"Let's just say, at least in my timeline, this guy has a pretty sinister way of scheming but...." Tee trails off from his sentence as he tries to recall the events of his past but on bits and pieces come through. As if some of his memories were fading in and out while in this world.
Hearing Crystals words as well as taking I Nascour's plan of acting made Tee start to second guess whether he may have been looking at the situation wrong. However he wouldn't hesitate to act if Nascour would happen to try anything egregious. "I won't hesitate to do what needs to be done." Tee replied turning torwards the stone and Nascour. "I'm not letting you out of my sights. I'll accept." He warns as he raises his hand.

Kaya listened as the other shared their thoughts and opinions. He'd already been a bit disillusioned with most humans even before becoming a hybrid but those in Team Snagem had always been ones he felt he could trust, even if he didn't always agree with them. Tee and Crystal made their choices while he considered Nascour's offer and, as they approached him, he nodded to Tristen. "I agree with her. Take it or leave it, that's your choice alone but I can't let a kid get dragged into a fight with one of these things. So if you leave it, stay here and keep out of the immediate danger, ok?" He told Tristen. "Because if you try to join us as you are and we all die fighting it, your parents will never let me hear the end of it even in the next life." He assured the kid. This version, it seemed, didn't even know he had parents. Was this Tristen from a world where he hadn't met Blizz? Or was he simply from the wrong point in the timeline to know? Kaya barely knew the kid before his world was snuffed out and he couldn't even recall the details of how it had happened at this point. Was that because it had happened so fast or aneffect of being here, in this place?
"My mother used to tell me stories of these kinds of unrealities. The world beyond the mirror. Worlds that don't exist in the liminal spaces between reality and oblivion... Things like that. I never believed the stories but seeing this one with my own eyes? I'd like to go back and tell her they're real." He announced to Nascour as he approached. He'd always taken his mother's tales as simply children's stories but now? Had she experienced this kind of event as well?
Approaching alongside Tee and Crystal, he held out his hand."Team Snagem isn't just one reality..." He told them, offering what confidence he could, knowing this was going to be absolute hell for them all.

Reno didn't waste time touching the funny rock. Doing incredibly risky things on the offhand chance he'd survive was something that had gotten him through life so far way better than could be expected so why screw with the system? And as his hand drew close, a spark would leap off of the stone and give a bright flash before Reno was sent flying away with a yelp. But that flash packed so much power, so much might. He could feel it coursing through him, changing him already. Sure, that was probably a bad sign for where he had come from and what happened right after he had been dragged here, but he could reap the rewards with only some of the mental trauma for once in his life. Jolting upright from off the ground, Reno would look around the other gathered Snagems before shouting, "That was incredible! Ain't nevah felt somethin' like that before! 'Uge power and incredible speed! I'm invincible!" Throwing his fist up in triumph, Reno would finally get to see what his new incredible input of power had caused.
Mostly because his arm, even at full extension, was still easily within his eyesight and covered in black carapace. And as he gingerly put the limb to use getting himself back to his feet, he found he still had to stare up a ways to reach everyone else's eyes. Only Tristen seemed to be at an easy height to look at. Slowly lowering his gaze to actually analyse his body, Reno found a massive ruff of white fluff now around his neck and a pair of orange-red horns sticking out of it. And once he managed to peer past the fluff, he could finally see it.
He was child-sized, at best.
"Wot?" was all Reno could say as he looked at his newly earned height and reach.

Tristen wasn’t really sure what to do at this point. The conditioning that been instilled into him up to this point, every point literally and metaphorically beaten into him, was telling him to not listen to him. This meant weakness. Was he being tested? Was this part of the chief’s power? He did show that he was capable of doing crazy things, scary things. Tristen sat there, tightly squeezing himself as if he could actually shrink anymore, still terrified of the unknown before him, terrified of that is known if he disobeyed the chief’s decree. But as he listened to the adults nearby him, trying to convince him to get close to the stone, discussing what they needed to do, and the weird sight of watching a man just shrink into a tiny…bug man? Things started to not make a lot of sense at all. Something resonated, only just a bit within Tristen however. It was his choice. He never really had that before. A choice. At least not one that dictated rather he ate or starved another night at least. He needed to do it, however? For his sake? They needed his help? But if he didn’t take it, he was to stand aside. Let the adults fight this elemental thing.
