Mithlond :: Mindon Lindlieva 24 Quelle in the Reckoning of Lindon 30 Narquelie in the King's Reckoning
Oblivious to perils of perils of Glorfirith, the High King and his entourage passed through the white gates to the Mindon Lindlieva, the tower of Gil-galad. Within the courtyard of that tower stood great gardens and flowing fountains, with the golden autumn leaves blanketing the marble walkways. The company was flanked on both sides by minstrels, who heralded the return of their King with their golden and silver horns.
Standing before the great doorway into the House of Ereinion were those Counselors of the King who had not awaited his return at the havens. The Elven-king smiled at his friends as he urged all inside. "Make haste, friends, for if there is to be a wondrous feast tomorrow, preparations must be begun!" And the Counselors bowed, and they summoned up those who planned those great feasts and parties.
But Gil-galad did lead his company to his parlor, and had them seated. "Let us ease ourselves now, while we await the return of my Counselors. Come; speak freely. What manner of wedding is it that thou had requested? A Masquerade, you said? That is an odd tradition, or at least it be so to my old Elvish ears..."

Mithlond Streets 24 Quelle in the Reckoning of Lindon 30 Narquelie in the King's Reckoning
Glorfirith really had no intention of climbing down off the column and going with Elrond. When Elrond said he was in no hurry she just sat down at the top of the column and stared off into space smiling. She really wanted to get to Gil-Galad's home before dark. She was hoping that her old room was still there. She doubted it though. She hadn't even been to visit her uncle for a long time.
She noticed Elrond stalk off and wondered if it was a trick. She made to get down to see if he would come back if he heard her. Just as she thought, he came right back around the corner. She smiled at him as he turned and left again. She waited a few minutes. Nothing. It was getting a little later than what she'd like. She shrugged and took off over one of her escape routes, a conveniently low roof within jumping distance. She leaped gracefully onto the roof and across a few others in the direction to her uncle's home.
She walked quicker and as quietly as she could hoping that Elrond would not jump out at her. She made it without incident to Mindon Lindlieva and went in search of her uncle.
She bumped into some one in the halls and the Elf told her where she would find Gil-Galad. Not thinking she went to the door of the room the Elf had said, opened it and walked in rudely without knocking. She found herself in with a group of people. She paused thinking of something to say. Instead of speaking at all she walked back out shutting the door behind her. She then turned and faced the closed door, knocking politely.

Nolah Pennbeleth
" It isn't a widely practiced tradition my Lord," Nolah spoke quietly, in awe of being in the presence of such a being. She had met few elves in her life and to be sitting in the presence of a great king unnerved her slightly.
"It was something my parents would do when they held banquets. 'Tis merely a childhood memory and fancy which I hoped to indulge. I thank you for granting my wish." She paused for a moment before continuing. "Only those who desire shall sport a mask, I do not require it of everyone...also my Lord, I hope I am not too presumptious in asking where I may claim my lodgings, it is only that the woman who accompanied me from Gondor is not quite finished with my dress and she desires somewhere to work..." Once more she paused in her words and then bowed her head with respect. Her hair, so tightly bound before, now hung in curls about her face and a small chain of silver hung amongst them.

Neniel Starfire Loswen Starlight
With the chaos lifted with the elf maiden and the lord Loswen had told Neniel was Elrond, the sisters left the area to find something else to do. Everyone was going to Gil-Galad's tower, but Neniel wanted to see the city first. So Loswen, having been here only a few times, did her best to show her little sister around the Gray Havens. Finally, it was getting dark and they too knew they would be wanted for the wedding soon to come. Loswen lead the way, but as yet they did not arrive at the tower.

Mithlond 24 Quelle in the Reckoning of Lindon 30 Narquelie in the King's Reckoning Araloth Vinyare
Araloth had been watching the escapade between Lord Elrond and Glorfirith - someone had mentioned her name. She smiled as the elven maid darted off onto a roof. By this time, most of Lord Gil-galad's party had retired to his halls, except for Loswen and her sister, who had disappeared off somewhere. The sound of footsteps jolted the elven maiden, and she realized with a start that Elrond was returning. Before she could make an escape, he emerged around the corner, holding *something*. Uh-oh, Araloth thought.
(hope Onoj doesnt mind that)

Mithlond - Mindon Lindlieva 24 Quelle in the Reckoning of Lindon 30 Narquelie in the King's Reckoning
Menegil Belmagol Elendil the Tall Morthol
"My wife could help her. She is one of the finest spinners of Mithlond, and is well known for her ceremony clothing. And my home has quite a large studio that she uses to work on her finest pieces. Your friend can work there, with mine and my wife's blessings" Menegil suggested. The thought of a wedding in Mithlond pleased him greatly, after so many days in foreign lands.
"The best music, the best food, and...a joust tournament!" Elendil said loudly. "That would cheer up the people. What do you think of this, Ereinion?"
"But...sire... a joust?" Morthol laughed to himself.
"Yes, Morthol, a joust! I don't mean a duel between riders, no. I mean a friendly sports' competition between us, and the Elves. Archery, Swordplay, races, acrobatics, swimming, sailing..." Elendil kept muttering, a number of other sports also being mentioned.
Menegil laughed. For him, such an idea was brilliant, and it would be even more so, if the High Kings would also participate. Isilien laughed, amused with the strange thoughts of the High Numenorean King.

Nolah Pennbeleth
"That sounds wonderful." Nolah said, smile somehow brightening, she cast an loving look on Morthol and then turned her smile to the Numenorian King. " You have been very good to me Sire," She bowed her head again, in respect and thought of the beautiful dress that would be made for her wedding. " And thank you, "She paused unsure of the Elf's name, " ,for lending to Larion, the use of your studio, it's is quite kind of you."
Thoughts of the competitions, and games chased each other around in her head and she felt content, excited and nervous.

