is good and all but g4 sucks and should be boycotted by all true gamers.