He still didn’t know what was going on still. He wasn’t understanding it. Wasn’t comprehending it. He looked towards that stone. Maybe…that thing was what was going to be able to actually help him understand what was going on. Maybe know the scope of what was going on. The Electrike hybrid was slow to get up, but the slowly approached Nascour who held the stone. He had to stay strong at least as he faced this menacing looking stranger. But as he got close, Tristen felt something overcome him.
Tristen was older. At least 12-13 years old now. He lost his balance, only for a second. His head, ready to split open. It wasn’t because of the chief, no. In fact, the chief was now a non-issue. He was gone. Not here. At least…he thinks? It was something to be feared, but yet, something to be…loathed. Someone to be stood up to and fought against. Feelings and memories that conflicted with each other. As he looked at himself, filled out a fair bit better, taller by a least a good foot comparatively towering over Reno now, a new change of clothes that looked more modern, a part of civilization, clean…he started to comprehend things that were being said. Tales of the elementals, one of every type, one that stood out was one that was supposed to have clashed with a caretaker…a father. A father that…he never met? But yet, closely familiar with? Was loved by. That he both never met, yet lost? He remembers guidance that he had yet to get. Care that he longed for, that he had yet to get but had received in spades? A feeling of remembrance, but also a denial. As he looked at the other people there at the beach, faces he didn’t know, but yet faces he did. It didn’t make any sense as he stood there as his mind tried to process everything that came to him that was bestowed by the Chronos stone. ‘Age as if your world hadn’t died, that you would become who you should have been in every way imaginable’, as Tristen would recall in that conversation just a moment before. He would have been free. He would have been rescued. He would have been actually genuinely loved. It wasn’t going to be that easy, even then, however, but it was better than the hellscape he was in. And it was worth fighting for as he would end up learning over time. As he continued to look at himself, he had familiarity as he started to flex and stretch a little bit. Training, not the savage practices that he had been in, but actual guidance, practice, encouragement started to show. He held out his hand, electricity started to spark rather fiercely. This was lightning honed.
He would stop the electricity as another thing that Tristen started to realize about himself. He reached over towards his side, almost as if he needed to confirm to himself that he had it. Pokeballs. The tiny devices, he never saw them before…but would have. He made friends with those within these. He shocked himself when he realized how to release the Pokémon he had inside. He pointed the ball out and popped it open and out came the towering Dragonite. As the dragon looked down at him, the memories that fought to straighten itself out gave another wave of familiarity and minor bit of sadness. Tristen was destined for great things, it seemed like. He had command of a mighty Pokémon such as this. He then looked over to stare at the various Team Snagem members. He was part of the team. Though, some didn’t really recognize at all, regardless of the circumstance. Others however… “…Crystal…Kaya…Keiko…” Tristen uttered, the familiarity coming to him, the trust sprouting in him. Even if they weren’t the ones he knew, he knew of them, or at least supposed to know them.
He looked back towards Nascour, thinking back to what was said over the past several moments, then looked towards the others. In a complete change to the young child that he was, he spoke with a bit more conviction. “What do I need to do?”

Compared to Keiko's rather easy transition, others seem to be affected more heavily. Reno shrunk, Tristen grew, others changed in surprising ways. "Guess I got off kinda li-ow!" There was a sharp pain all over her body for a split second that faded immediately, followed by a really good, if kinda weird feeling after. That one faded quickly as well, but Keiko felt she had to shake her head to get the thoughts it brought with it out of her head, and as she did so, she felt some weird weight hanging off her head. She reached back and grabbed something furry... wait, that was her ear, wasn't it? Confused, she looked down at her hands. Brown fur, pink tufts around her wrists, and... the hell? Were those hers? Sheesh, she'd somehow gotten SIGNIFICANTLY curvier than she... used to? No, she knew this. That b***h Lovrina kidnapped her and turned her into a hybrid. But didn't she escape Lovrina? No, no she didn't. Or, well, she did, but not until after she had turned. Like hell she was going to let a bunch of strange men - Lovrina's followers, probably - do something likje THAT to her, no matter what her body wanted. She'd given up on men since Bruce, and was firmly on the girls' team since shortly before she joined Snagem.
Her head started to hurt as she tried to figure out which of her memories were hers. She'd taken her memories for granted a second ago, or at least it FELT like a second ago, but now she felt like she had to sort things out in her head. Though the more she tried, the harder it was, and the more her head hurt, so she eventually shrugged off the idea of even trying to sort her memories out. "Wait, what's going on?" she asked, trying to ignore the headache she was suffering from. She noticed Reno again, and was tempted to hug him since he was so cute, but she had a feeling he wouldn't like that, so she focused on trying to get the facts straight by asking the crowd. "My memories are kinda all over the place," she attempted to explain before holding her forehead with her right hand. That headache wasn't getting any lighter...

