The rich can afford to live more than comfortably with higher taxes (I'm not going to get into the whole "trust-fund kids" thing...it just serves to complicate matters, and derail the conversation). Therefore, they should pay taxes based on that. The lower classes, who get their tax break, have more money to spend on buisnesses, that are owned BY THE RICH. So, in the end, the lower classes are happy with thier tax break, and the higher classes are happy with having more profits in, thanks to more buisness. The government is happy because all of this extra money gets taxed, and some of it goes into the federal piggy bank, where it can be used to fix roads, fund research and development, et cetera. Everybody's happy. I am kind of with Drewser in that just because you are in the lowest income bracket doesn�t mean you should not have to pay taxes, especially since the rich have to pay the same taxes that they do on their first bracket however much that bracket is. In the US system, they have to pay more if they earn more, and after they leave the first bracket income, they subtract that amount from their income and take out for the next income bracket and so on and so forth. So the I don�t believe we should let them off with a free pass either. Except for the fact that despite everything, humans are not logical beings. I doubt that the rich people would stay silent just because the poor are spending more. In my opinion, the wealthy are the ones that want to eat their cake and have it too. Rich people also carry more political weight, and sooner or later they're going to be the ones with the tax cuts again.

Somewhere in Texas at the southwestern border, a friend of mine told me the fence to border the U.S and Mexico is 4 feet tall, which of course he saw this himself. It is just embarrasing, even though we have built a better, high-tech fence, the illegals still pass....With $5 Ladder! Come on, people! If we can't make this job easy, I say Electrify the fence, turn the darn thing prison fence. We may not have the manpower to cover the border, but we must think of someway to stop the illegal flow, this will do our country a great change of crime level. What is also stupid in a related subject is that U.S. Border guards are being arrested just for shooting an Illegal, espeically one who smuggled Weed in the U.S., due to Liberal Stupidity.
According to Statistics, 40% of the crime here in the United States is commited by Illegals. Due to the this high rate of illegal actitivy 40% of California is Mexicans and in a ratio of 20-30% is illegal, 23% is Hispanic/white, 19% is African American and 18% are from Asia.(Forgive me for Ethnic Statistics)

Do you know how much it would cost to build, electrify and maintain 1,951 miles of fence? Not only would that cost tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars but it would seriously hamper legal immigration across the border which is the most legally crossed border in the world. We have 350 million people crossing it every year legally.

Not only would that cost tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars but it would seriously hamper legal immigration across the border which is the most legally crossed border in the world. We have 350 million people crossing it every year legally. *shrugs* It sure beats having more gangs, and death per year, what grinds my gears is these Illegals are Freeloaders, Meaning they get free money and do nothing, while We work our Butts off, earning money. what i say, is that we must rewrite the law that says any child born in this country can become a citizen while their parents are illegall. Also deport any foreginer that has no idenfication, such as Passport, Green card (I think they are no longer called those anymore), or any proof they are a citizen or just visting the country Legaly. Their little march on May 1st 2006 was just crap, since they wanted citizenship and wanted to go to school, just by not going and leaving jobs, yet we treat them as Citizens since they are not. In 80's a Law was passed to allow Illegals who hopped over the fence apply for Citizenship, but for 20 years illegals refused and remained in this country, But i see no point for them to be in this country if they don't want to become Citizens, they must leave. The Electic Fence was a Figure of speech, forgive me.

So those illegals who work in harsher conditions, for less pay and longer hours than you are freeloaders now?
All so you can have nice and cheap produce at the store.
This country was founded on cheap labor and has continued to remain that way since its birth. It's not going to change, all you'd have would be businesses going to look for cheap labor to maximize profits.
