I completely love Mussorgsky... his music can be hard to play but he is so amazing. His name is also extremely amazing... I named my viola after him this year. I also enjoy playing Andrew Lloyd Webber although I make a point to avoid his pieces that are in the key of B, but besides that, his pieces are really neat. I love how his pieces swell and ebb and all of the tunes are extremely catchy... once I hear them I can't get them out of my head for the rest of the day.

Currently, my most favorite composer is Camille Saint-saens...if you people haven't heard the "Carnival of the Animals", i highly reccomend it! The Allegro Appassionata is also very wonderful-extremely moving if you love cello.

I think my favourite composer is Vaughan Williams, with his orchestra music. I like the beautiful harmony's in his peaces and his modulations. I love modulations! I playd one peace of him in an orchestra. There are so many voices! You have the orchestra and another orchestra: orchestra 2, wich includes two different 1st violinvoices, two different 2nd violinvoices, two different violavoices, two different cellovoices and a contrabas. In the 'normal' orchestra every voice (1st, 2nd violin, viola, cello, contrabas) has two different voices and the first chair of every voice has solo's... How much voices do you have then!!!

My favorite composers are Bach and Handel (I really can't chose)
I love how Bach's pieces just flow steadily onwards....
and I also love how Handel's Water Music is so.... masterfull.... I have this version where they use like 50 snare drums and.... it gives me the chills everytime....

I'm quite fond of Handel and Mendelssohn at the moment. The emotions which they can prevoke are amazing. Although, you can't forget Bach, he's certainly the master.

Fantasia on a Theme... we're playing that in Honor Orchestra. It's very pretty, but honestly not nearly as hard as the music we've played in the past.

I love that song...it's one of the hardest songs I've ever played. Not the hardest though. Of course, I wasn't in Orchestra I or a soloist, or I might be saying something different.

Fantasia on an Original Theme? That's an amazingly beautiful song. I played that... uh... in seventh grade summer orchestra I think. That or Sixth grade regular orchestra. It's really, a very beautiful piece though, you must admit. Rather simple, but very beautiful.

Hmmm, so I think my favorite violin concerto of all time is Tchaikovsky's, with the Brahms and Sibelius close seconds. However, I think my favorite overall composer right now is Bach.