The Chronos Stone floated above Monique and the others, there but not-quite-there, as she reached—
A blast of static. A whir of tone. Monique looked back to see... Wait—why were there two people? She turned her face to come face-to-face with her human self, as if staring into a mirror into her past. Tapu, this is weird to see what I once was as... a separate person? Clearly, the weird form-shifting she had been having happen was gone, but why did it do this? Split her into two?
A blast of static. A whir of tone. Monique looked back to see... Wait—why were there two people? For the first time, she got a glimpse of the form she had been shifting in and out of since her arrival on Chronos: a Zoroark hybrid. When did I ever become that? Guess she's the one in this Snagem thing. Clearly, the weird form-shifting she had been having happen was gone, but why did it do this? Split her into two?
"Boo..." the two of them talked to each other immediately.
"I dunno whatcha up to, but dayum this is weird," human Monique responded. "Startin' to remember some new things too. Something about a revolt...?"
"This is new for me, too," Zoroark Monique responded. She felt a little different, but she wasn't sure how. Then she felt a cool brush on her right shoulder and turned her head to find that perched on her shoulder was an Alolan Vulpix. That wasn't there a moment ago—no, of course Haukea was there. Why wouldn't she be? In her favorite perch? "I don't know what's going on, but... I doubt they know you." Her hair bounced with the head nod to the other Snagems. "If they are versions of other Snagems... They've been around a long time without me."
"Gotcha. Well... I'm always down to fight alongside you. Just like I fought...against the king." Zoroark Monique headtilted at that revelation. Did this version of her, in her future, take out Faba!?

Crystal looked at the others showing up, giving a small smile to Tristen when he came forward. Closing her eyes, she lowered her hand after a moment, noting that she didn’t feel terribly different herself after gaining its blessing. Was it a fluke? Or was she never supposed to age much after this? Was this Nascour just a really good actor? Missing the fact that she now had a fifth Pokéball where she originally had four, she opened her eyes to view that most everyone else had some sort of change. Keiko mentioned her memories had changed, Tristen had a rapid age up, and Monique… split into two? Weird. And then-
Her gaze froze when her eyes landed where Reno had stood, tail straightening out and the tips twitching. In his place was something smaller. Fluffier. More chitinous. And very much bug coded. While Crystal had plenty of skips going on in her head as she registered a new Bug Pokémon, her body was moving on its own, a hand going into her bag to pull out… a giant mallet. No, it wasn’t a sledge hammer. It was a giant wooden mallet, easily the size of her, if not bigger. And it was currently being aimed straight at the newly hybridized Reno. As the hammer began to come down, her brain finally began to catch up to her, stopping the downward swing uncomfortably close to her new friend. “...Found what I was looking for earlier. One thing, at least.” Looking between everyone, she would calmly, if not with an amount of embarrassment, would pull out a different storage sphere and place the giant hammer into it, stuffing it into her pocket. Clearing her throat, she’d look around again, though not focusing on anything. “We can do this. We can work with a bug hybrid….”

As Kaya placed his hand upon the Chronos Stone, or near enough to it, he supposed, something suddenly changed. His memories suddenly felt jumbled. As if he had suddenly remembered something akin to a war veteran having flashbacks but less violent. Less jarring. But no less unwelcome. The scars on his hands spoke of years fighting the good fight. Wait... scars? He hadn't had those a moment ago. Had he? He scowled as he recalled that day. He’d gone to Vermillion City, intent on reclaiming the town from Surge and his militaristic hold on the city. The sea and the forest bought had claim to that land and Surge selfishly kept it for the humans to mistreat!
What?! He’d never thought of humans quite like that. Certainly they could be difficult but most humans were just living their lives. Living them in blissful ignorance of how they mistreated the natural world. He was an eco-activist now. He knew that to be truth. But the memories he was struggling to parse now said he was more than that. A warrior? A solitary fighter? An eco-terrorist according to the human lawkeepers.
He’d failed to notice a collection of Pokeballs at his waist, now. Dear friends and companions he’d made along the way to where he stood now. Replacements, in a sense, for Snagem. What happened there, he wasn’t sure yet, but he remembered, now, that they weren't part of his everyday anymore.

