Erm...wow. That's actually hard. On my flute it's definatly Sweet Simplicity (Flute/Piano...not band arrangement), though I can't play it at tempo...THAT's just impossible. Or maybe Sicilina and Giga (another flute/piano, since all our band pieces suck). On oboe...oddly enough it's the one song I hated playing...the seasame street theme gonk It's really little-kid-ish, but it's fun, and the first piece I played in concert on my oboe...

-'ROSS ROY' by Jacob de Haan!!! Freakin' awesome that piece.
-'October' by Eric Whitarce
-'Overature for Winds' by Charles Carter
-An arrangement of 'Let it Be' originally by the Beatles
-'Ye Bank and Braes O' Bonnie Doon' by Percy Elderidge Grainger... (This one is a joke... I literally HATED! this piece, just as everyone else did in my band, the Rocky theme fits true to this statement as well)

The one best thing you can play in your entire musical career would have the be Chorale and Shaker Dance.

Very popular piece.
Fun too.

I looooooves Pirates of the Caribbean!!!!!!! It ish so awesome! Though Grease isn't bad. I like listening to it. Just playing it is sorta boring. No offense.

I've played Pirates.
It is pretty nice.
For me . . . . . . .
Cirque du Soleil.
Hands down.

I really like to play anything from The Phamtom Of The Opera!

We played that last year. And we actually did it half decently. And it was a very fun piece to play. But my favorite piece to play would probably be. . . *thinks so hard you can the smoke coming out of the ears* Symphonic Dance No. 3, Fiesta. That was an Honor Band piece and it has got to be the best piece I've ever played in my life. If you haven't heard it or played it, download it now because you will probably love it.

I say.
Mars, Bringer of War, from the Planets by Holst
or
The first movement of
Inferno by(I can't remember who)

Both are really good songs, and
Vesuvius by Frank Ticheli is good
And (although I hate to admit it)
Allegator Alley by Frank Ticheli is good too!

I like Vesuvius, it's a cool song. I've neer played before, though. Did you play Vesuvius in Concert band or marching band? (if it was marching band, how hard was it to march to? Isn't part of it in 9/8?)

For the flute mine would definitely be "Into the Storm." It's the funnest song I've played for the flute. For the piano maybe "Scarboroguh Fair" with all the changes I made to the sheet music or "I'll be Seeing You"
