Some things I have learned are that if you go on a diet it is better to lose the weight slowly instead of trying to do it all at once. Experts say that if you lose 2-5 pounds a month that you are the most likely to keep it off the rest of your life, and you shouldn't lose more than 2 pounds a week. Under no circumstances, should you stop eating all together. This puts your body in starvation mode and it will grab any food it can and turn it into fat making you gain weight. You should also never skip breakfast because of this factor. If you skip breakfast you are also 35% more likely to snack when non intended.
Here is a little history lesson. To find out the reason why so many people are overweight today you have to look back to when humans were hunter gatherers. We have our two hunter gatherers Bob and Fred. Bob and Fred go out and kill themselves a nice Buffalo. Bob and Fred have to split the buffalo, so Bob chooses his portion first. Bob likes fat so he takes it off the buffalo. Fred likes muscle, and the rest so he takes that. Fat has 9 calories per gram, and protein and carbs have 4. Winter comes around, and there is no food. Bob doesn't have to worry because he got his moneys worth off the buffalo, but Fred on the other hand starts to wear a bit thin. Next winter starts to come around, so Bob and Fred kill themselves another buffalo. Fred is smart this time and they split the buffalo 50/50, but wait Fred has a fast motabulism where as Bob's is slow. Fred ends up starving to death while Bob is as happy as a clam.
This is the only point in time where humans have had food open to them when ever you want. You don't eat because you are hungry you eat because you are bored. How many times have you gotten up while watching T.V. to go to the fridge, and just open and close it? This is also why we love fat such as donuts, cake, and desserts. Disclaimer: We are not trying to insult any ones view of religion. This is just what we have read in different books.

I personally just play DDR loads... It's like crack to me (addicting as hell, and no I do not do drugs), so I can do it a lot... As for eating, I don't really have much of an apetite, so I don't worry too much about it. I lost 20 pounds (well, 17) one summer with no diet at all just playing DDR a lot... And I got a dance pad for my birthday (that should be in my room by Saturday), so that should be alright... I definitely reccomend that you try it.
For information on it (some people don't know what DDR is): http://www.ddrfreak.com
(Long-hand it is called Dance Dance Revolution) 3nodding heart

I usually do about 50 kagels, (they also tighten my tummy when I do them, I do them because I had a kid not because I'm a slut lol.) after I do kagels I do 50-60 sits ups on my bed, because its harder to sit up on cause its squishier. Every now and then I'd ride my bicyle for a couple hours.(actual bicyle and yes hours around town but slow I'm not in a rush) I'm lactos intolerant >.< but I love cheese and milk. So I try to have at least 3 servings of dairy in one day. (commersials) lol I hate meat so I try to avoid it, but I still eat what I need. Like chicken, fish, beef and some porks. Also, there's certain types of veggies that can be eatin to supplement proteins in meat. HA! lol. But I'm not a fan o those veggies, bleh, I'd rather hold my nose and eat the meat. I also jump rope every now and then along with me tred mill. I love to swim and I'm not shy about my body. I want to lose weight because its unhealthy for my height and alot of my family have recently within the past 2 yrs have had strokes/heart attacks (all surviving) and their all kind of young for heart attacks... I'm just worried for my health more then looks, not to mention its irritating going to wally world and nothing fits you because you weigh more them 90 lbs stressed scream

Alright. I'm going to Unviersity in the fall, and I don't want to gain the freshman fifteen. Any suggestion on how to maintain my current weight, besides the obvious which is to stay away from fast food??

I hate diets. I just don't see the point of it. It takes away from your splendor, and if conforms you into everyone else. Should I ever get another girlfriend, I only pray she wants to stay the way she is. Am I weird about this? sad

Well no one mentions the actual diet part. No sugars and no carbs is the best way to do it. Drink lots of fiber (it helps trust me) and lots of exercise. At one point I was doing karate 3 hours a week and working out when I wasn't doing that. Since I started work that's hard to keep up but I try to maintain the 60lbs I lost.

I'm not in the best of shape or health, but here's what I do...
Whenever I'm hungry and it's not mealtime, I drink a bottle of water. I've only drink one soda a week, and I've cut the amount of junk food I eat in half.
I'm also in JROTC and we have physical training every Friday. I'm on the Raider team, which is like the Army Rangers, only for teens, and we have practice after school Wednesday and Friday.
For people who are not in JROTC: I walk one mile everyday, and jog half of one. I do 50 situps and 25 pushups and 30 minutes of kickboxing or dancing. Just do whatever you enjoy, as long as it gets your heart rate up!
I've lost 25 pounds so far, and I have 15 more to go!!!