Nolah Pennbeleth
Along with the feelings of elation came a sense of exhaustion, an exhaustion she felt deep within her bones. She desperately wished for somewhere to rest but she'd seen little of Morthol on the voyage to Mithlond and now that she was with him, she did not want to leave his side and oh, to be in such a place as she was, before an Elven King, and a retinue of the most noble people she had ever seen together in one room. Fleeting thoughts quickly passed as she tried to smile past the sudden fatigue.
She knew not where Larion was, assuming the old woman had been admitted to Nolah's guest-chambers and awaiting her arrival, she must be told about the studio that the Elven Lord had so graciously offered but alas, much to her horror and embarrassment, a small yawn broke free, past her lips though she rose a hand quickly to muffle it. She felt her cheeks blush crimson.

Neniel Starfire Loswen Starlight
Though Loswen should have followed her friends to Gil-Galad's tower, Neniel found a small handful of Dunedain Rangers who had come with Elendil and the young Ranger from Osgiliath would not leave for a long time. When they finally did leave, the sun was setting over the sea, darkening the skies and allowing the stars to show themselves. Neniel streatches as they walk towards the tower, Loswen wondering where Nolah would be and if these two half-elf sisters should stay with the others that had traveled with them, or find an inn to sleep in, though they had not seen any thus far.
Neniel yawned. What time is it?
Loswen laughs. The time I usually enter the Houses of Healing back home. Didn't you ever have the night watch?
Only when I could sleep while the sun was up.

Araloth said, pointing in the direction Glorfirith had taken. a few seconds later, she was headed down the street. I would not be around when they meet up again, not for anything.she thought. Hearing voices, though it was late at night, Araloth turned towards them, and resumed her search for a place to spend the night.

"Gladly would I do so My Lord, yet I know not where my chamber lies." Nolah said softly. She bowed again, still in awe of the beings before her. Gently she grasped Morthol's hand in her own, intertwining their fingers.

Mithlond :: Mindon Lindlieva 24 Quelle in the Reckoning of Lindon 30 Narquelie in the King's Reckoning
The High King chuckled heartily at his niece's actions. "Come in, if you wish it, Glorfirith; though I fear you are five minutes too late! We were just getting ready to retire to our chambers, for Tilion flies swiftly above!" He turned to Nolah and Morthol then, and spoke to them saying: "Well, that would be a problem, wouldn't it? But fear not; the servants of my tower know where you will rest during your stay. Culatar!"
An young Elf of high stature then entered into the parlour. "Lady Nolah, Lord Morthol," said the High King, "meet Culatar, a highly esteemed servant of my household; and it is he whom Menegil spoke of earlier. He shall guide you to your rest-chambers." Culatar bowed deeply before the guests, and upon rising he motioned to the parlour-room door.
"Follow me, if you would," said Culatar, smiling as he did so, "I have already tended to the Lady Larion; Lord Menegil's manor is indeed not too far off." As he spoke, it seemed clear that he was msot content with his living; clearly, servants of the Eldar were treated just as greatly as the kings themselves, for there were few who served who did not do so of their own will.
Culantar was just beginning to lead the two engaged Edain from the parlour when suddenly Gil-galad halted him. "Oh, Culantar!" he said suddenly, "Save me the trip and ring the Council Bell as you lead these two fair ones to their room, if you could."
The servant then looked upon his lord warily, for rarely were unscheduled councils held. "Aye, I shall do that, my lord."
"And I thank you for it!" he said still grinning, and he waited until those three had left. "Now I hate to be a rude host, Tar-Elendil, but pressing matters call us to council, and it cannot be delayed. A pity; for I would have you rest after your long journey, rather than be pulled along to do as I please. It does not suit you! But, alas, let us go now to the porch where such councils are held." And he looked then at all others present in the parlour. "Isilien, my fair daughter; and Glorfirith my niece, and all others: I shall not ban you from this counsel, if you so desire it, but as I have said the matter is urgent, and you may not care to listen. Do as you please."
And he rose, striving to reach the porch soon. The matter of Orcs advancing through the Ettenmoors was ill-bodeing for the Elvenking. In the distance the bells chimed thrice.

Loswen looks back to see someone she knew she should know (can't remember where they met). But, being the friendly healer, she waves the other over. Just as she does, Neniel tilts her head and the bells go off. What's that about?I don't know. But it's comming from the High King's Tower.

Mithlond :: Mindon Lindlieva
24 Quelle in the Reckoning of Lindon 30 Narquelie in the King's Reckoning
Nolah Pennbeleth
Nolah gave Morthol a small smile as they wove their ways through beautiful corridors, following the lead of Culatar. " I wonder where our wedding chamber lies?" She asked Morthol softly, a glint in her eyes, as they continued on. Presently however the elf came to a halt before a large oaken door.
"Here is your chamber My Lady." He said, sweeping his arm towards the door in question. "All of your things have been brought up already and I've been told to inform you that Larion will be back on the morrow, early mind you," He said with a smile, "with your dress. Also, which maidens would you like to come and spend the morning with you-to help you prepare."
"Loswen, a good friend and one of my companions that has traveled with me from Annuminas, and if she wishes her sister as well. I would like the Princess' presence as well, if she would be so kind...and Larion will of course be there...oh..I cannot think straight at this moment. I have to rest..."
"Of course Lady." Nolah smiled her thanks to Culatar and then turned to Morthol. Getting up on her tiptoes she kissed him slowly and then pulled back.
"I shall see you at tonight's meal, if not earlier?" She inquired. " Good-bye my love." She gave one last kiss and then entered her rooms, the door falling shut behind her.
