Is there a difference between a sub-forum and a board?
Well anyhoo, I was thinking we could have a subforum or whatever on Guilds. Many people talk about guilds on GW, obviously, and many people would like to get tips, tricks, help, ideas, alliance stuff and other things on that sub-forum.
By the way, the RP thing sounds fun, but it shouldn't be over-used. Example, people making threads every second of themelves RPing in a different area or soemthing.

I personally like the guild subform idea beacause it would be nice if you were just scrolling down a list of guilds and something caught your attention you would click on the guild and find more about it mrgreen

A sub-forum for Guilds, where 1 guild would have 1 thread and you could scroll through the ist of threads, right? That's what you guys would like?
Well, lemme shed a little light onto why I can't do this. Ok, more or less won't.
On the main page scroll over to the 3rd page. That's why. After the first two pages fill up, any thread that gets..."Bump'd" off the second page is automatically deleted. I believe this problem is among the many concerns from users to the GM's here at Gaia, it currently hasn't been fixed.
Now, theres 15 posts per page in 1 thread. the Guild Thread is up to 4 pages, that's 60 threads. I believe theres about 50 threads per page. 50 times 2 is 100.
Which would mean that as of now, its fine and dandy, but in the future when we have loads and loads of more people in the guild, there won't be enough threads for all the guilds, and thats not fair to everyone. So, although, yes its a pain to run through this thread that's setup. It was designed with a purpose behind it.

However, A sub-forum dedicated strictly to "Guides" in general. Meaning anything from How To Get Through This Mission and its Bonus, to Character Builds, to Armor and Weapons: Where to get them and how.This won't be unfair to everyone. Because the Guides that really stand out as a better guide than all the rest can be easily stickied, while the rest that are really good will probably enjoy all the "Wow! That's just GREAT!" comments to keep it up at the top.
This is the sub-Forum we are looking to create, but I also need to know that someone will create threads for it.

You have great reasoning houshou. mrgreen I didnt really realize that...lol, the thing is that when I checked all of my other guilds only one other one seems to have this problem... oh well though who knows... mrgreen

I haven't seen any there....
I will look into it. But I do know that for fact after topics reach a certain page they are automatically deleted.
What I would LOVE to happen is to have them make Sub-Forums within Sub-Forums, and maybe even again one more time.
What I would do at that point is make a Guilds Sub-Forum. Then, in there Seperate it into 3 more sub forums, 1 for each game. Leaving the Main Guilds page open. Stickies would probably be FAQ's concerning Guilds, such as Creation, How to get a Hall, Which Hall to choose, How to make your own custom design on your cape, etc.
And inside the subforums for the different games, an entire thread dedicated to 1 guild. So that the Guild Members can discuss things and so that interetsed party members can ask questions.
That was my dream, but sadly. I don't think the Gaia GM's will ever release sub-sub Forums.

Um, yeah...regarding sub-Forums. Why do we not have one for GW:EN? OR one for specualation on GW2? we need these threads. Sheesh. I would do it my self, but im a member, not a admin or mod of the guild. This way, the GWEN and GW2 topics wouldnt get lost amung all the random topics on the main page.

We can't make more sub-forums because the current leader of this guild has not logged on gaia in forever

I actually have some ideas about some new sub-forums that would actually make the Guild a bit more interesting...so please check them out and think about getting them?
1.) Guild Spots:
----Guild Wars is such a HUGE game, and what is it mainly based around? That's right, Guilds! So for a Sub-Forum, we should make a section where people can make their own Guild Halls! This would be helpful in soooo many ways.
For one, it would let Guild advertise so that they can look for new members...and it would give new Members a chance to apply for a Guild more easily. Number two, it would help keep things more organized, because Guild Members could more easily keep up with Guild updates, and know where to meet and etc.
So that's one idea.
2.) Creativity Spots:
This might be a little confusing...so let me explain. The people that play Gaia are very creative. Some make movies and post them on youtube, some write fanfictions, and some draw really well. So, we should make a sub-forum for these such people!
In this pace, people could offer to draw Guild Wars avatars, show off their stories and movies. It would open up a whole new section to our love and passion for the game, and it would better connect the Gaia community. This is why I find that this is a very good idea.
3.) Roleplaying Spots:
This is my last idea and the least effective of the three. I know that Guild Wars is an MMORPG, so it is technically a roleplay, but still...sometimes you just cannot beat good-ole Gaia typing and natural all-text roleplays. I myself, would love to delve into such a thing because it helps you to better open up to your character and lose yourself to the illusion when you are actually playing the game. Of couse, the other 2 ideas above should come first...but this is just a bonus-add-on-thing. Just in case....
So that's all I have...please think it over, I think it would really help!