Tee looked around as others began to show change, rapidly age, being...split in two? "What in the-" He was cut off when sudden sharp razor-like pains raced all across his body. He held himself in agony, letting out muffled yells while trying to not thrash around from the pain he was enduring. The fur all across his body grew as the skin underneath fully darkened to the natural colors of an Absol. Three lines slowly started to emerge across his right eye as they resembled a rather severe wound.
Catching his breath from what felt like an eternity, the physical pain began to subside but tears ran down his face. Not from just the pain. The memories of who he would have been and what was around him than began to flood his mind. Memories played like old VHS tapes in his head showcasing his newfound abilities, various pokeballs on both sides of his belt, and a bracelet like device with a black orb inside was around his left wrist. He.flexed his left hand an arm trying to get used to the device. "If what I know now of this thing.....this should be interesting...." He.quietly said under his breath.

Nascour nodded quietly as he witnessed all the immediate effects the Chronos Stone had on the various Snagems, the man so far satisfied with what he was seeing and so sent the stone back into the ether or wherever he stored it. "Very good, the stone had the desired effect. As time goes by, minutes to hours, you'll notice more and more changes as your body continues to catch up to your destined future. More and more memories and knowledge will also trickle in. The initial appear to be the most dramatic." With that the man turned away from the Snagems and faced south towards the beach.
"Birth Island is to the south of here, just like it is in a proper world however this still is not such a world. The water you'll find you can walk on but it will not be our path for long. Eventually fragments of other localities from other worlds will bleed in, water becoming asphalt roads or even carpet. Remember that this place defies all logic, do not rely on such things. The only logic it appears to adhere to is your own, is if you truly believe something should work a certain way it will. Like how I told you the water you can walk on. Doubt that and you will sink into the void beyond this island." Nascour warned them, imploring them to believe the water is a solid. He knew good and well it would have been better to just not tell them they could doubt it but Nascour wasn't exactly completely looking out for their well being in the first place, if a Snagem sank he wouldn't blink.
"Like how the wielder of the Chronos Stone can will things to this place it can be commanded to behave certain ways. The wielder believes the water is a solid and so it will be so long as others do not doubt." He reiterated. "I theorize one with a powerful will could become a god over this place but who wishes to rule over a rotting world? That said this does concern me when we face the Elemental. Who knows what it could command this place to do, to be. Problems to confront later. Come." He said dismissively as he advanced towards the beach. He would not delay a second and continued his pace right onto the water, showing his words to be true as he walked onto the water, the liquid acting exactly as a slab of cement might, the others even able to hear Nascour's footsteps.
The Snagems and Nascour would walk down the ocean with nothing to really focus on besides the static-y horizon which always seemed out of reach no matter how far they walked. Their walk would last for what seemed like an hour with nothing changing, the island they left always behind them at the same distance. Was this some kind of trick? Was Nascour doing this? These and other questions would be dismissed however as Nascour suddenly stopped, holding his hand up to indicate they should stop. "Snagems, behind you." He said without turning around, pointing over his shoulder. Should they look around they would all see the island was gone and in its place was what looked like the rooftop of the Celedon Department Store if anyone was familiar with it, just three of the railings there as the water bled into the fourth side.
Nascour would follow the Snagems as they all walked towards the rooftop, stepping off the water and onto it. The man would look around with a sense of familiarity. "This one is fairly common." He began as he walked over to peer over one of the railings, seeing the static-y distance below. "To advance we'll have to go down and out the exit. Why? Because that's how it should work, right? To leave a building you go out the front door." He said in a matter-of-fact way as he began to walk towards the door which led to the building's stairwell, arms behind his back. "Too bad the elevator is always out of commission."
"Feeeaaar!" Screeched a flock of Fearow as they came swooping down suddenly from the sky above. Nascour would turn around with a bemused look on his face and shack his head. "Someone was thinking or birds, weren't they?" He sighed as the Fearow dive bombed the Snagems, ready for a fight. Nascour himself wouldn't attempt to defend himself and continued to make his way for the door however the other Snagems would have a rougher time.
(Fight off the endless Fearow and get inside the stair well and get down to the fifth floor.)
Once the Snagems made it past the Fearow they would find Nascour casually browsing the wares of the drugstore department, taking note at the section of accessories that were also there. "Hm, when did they start selling hats and bow ties for your Pokemon? And alongside vitamins? Peculiar. Oh well, drugs for your Pokemon anyone? That poster of a Pikachu sure looks like it enjoys its Carbos. No? Well then let's go." He motioned at the Snagems to keep following him as he made way for the next set of stairs. He was acting like this was way too normal.

