I don't see how in the heck Cloud killed Sephiroth in both Advent Children and FFVII. I mean, in FFVII, Sephiroth could've hit Cloud with his wing and Cloud would've died. Bam.
In Advent Children, Sephiroth just sat in the middle of all those swords coming at him. He could've moved. I mean, for real.
ninja You see, Sephiroth has an odd sense of humor. He purposefully lets Cloud thinks he's won, only to pop up out of nowhere a few years later and mock him. C'mon, it's happened at least twice now, and It'll probably happen again. I love Sephiroth's mocking. 'Specially all the amazing stuff he says in Advent Children.
Personally, I kinda sorta agree with that. Seriously. But I think it actually goes a bit deeper than simple ridicule. I won't get into that long-winded theory of mine here, mostly because I'm too lazy to type it all out right now, but I have noticed that in Last Order, the end of the actual game, and in Advent Children, Sephiroth
lets Cloud kill him... Or in the case of Last Order, he actually kills himself by jumping into the Mako pool at the bottom of the reactor. Part of my theory revolves around the fact that, once upon a time, Sephiroth and Cloud were comrades. Maybe not friends, or maybe they were (I'm hoping Crisis Core will go more into that), but either way, there was a time when they respected each other, at the very least. My point is that even though Sephiroth IS evil and twisted and likely insane, there is still a part of him that cares. He is still human, after all, with a heart. That's just my opinion, of course, but I think that poor Sephiroth was doomed from the very start, thanks to Hojo and ShinRa, who were the ones that decided he would be an experiment as opposed to a normal, human soldier.
