Climbing onto the ridge that bordered the rooftop, Cosworth stretched his wings out to their full extent. With that, he dove off the building, pulled his wings back, and let Sasuke and himself drop into a free-fall. After about forty floors, he pulled into a tight arc about five floors above street level. Making the right turn at close to ninety miles per hour, Cosworth was giving Sasuke the ride of his life.
Less than a minute had passed from jumping off the roof, and they had already landed. Letting Sasuke down off his back, Cosworth had one question, "Feeling alright, or was it too fast?" After hearing Sasuke's answer, he said bye and walked back toward a building he could climb for some elevation.
After gliding around the city all night he hadn't seen any other gargoyles. Disappointed, he landed back on the building he had been at the previous day. Watching the horizon, something caught his eye. With the night sky clear of the previous night's fog, he saw what he was sure was a gargoyle coming in for a landing on top of Xanatos's building. He couldn't wait to tell Sasuke.

The day had felt like a long one, no dreams, but a feeling of anticipation had been there all day. Waking up, he felt hungry again. But, he didn't really want to bother Sasuke for food again, so he went to the drive thru. Walking up to the microphone, he ordered two burrito supremes. When it came time to get the food, however, the guy at the window fainted. "He won't remember this." With that, Cosworth grabbed his food and placed the money next to the register.
Two burritos, three miles, and five minutes later he was at Sasuke's house. After landing, three quiet knocks were heard on the front door. Once Sasuke came to the door, Cosworth told him the news of what he was sure he saw just prior to dawn.

While Cosworth waited by the door, he started to wander a bit. Though not a lot, it was enough to remind him of his father's friend's house.<{(a guy Cosworth's dad had saved)}> Padded chairs instead of concrete, carpet instead of concrete, a TV instead of billboards, a roof instead of smog filled city skies, and the list continued. But, that had come to an end eight years ago when the guy had moved to New Jersey.
When he turned around, Sasuke was there and done with the call, which led Cosworth to ask, "So,... Who did you call?"

Hearing this, Cosworth's eyes lit up with anger. Clenching his fists, tight enough to make his right hand bleed slightly, all he had to saw was, "Screw what society thinks of me, we're going to walk straight in and take the elevator. Lets go find this Xanatos guy."

The walk to Xanatos's was a silent one. It took an eternity of thought to reach the doors of the building, yet this same deep and pissed off thought blocked out the physical trip completely, making the walk seem instantaneous. Once inside, they were met by an expressionless blonde man. Hmm,.. interesting,.. he didn't show any signs of fear. Looking slightly down at this man, Cosworth started off his list of demands.

"Is this Xanatos's building?"
"Yes."
"Where is he?"
"Under what business are you seeing him?"
"None of yours. Where is he?"
"His office."
"What floor?"
"I'm sorry bu"
Cutting him off, his eyes started to glow.
"What floor?"
"Top floor."

Looking at the corner of the lobby, Cosworth saw the elevators and got into one. With Sasuke right behind him, the doors cut them off from the blonde man.


"Hello, Mr. Xanatos. You have company. No. No. Yes. They are on their way up now."


Letting out a heavy breath, Cosworth looked down at Sasuke, "I hope we get something out of this."

As the elevator doors started to open, a man in a business suit could be seen waiting for them. Seeing the occupants of the elevator, the man addressed those within, "Mr. Xanatos's office is just down the hall." Walking past the man, Cosworth started down the hall toward the office. "Man. There's something about this place that's, just, well, I don't know, just, weird. I'm not complaining, but, nobody here seems to be trying to avoid me."

Coming into his office they saw Xanatos at his desk on the phone, "I have some visitors in my office." After a brief pause, "Yes, come down as soon as you can." Turning to his new guests, "What brings you here?" Standing in front of Xanatos, Cosworth looked him right in the eyes, "We have some questions." As they began to talk, nobody noticed the red gargoyle enter the office at the far set of doors.

Xanatos hadn't really answered Cosworth about whether or not any gargoyles lived there, he just kept changing the subject. As Xanatos went on about various things, Cosworth heard something in the corner of the room, a footstep, but he had not heard anybody else come in. Turning to look, Cosworth saw who had come in. It was another gargoyle. "Wow..." A couple questions entered his mind, but only one ever came out, "So, what's your name?"

"Brooklyn."

"Hi..." Cosworth's mind was drawing more blanks than he thought possible.
"Uhh,.. My name's Cosworth, and this is Sasuke. How ya' doin'?"
"Fine. What brings you here?"
"Well, you I guess. A while after my parent's lives came to their ends I started to hear rumors about others, here, are there more?"
"Yes and no. The rest are out on patrol. Goliath has been acting like an idiot lately and stuck me here."
"So, what kinds of things do you like?"
"Motorcycles, and well, fun stuff."
Suddenly, he remembered his dads old friend. The old man hated all of his relatives. Cosworth's dad was the only friend the guy ever had, so he had left most of his stuff to him. But, since both had passed away, everything had gone to Cosworth, including an old car and a Harley, both still sitting, gathering dust, in an old Jersey garage.
"Hey, Brooklyn, I just remembered, I've got a Harley that's barely been used, just sitting in a garage in New Jersey." He glanced over at Sasuke, "You guys want to go on a trip?"