Keiko followed the group (not the weird creepy dude at the front, the WHOLE group) wondering what else she was forgetting, or just now remembering as they walked. Nascour was right, though - it wasn't coming quickly any more. Just bits and pieces over time. Soon enough, she gave up thinking about that and just followed. Until she got bored. But that was shortly before she got told to look behind her.
The Celadon Department Store. It was a fun place to visit sometimes. See all the people coming to shop, eavesdrop on the odd conversation or two, help whoever she could, never spent a cent herself because she was always broke. It didn't help that she never got any jobs that took her there. Though, to be fair, the Carrie Delivery Service was small-time. Not the sort of org a multi-billion-Pokedollar company would rely on to move product for them. The place looked... well, that it had seen better days, what with one of its walls clipping into THE OCEAN. That they were all walking on. Yeah, not that crazy, given where they were. Disregarding that notion, she looked up to the ceiling, and thought it looked nice. Plain by human standards, but she was sure some Flying-type Pokemon would enjoy a perch like that. Maybe some Pidgeot. A Swellow family, perhaps? Or maybe even-
"Feeeaaar!"
Oh, crap.
"Someone was thinking or birds, weren't they?"
Oh craaaaaap!
Panicking, Keiko grabbed an object from one of her pockets and lobbed it. Wait, not her pocket. It was hanging off her be-
"MAUUUUUU~!"
...was that an Amaura? Wait, that was HER Amaura! It was Aura, the Pokemon she revived from a fossil! ...and then never used in battle because she was trying to focus on her own strength as a hybrid. Whoops. "Hey, I know you've never been in a fight before, but I kinda really need your help? Could you use an Ice or Rock move? It'd be a real help!" Keiko pleaded with Aura, who just gave her an annoyed look. "Oh, right, y-you need to know which one," Keiko realized aloud. It had been a while since she'd... huh. Didn't Lovrina take all of her Pokemon from her? How did... wait, no, that was month's ago, right? That doesn't make... no, no. Now isn't the time for this. Aura needed instruction. "Uhhhhhhhhh... Rock Throw?" Keiko asked more than ordered. She never checked what moves Aura could use before, and it wasn't exactly safe to hold her SNAG out to check its Pokedex feature.
Aura looked at Keiko, then to the quickly approaching Fearow, then back to Keiko with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah, I guess a single-target move isn't a good idea. Do you know any moves that can hit more than one Pokemon at a time?" Keiko asked. Aura looked up as if to think for a moment, then turned around and breathed out tiny ice particles that quickly expanded into Icy Wind, aimed right at the oncoming horde of hostile Pokemon. "Ooh, Icy Wind! That's great, thanks!" Keiko cheered. Aura tuned back to her trainer and smiled. It was only then that Keiko realized that it wasn't actually using Pokespeak. Did resurrecting it from a fossil mean that it was a newborn? Ooh, that thought made her feel worse. Making a Pokemon that had never fought before fight was bad enough. She was quick to hop off that train of thought as she realized the leader of the Flying-type pack was closing in on her baby Pokemon with Drill Peck. Not wanting to reward Aura's loyalty with sudden and immense pain, Keiko performed half of a front-flip, spread her legs open, and executed a Triple Axel above Aura, catching the lead Fearow in the beak and turning his head into an Iceblock. She then landed on her hands about six inches in front of an awestruck Amaura, who she promptly recalled back to her ball. "Sorry, but I really don't want you to get hurt," Keiko pleaded as she put Aura back on her... belt?
Oh great, her Pokeballs weren't where they were supposed to be on her belt. She had no way of knowing who was in what. Finding an empty spot in her belt, she attached Aura's ball, grabbed another one at random, and let it fly. The Sliggoo within cheered at its being allowed to taste fresh-ish air for the first time in a long while. Keiko couldn't help but facepalm once she realized which Pokemon she'd let out. "Ugh, not you!" she groaned, remembering immediately the time that Daedra had gotten into her wardrobe. How many times did she have to insist to this brat that clothes were NOT FOOD!? She heard a body it the 'ground' before she looked up and realized that particular Fearow had been Thunterbolt'd by a now rather grumpy Sliggoo. "Okay, I'm very sorry for saying that and would be really, really grateful if you would please keep doing that," Keiko said flatly, shocked and surprised by Daedra's show of power. (That's more like it,) she'd heard a voice say. As she tried to figure out where that came from, she saw Daedra smile, turn around, and Rock Tomb a Fearow to the ground. Oh, right, that was Daedra's voice. Keiko had been able to understand Pokespeak ever since she became a hybrid. How'd she forget she can do that?
