"Promise." He replied. "But I'll shove them up your @** first if you hurt her; I mean it." He took a deep breath and met Wolframite's eyes. "She's... I'm, we're seeing each other." He said at last. "I thought the only woman I'd ever care about this was Linarite, but... " He waved his 'good' hand, the metal one, not yet gnawed upon. "I let her in, bit by bit, and now, here we are." He knew it was a weakness to admit; he knew others would have terrible things to say. But there it was, a truth: he loved her.

And for once, during this entire exchange, he laughed. A barking bite of a laugh, both masculine, genuine and human laced with the roughness of something that rumbled. Still young, but far from the years of his boyish lieutenant days.
"Love has barbed your already sharp wit. They do well on you." He said, not one for thinking LOVE to be any kind of weekend. He was a strong believer in that love had always been something that made one stronger. Love for one another. Love for the Negaverse. One for the family created there. Love armed a officer with cause outside of their own self.
"Funny how it finds a way, doesn't it? You think there is no place for it, and the next moment it's creeping on quiet heels behind to embrace you." He tapped a few claws against their chin as he reached over and picked up his discarded bottle, swaying slightly as he hummed.
"Tell me about them. Who broke down the walls of the great General King ZInkenite."

"What can I say that won't sound cliché?" He laughed softly. "She's beautiful, smart, kind; she's trained in fighting with me... even if it was snowballs to get her accustomed to it. It's... a wonder to be with her. I can see truths in her eyes, and she loves me back, I mean, really... loves me. It's almost scary to know what that feels like." "I'll have to answer to her about the bite." He laughed softly despite the pain that still throbbed there. It wasn't as deep as he'd thought, but he still wondered if 'Not that deep' for Wolframite would amount to 'My teeth didn't touch'. "What about you, is there anyone who has, or could break down your walls?"

Wolframite paused and stared back, eyes narrowing with a curious little smile. It was far from the feral one brought out of the enjoyment out of a possible fight or Zink's pain.
"Oh, I do. We live together."
He took a sip of the booze, seemingly either having a higher tolerance (he didn't), or just not knowing when to stop.
"You two have met recently. Half-youma. Loves water. Scale-adorn."
He tapped his claws about the glass bottle. "La~ven~du~lan."
Yellow eyes narrowed at the officer who just recently sent the one closest to him to the infirmary.
"You have a way with introductions." He said as he growled the words.

"Ah... I see."
"No wonder she's such a good fighter," Zinkenite said after a moment.
"I thought she was just one of your officers. Did she find her horn cap? I put it in the bag of her sundries." He swished the bottle of tequila, watching the other's face for any notion of movement that might suggest he was at risk of losing his 'good' arm.
"I thought she was drowning, and she did...not appreciate the summons." He admitted. "It did not go well from there. I... was wearing the pendant that Meridiana gave me, which does mask me as General Sovereign, but I'm not entirely sure that would have stopped her tenacity for a fight either way."
Oh, he was absolutely going to have to train with Meridiana to make sure she was safe.

He tapped the claws against the bottle again. "Pulling an officer out of their current objective could garner some resentment. You might be mindful of being too hasty around half-youma. Treating us as solely human with the expectations for human-centric responses will do you no favors. In split moments, our self-preservation slides to our other natures."
The fur bristled against his spine, but he took a breath to sooth it.
"What a compliment from our generous General King. I do train with her. I suspect it's the only reason she only broke the few ribs she did and not all of them." He took another drink, letting the heat from the liquor settle down his throat.
"Of course sparring among officers shouldn't be reason for me to get upset. That would be crazy. Just some on the field training after all. Just injuries from the very nature of training and improvement, right?"
He stared back up at Zinkentite, locking eyes once again. "I look forward to training with Meridiana. For our betterment, of course." He took another drink as he grinned.
"I'm sure you've trained them well. I would love that in action."

"I can assure you, I didn't know that she was half youma at the time." He said, his voice growing icy.
"Resentment aside, you feel no different than any other officer of equal rank, and when I left, half-youma were a rarity limited to Bishofite and Tanzanite."
"But yes, I'm sure, especially if she uses her magic as Lavendulan did, she'll be an interesting challenge. Furthermore... I'm glad I held back; I would hate to have done her greater harm to get her to stop attacking."

"Sssuuurrreeee. I'll be sure to show some restraint. No biting, like you said. Leaves plenty else." He said with a pleased smile as he finished the bottle and set it aside, looking both victorious that he managed to finish it but also very pleased leaving everything in a warm wash that softened the edges.
"I am proud of her. To live. To be recovering. To put up a fight with you. Sad that I didn't get to you first though. Or watch. It would have been a sight."
He leaned back, content as his tail swayed behind him. "Funny. I thought we would feel different. I feel different." He said, though that wasn't the same as a starseed signature.
"Don't hold back with me. When it comes to use fighting. Break me." He said as he stared up at the dark expanse of rolling electrical clouds that made the Rift's skyline.
"How else am I gonna get better."

