dixieme Mari-Yukima Hhhm to hard, but one thing is for sure...I HATE the Tetsu era..... I like the Gackt Era the best, but Klaha was MADE for MM, he just came at the worst possible time ever! Personaly I love the Tetsu era...I feel some of Malice Mizer's best music came from that era. Please explain why you "HATE" the tetsu era. I'm determined to find out why many people dislike the Tetsu era. >__> Some people say its his voice...some say its because they're actually playing instuments...which I find funny because in every era they use instruments. XD How else would they make music? XD By blowing wind out their a**? I highly doubt it. XD o_O I seriously don't see what wrong with Tetsu's voice. I think it's amazing, very different. Different doesn't make it "bad" which alot of people seem to think.

[NOTE: some things I say may make no sense at all because I am fatigued, out of focused, on a dead sugar rush, miss my wife because she's at school, and need to go to bed because I haven't had a good sleep in weeks. Just bear with me and try not to think I'm being verbally violent. I'm just really messed up in every way one can possibly imagine today.]
Truthfully, Tetsu's voice wasn't exactly the best. But after a while, he grew on me, and for some of his songs, like "seraph", "Baroque", and "Lafflesia" (my favorites), were just... magic. I can't stop listening to them. o.o- He's very, very good, but not as cut out for Visual Kei as he is for what he's done lately. All in all, he's not as bad as people say he is. Just a little awkward at first.
Gackt... Beautiful singer, beautiful in appearance, and great composer (though some of his solo works sound too damn alike, and that gets boring after a while. Kinda why I'm not too fond of "Redemption", it sounds like a big mix of some of his solo works into one maxi single release), sadly people, mostly girls, throw their ******** fandom just SO FAR OUT OF PROPORTION. >_>; Gackt is great, but he's not PERFECT... Jeez. Gackt does not mean "God" and it never will. >_<;;;;;;; Who is in the band should never matter. When he left, so much of MM's fanbase went with him it made me SICK. Just goes to show you how stupid people are over a pretty face... D=< (Still... I really liked this era. It was wonderful.)
Klaha... He was... just so white. xD Neither Gackt nor Klaha truthfully looked that Japanese, but Klaha was like... HOMIGAWD, WHITE MAN WITH GOOD JAPANESE! O__o;;; But now that he's solo and like Gackt, dropped the goth look, he definately does look japanese again. xB (sorry, that was just so random.) ... *erm* Anyway, he has a beautiful voice and he's a wonderful lyricist. Poor Klaha was accused of trying to replace Gackt when Gackt left on his own account. Klaha deserved a better fanbase. D=

Oh, two updates. Klaha's solo work is really pretty. Although, it's very VERY pop-ish. And "Lafflesia" has been replaced with "Sadness". 3nodding

I pick the gackt era..the reasons are
1. I am a fangirl aswell
2. In my eyes the klaha era didn't work for me
but everyone has a different taste

I would have to say the Klaha era.
My reason for this, is because Klaha's era was much darker then the other two. His songs were so much more...gothic. The organs were wonderful, along with the harpsicord! xD
Gackt's era is in close second, because he was so sexual in Malice Mizer, and I loved it. xD

I've listened to mostly only
songs from Malice Mizer during the
Gackt era... so I can't really say much but...
I think Klaha's voice fitted Malice Mizer the
most. His deep voice is awesome. domokun

My favorite was definitely the Gackt era. You watch a video from that era, and the band looks so happy ^_^. The Klaha era was great too, Klaha's voice was incredible. But it's sad to listen to them knowing that it's not Kami drumming in the background crying
And Gackt and Mana's shenanigins on stage were always fun xp

Okay, era overview coming up.
Tetsu era: Tetsu's voice doesn't bug me at all. I also appreciate the fact that Mana and Kozi are actually using their instruments. Why they don't as much in other eras will never be known.
Gackt era: Hmm. We have Voyage, which is french pop, and Merveilles, which is hard to describe. The whole era is pretty light (in other words, not dark), and I prefer dark over light. It's still a really good era, and Gackt's a really good vocalist, but I don't like the style of music quite as much as the others. Also, it has the highest percentage of songs I don't really like.
Klaha era: Oooh, gothic! There's a lot of pretty darkness here. And, Klaha's very operatic. Yay. They probably could have used female vocalists more, like they did in Seinaru, though. Favourite era.

I'd have to say, that every era is my favorite. :] Each era produced a different style of music. Each has it's unique style, therefore, for me, it's hard to pick. There's so many good points in each era. All had amazing music, which makes me continue to love Malice Mizer to this day. :]