She had about a second to ponder that before she felt a sharp pain on her forehead. Yup, that was a Fearow's beak. Daedra was getting it worse, with several Fearow pecking away at her. In frustration, the Sliggoo let out a Blizzard that surrounded it. This did a good job of clearing Fearows out of her immediate area, either by fainting or fleeing of the enemy, but it also hit Keiko. And herself. And unlike her trainer, she was WEAK to Ice. "Well, that didn't last long," Keiko huffed as she shook the ice out of her fur and recalled the now fainted Sliggo. "Thank you, though," she'd add before putting Daedra back on her belt. She then looked up, saw that there were still WAY too many Fearow to deal with. "Screw it," she sighed before getting on all fours and booking it, using Agility to boost her way out of the battlefiled and into the nearby massive shopping mall. This earned her a few beaks to the back, but she eventually got out of there. Thankfully, none of those beaks found her ears. Or her tail, for that matter.
Once inside the Department Store, Keiko dropped the energy her body was holding via Agility and gasped for air, working hard to regain her breath. "That was too close," she said as her breath calmed. She let Aura out and hugged the poor thing, and started regretting it right away as the Ice-type Pokemon was cold to the touch, surprising nobody in particular. "Man, it's a good thing I've got fur, now. I probably wouldn't be able to hug you at all, otherwise," she said. Though she was addressing her Amaura, she was mostly talking to herself. As the other Snagems piled in, she continued folloiwing them. She held Aura for a bit longer, recalling her as the cold from her body was starting to seep through her fur. The walk from there was pretty uneventful until Nascour spoke up. Vitamins? Weren't those worthless by his own admission? So not only was this guy weird and creepy, he was also kind of a jerk. Greeeaat.

There would have been more changes? But then, that probably would have meant also the more memories of things he could have had. While it would be nice to be confirmed that things would have gotten better, at the same time, the realization that it wouldn’t have because of whats transpiring before him now got him feeling quite awkward. Finding himself having a profound feeling of loss that he never realized possible. Events that both have yet and did happen for him that rattled in his mind. It was upsetting to say the least. Not crippling, at least as of yet, but bothersome. There was a future that was effectively taken from him that he both did and didn’t experience and he was of at two minds of it.
Tristen would recall his Dragonite then start to follow Nascour and the others off, still trying to make sense of everything before him. He stayed silent as the team trailed behind him. He didn’t really pay much attention to the fact that they were just walking over static or whatever it was that was supposed to be water. He just basically stared at his back like he was wanting to will an answer out of Nascour. Though, he wasn’t really sure what to ask either. He’d stop for a moment once Nascour spoke up, and he looked back, the building that they supposed to have left behind was now the Celadon Department Store, which got Tristen to stare at it in confusion for a moment. He’d continue walking until they made it to the rooftop. “Uh, mister, something is bothering me about this, how-“
Tristen would get cut off when the flock of Spearow came down. Tristen went wide-eyed at the whole massive squadron of them. When he looked back, Nascour was casually walking inside as if rain was ready to approach. “Really?” Tristen asked. As the birds started to get close, Tristen immediately lit up and fried a couple of the birds with his Thunderbolt attack. An attack that he ended up realizing he learned at one point or another, though with no ease at it, admittedly. Though he started to realize, this was untenable…then he remembered, he didn’t really have that kind of capacity to keep discharging such large amounts of electricity like that. He looked back down towards the side of him, the Pokeballs that he had. He grabbed one and gave it a toss, almost instinctively like he was being called to it. The ball popped open and out came a rather large and imposing Galvantula out ready for battle. Another friend he made, Tristen would realize. Or rather, would have made.
“Galvantula! Discharge!” Tristen shouted. The Galvantula would rush forward and start discharging all manner of electricity to dissuade and make the Fearow back off. The electrical onslaught frying some birds, others making them retreat back in a hurry, not wanting to get caught up in the likes of such power. “Guys, hurry, get in!” Tristen shouted. “Galvantula, lets go!” Tristen would hold the door open, trying to let everyone in, including his Pokémon. The boy would end up having to shock another Fearow who was trying to blindside him in particular as he tried to allow everyone through.