"The Ladies might be angry with us." Zinkenite mused.
Though the idea of a toe-to-toe fight with Wolframite was intriguing. Certainly, he'd be hurting before it was over.
"She was spectacular to fight. I confess, while I was frustrated she wouldn't stop attacking me, I was impressed at how well she did. If I'd been a general as she presumed, it would have been a great deal closer of a fight. She wore herself out, though, when she teleported me into the reservoir. It was a good trick; it would have been much more useful against a senshi."
He spoke with genuine admiration when he spoke of it as well.

"Why? Sparring it natural." He said, waving off the concern with a large paw.
"And they can kick our asses if they want. I never mind it." In fact, he found Laven going at him rather exciting. If she could send him to the infirmary, even better.
Pleased by the fighting assessment, Wolfy let out a long Hmmmm of pride at Laven's apparent first impression to the General King.
"I'll have to see how Meri handles in a fight to give you a report back. I do enjoy my spars with Laven. She keeps me on my toes." At least he still had those after his youmafication.
Curling a hand under his chin, he stared back at Zinkenite for a moment.
"So you're back at our headquarters again. What are you up to now? Will you do as Linarite. Find your own - hmmm - uhhhh - " He tried to think hard but had never watched the show before. " - ship crew?" He had no idea what Enterprise called themselves.

"I'd like to, or at least surround myself, with people whom I can trust overall. You're included if you'll be kind enough to believe me. Whatever animosity I may have left you with... it's an honest feeling, and I can respect that."
"I somewhat miss having Lieutenants to train, and I don't know most of the current Captains. Meridiana needs to be promoted, in my opinion, and by her file, though she turned it down before. There are a few officers I have my eyes on, but perhaps you can help train them, and I'm sure we can find more. Hopefully some that won't simply vanish like my smoke on an exceptionally windy day."

"Playing pretty dangerous with that trust." Most people knew better to trust a side swapper gone half-youma. His judgement could be seen as impared, not only from purifying and re-corrupting, but also the stigma of youma being not that level-headed.
"I train whoever I can when I see them in need, but I don't have a large team like everyone else." He felt warm, and he undid his coat to pop a few of the buttons with his claw to give his neck some breathing room. Some times he wondered if he should learn how to groom his fur to be shorter.
"I train a recruit named Miyamoto. They are part of my team. I help my partner. That's about it. Not very grand for a General but I'm s**t at gathering." He knew it was a fault on him for not reaching out and claiming more officers into his fold.
"Do flyers work? How does anyone do it anymore these days." He wasn't sure. Everything was more lax in some way, and stricter in others. A poster sounded silly, but he really wasn't sure how else to gather more agents for training with him personally.
"You - You ever feel TOO old for this new group of agents. We're practically ancient. No one knows who or what I'm talking about half the time."

"I choose to trust you when you say you won't leave again. I believe the fervor in your eyes, and I think that while you may have betrayed us once, you have learned from that experience."
He said with cool honesty. "I think the fervor, the zeal in your eyes, makes me believe in you more than some."
"I'm sure we can put out a flier and see if anyone is willing to engage in practice battles. I think more than a few could use it, but the two I mentioned, I'll contact them directly and send them your way. One of them has a...joke of a weapon at the moment, I think I mentioned, and the other is still weak in magic but could grow stronger. Either way, I want them to learn to fight for when their other skills fail them. I want them to learn to fight through pain as well, and your... venom will absolutely teach them that.

"oohhhh. You don't mind if I rough them up then? Do you have any - limits I should know. I suuupppoooosssseee we want them working well enough to not be unable to fight in the future. And I'll keep my teeth to myself unless they think pinning me down is a safe option." If they could even manage that.
"I have a office now too." It was a bit haphazard and he didn't like staying in there much, but he did have one.
"Should I send Miyamoto your way. You've already played with Laven." The half-youma General swayed back and forth to some unheard tune, content and feeling rather at ease now.

"I am, in fact, looking for them to be a little roughed up. I'd like to see them take things a little more seriously. In one case, the one with the ridiculous weapon, I mean. He tends at this time to be a little more flippant than I feel like he should be, given he's armed in such a way." He considered the other name proffered to him, decided he didn't remember them out of hand, and asked accordingly. "Feel free to send this Miyamoto my way, how much are you looking to have them... 'roughed up'. Or should I resort to my most basic training and cover them in chalk?"
