She caught the bullet and stared at it.
"I have no idea. All the different factions are attacking anyone who gets in their way. My husband was killed by loyalists when they tried to gain control of the rail way. Maybe she did something to anger the Order."
Alora walked over to the night stand and set the bullet down. Some of the blood from the bullet was still on her hands. She just stared at it silently. A tear ran down her cheek and she shoved her hands under her apron.
"Do you need anything?"

"I'm sorry to hear that you lost someone dear to you like that Alora. That would make sense, but what exatly would anger them to the point of murder if they worship Christ who strictly forbids such actions? It worries me...Can you keep it secret that I'm taking her with me tommorrow, unless you absolutely have to tell? I'm going to protect her, and you for as long as I am in this town. If you don't mind that is. Because you sheltered her, they'll be bound to come after you. Not to mention me as well. I saw your handgun. And couldnt help but think that this could be of some use to you."
He searched through his clothing, looking for something. He pulled out a small box of see-through glass tipped chemical bullets. And handed it to her, with a second clip for them.
"The green are watered-down nitroglycerin shots. The red are acid shots, and the yellow are poison. It's my special mix. Use it if you must. The green explode. Red burn anything natural or organic. And the poison is skin sensitive, so wear gloves for safety when loading them. You'll need to be on your guard from now on. I apologize for this inconvenience, and scaring you with this. But I feel it necessary to give you a fighting chance against them if you have but that one gun. Think of it as a little payback."
He gave a small smile.
"You should get some rest, its late. I'll take care of her until morning."

"Thanks for all the help. You be sure to get some rest as well. If you would like, the room across the hall is empty. You could sleep there if you like. I'll be at the end of the hall if you need me."
Alora walked out of the room and shut the door gently. She placed the packets of bullets in a dresser drawer and kicked her shoes into a corner. The full moon shone in through the window and cast an erie light across the dark room. Alora took off her apron put it on the hook on the back of her door. She saw the blood still dried on her hands and began to cry. It reminded her of the horifying day that Jacob went missing. She ran down to the school with the other parents and began to search through the rubble to any survivors. Hundreds of children were injured. Blood was every where. And Jacob was no where to be found. She was sad that Chris was dead, but the fact that she didn't know where her own son was tore her up inside. She shook her head and wiped the tears off her face, and undressed for bed.

Ginseku could tell from simply looking around the room that a child had once lived there, simply from the dimensions of the room. He looked the girl over once more, searching her pockets. finding an I.d.
"Kaonna...beautiful name."
He put the I.d. back, and put a blanket over her. Turning around, and putting the shrouded hood on, he walked from the store slowly and silently as he closed the door. He walked out into the cold night, his gun openly sheathed. He walked about the place, and found the rubble of a school. Finding pictures that children had drawn smeared with blood and rainwater. He was looking for something. He picked up a drawing. It had a name.
"Jacob. It sounds...familiar somehow...huh. Cute. 'My family' huh?"
He searched for more things that had Jacobs name, but finding none, he returned to the store. And noticed a family picture of Alora and her son and husband on the floor. He read the back. And his eyes went wide.
"Jacob? It couldnt be.. Then this must be her sons drawing..but what happened to him?..It's none of my business. I'll just give her this picture and drawing and be done with it."
He walked up to her room and knocked on Aloras door.

Alora sat up in bed. Some one knocked at her door. She hopped out of bed and hurried to the door, just in her pajamas. 'What could it be?'
"Yes?" She opened the door just wide enough to see out. Ginseku was standing there dripping wet, something clasped in his hand.
"Wha... Why are you all wet? Come in here, I'll get a towel." She opened the door wide and pulled him in. She dug through a cabinet in search of a towel.

Ginseku closed the door slowly, just to a crack.
"Alora, I don't usually stick my nose where it doesn't belong, but if it has to do with the well-being of my host sometimes I can't help myself. Would you please explain this to me?"
He handed her the photo with the picture underneath.

Alora stopped digging through the cabnet and turned around. Ginseku handed her the family photo that was down stairs, and a wet paper underneath it. She looked at the old wet picture and tears welled up in her eyes. She tried to stifle them as best she could, and handed the framed photo back to Ginseku
"That's Chris, my husband, the one who was killed in the attack on the trains. And that is my son, Jacob. He went missing a while back after the local school was bombed." She pointed at the two people in the picture.
"And this was a picture he drew the week before he disapeared." She walked over to the bed and sat down.

Kaonna lay perfectly silent. In her mind, she was reliving the death of her parents and the abuse she had endured from her aunt. Suddenly, she snapped back to reality, sitting straight up in the bed she was on.
"Where am I?" she said as she gazed around like a frightened child. She tried to remember what had happened, but nothing was coming to her. She felt lost and confused, much like she had the day her parents had left her with her aunt. She started to make a mad dash for the door, but by the time she had taken one step, dizziness had set in again and she fell to the floor with a loud crash.

Kaonna struggled to stand back up, but her body just wouldn't let her. She managed to pull herself onto the bed. She would have to wait there until either she was strong enough to walk away, or until someone came. She was scared and for the first time since her parents left her, she shed a tear.

"Alora, im so sorry for making you relive this. But I'd like to help you find him if you'll allow."
Ginseku gave a small smile, with a bith of sadness for her loss. Then he heard a crash coming from Kaonna's room.
"What the hell? Alora, down! Quickly!"
He pulled her down to the floor and silently pushed her behind her bed, handing her her gun from the nightstand.
"Stay here. If anything happens, gather your things and run. I don't want you to get hurt. Ok?"
Without waiting for a response, Ginseku stood, drawing his buster and keeping it close. He sidestepped to the door, opening it slowly. He moved down the hall carefully and quietly. And opened Kaonna's door and moved in quickly, glancing around looking for intruders. He pointed his gun at Kaonna, thinking she was an intruder. Then seeing that there were no people around, he put away his buster and kneeled down next to Kaonna.
"Hey there Kaonna. Did you fall out? Don't worry, you're in safe hands. I cleaned up your bullet wound. You're in the house of the general store owner. You have no reason to fear us, we're here to help you. Mind telling me What happened to you?"

Nick ran upstairs, pulling out his Ruger and running into the room where he heard the crash come from. "Is everyone all right?" Seeing the man that had entered earlier tending to a girl he didn't know, he holstered his gun. "Oh...you. My apologies. What's wrong with the girl?"

"Nothing much. She just fell out of bed. I'd be scared too if I fell out of bed in a place I didn't know after being shot. But yeah, she's ok. May I ask your name sir?"
He looked the man over a few times, remembering him from earlier. He too was a Loyalist. But who was he?

Nick nodded. "Nick Kailen, Supreme Commander of the Loyalists." His hand drifted to his hip again. "And yours?"