Galvantula would dive through the door and once everyone else was in, Tristen would be the last to go in and slam the door behind him. He’d back away from it then started his way down the stairs to the fifth floor where everyone else was at. “Someone really thought birds…which makes me wonder something.” Tristen then looked over towards Nascour. “You thought about the Psychic Elemental, didn’t you? That’s why you need help. That’s why your stone is running out of power; you brought it here on a gamble to save your own skin. Power like that would keep you going almost indefinitely should you get it contained in that stone.”

The water underfoot was squishy but solid, like walking on a waterbed. The two women, deeply familiar to each other yet also completely alien, walked side by side, trying to let their doubts about things not come to them.
"I've been under the Dome... This is nothin'," human Monique remarked to her traveling companion. "Took out King Faba. I can do this."
Zoroark Monique raised an eyebrow. "...You did what now?"
"Took out a tyrant."
"Good for you, girl," Zoroark Monique commented, glad to see someone had the courage to get rid of King Faba.
"So, what's this Snagem thing? Seems everyone else here is tied to it. You recognized someone?"
"Well... Sort of. They seem to be all... versions of my teammates. You see, in my world the Dome failed during an Ultra Beast invasion." Human Monique gasped. "We died to the Smog."
Human Monique shook her head. "The Dome is a looot to maintain. Learned that after taking over. It's been up 30 years now.... Or at least it was," she remarked, recalling Nascour's remark.
"And I got sent 49 years in the past, turned into a Zoroark hybrid and joined Snagem, because they took me in. Got to rescue Kasumi and Kaimana from other worlds, meet Tapu Fini..." A reverent nod of the head. "Try and keep my new world from needing a Dome." The Vulpix that had briefly been on Monique's shoulder chased after like a pet... Oh yeah, that's what Kiki was.
"Oh wow..." The mention of her sisters took Human Monique a bit by surprise. "Kasumi's doing a little better, but she's still a bit frail... You know how she is. Kaimana has been researching cleaning up the seas."
Chatting took their mind off the monotonous walk and helped the two of them understand each other a bit better.
***
As the two stepped onto the roof of the Celadon Department Store, human Monique could only marvel at seeing a piece of the past.
"Feeeear!" Birds included; after all, there weren't many places to fly in Flower City, and there wasn't much of an environment for flying birds in the rest of the Dome. It was time to fight.
"Frost Breath!" Vulpix could do something, but she wasn't a battler. Zoroark Monique reached into her bag and pulled out the one containing... her Lycanroc. She must have subconsciously been thinking type matchups. "Stone Edge! Let's go!" Sharp stones radiated from its ruff in hopes of striking some of the advancing Fearow from below.
Human Monique had a Pokémon out too now, though not one by type matchup. It was a Salazzle, but before she could call for a move, Tristen's Galvantula had taken care of the situation a bit differently. Of course an Electric specialist would be better equipped for this. The remaining Snagems and their Pokémon stampeded for the door to get off the roof and into the stairwell.
"Too bad we can't slide down a pole, girl..." Human Monique was just as flirty with her background as Zoroark Monique, if not moreso. Being a queen gives you confidence, I guess, she thought. The team fanned out on 5F as the wave of Snagems spread onto the salesfloor.

Crystal sighed before bringing out another Pokéball, bringing out one red and cream hound. “Mythnine,” she greeted, giving the Arcanine some pets and scratches around his ears and chest. “How do you feel about giving me a ride, buddy?”
“Nine?” The Arcanine looked around, then tilted his head and pointed a paw out towards the water. “Arra?”
“Yeah… I know, you shouldn’t be able to walk on it, but let’s try it. Put a paw on the water, then we’ll go from there.” The large hound would look at his trainer, then the water, then his trainer again before deciding to trust her and put a paw on the water. Finding it somehow solid, he nodded and lowered himself somewhat to allow Crystal to hop onto his back.
The pair would follow everyone else, with Crystal giving Nascour a stern look. The uneasy feeling wasn’t going away, if anything, it was getting stronger. And it wasn’t over anything the others changing, it was all about Nascour. Mythnine would pick up on his trainer’s unease and give a small shake of his neck as he walked, plodding along on this impossible water. “Arrrrr….”
“Yeah, Mythnine. None of this is right. And honestly… Even with everything, something has me on edge, buddy.” Crystal would pet him on his head while they traveled, her own thoughts drifting while they hiked along. Eventually, their escort would call out to them, turning around? And where they came from suddenly had the rooftop of one of the big department stores. Just attached to the ocean. Like you do.
“Arro?”
“Mythie… I think we just have to stop asking questions. There’s absolutely no logic at this point.” Shaking his head again, he’d follow the others, with Crystal scratching behind his nicked up ears. Once they arrived at the rooftop, she’d dismount the fire hound, with the catwoman patting the Arcanine’s side. Her eyes narrowed as Nascour spoke up again, only stopping when the Fearows attacked. “Oh, of course… This wasn’t going to be something as simple as just head over there and grow older in the process. Mythnine, standby. Celes, we need ya! Icy Wind!”
Out of a thrown Pokéball came a Starmie, a rather large one, who looked around the area when it was released. As soon as it comprehended what was going on, the double starfish would jump up and spin in place, creating a freezing wind that would slow the longbeaked birds in front of them. “Alright, Mythnine, you and Celes together now! Mythnine, send Celes into the air and Flamethrower! Celes, Rapid Spin!” The pair of Pokémon would nod, as if this was a practiced thing for them at this point. The Arcanine would grab the Starmie by one of its points and spin around a couple of times before throwing it into the air. As the Starmie began to spin faster and faster in the air, finding a trajectory that had the most amount of Fearow, Mythnine would let loose a steam of flame to engulf the Starmie, creating a flying fireball to crash into many of the birds in front of them.
While her Pokémon were doing that, Crystal kept her senses up and noticed some coming in behind her. With a snap of her fingers, a number of coins spawned in around her, quickly beginning to glow with a blue aura. With a motion of her index finger behind her, she would send them flying at the Fearow coming in behind her, turning on her paw pad behind her. If she was going to say anything, then the proverbial cat caught her tongue when she saw just how many more were coming in. “Oh. Well then. Right.”
When Tristen had the door open for them and enough of an opening, Crystal would take it, running into temporary safety while recalling Mythnine and Celes. Once everyone was in, she paused and listened to Tristen’s comments to Nascour. If that was true… After she supposedly got everyone out of here, what was going to happen then? What guarantee did she have that Nascour would even keep up his end of the bargain? And would she even be able to leave this place? Arceus, what had she gotten pulled into?

Reno got to see the mallet coming towards him in glorious, multi-spectrum HD thanks to the fancy fresh eyes he had just gained in the process of his new hybridization. And he had absolutely no idea of how to react to any of this. How the hell did she pull that thing out? Where had it come from? Why him? When the thing halted and normal proceedings began again, Reno would be stuck staring at where the bludgeon had been before letting an ear-bleeding scream like that mallet had been used to crush his foot in an old cartoon. After a few moments, the much smaller hybrid would stop as he attempted to gather what little of his wits he had left. Soon, he would doing his best to try and keep up with the even-paced walking the others were doing, having to almost be running full tilt to do so.
Man, at this size and speed, he was basically a fun buggy snack for any big birds.
Which is precisely when he heard the cry of a Fearow and the mention of someone thinking about birds. "Oh bloody hell. Why'd it 'ave ta be now!?" Reno called out, looking towards his bag where his Pokeballs were.
A bag that was now distinctly missing with his sudden change in form. And as he looked up, he could see he was already losing ground as the others began to throw together their own methods to fight off the Fearow swarm and taking off towards the stairs down into the building. "Oi! Don't forget about me!" Reno called out, attempting to reach one of his stubby hands out towards the Arcanine he could see already making for the door. And watching with awe as a web shot out of the wrist of his extended hand, anchoring itself to the Arcanine's flank. Reno wouldn't even have time to wonder before the string snapped taut, immediately dragging him behind the Arcanine like a kite as the speed of the Pokemon and his current light weight met physics.
Screaming once again as he was left at the mercy of physics, one lone Fearow would dare to come through the myriad of attacks and other deterrents from the other Snagems for the easy snack that was Reno. Changing pitch in his screaming, Reno would extend his free hand and another String Shot fired out of his wrist, slamming a mass of webbing that connected one of the Fearow's wings to its body in a way that it definitely was not supposed to. The sudden hitch in the flapping would send the large Pokemon swerving to the side around them as it could no longer steer well enough to keep on target for Reno,
His ride would end as the Arcanine was recalled, forcing Reno to quickly scramble past the much taller Tristen into the interior of the mall. Nearly falling down the stairs in his rush, Reno would find himself staring at Nascour's browsing with...what could be presumed to be an offended look on his new features. "What the 'ell? Not gonna 'elp us out when yer the one who wanted ta start this 'ole thing?" Reno said, attempting to force himself into the front of the group this time. He was not going to be left behind the next time a sudden rush started.
