And there was the moment she was more waiting for. Morgan had held mostly still, watching the attacks fly, and when the massive dog began to fling them back in various forms, that was the trigger that made her bolt forward. The closest to her happened to be a Mauvian boy (Liryn), her magic flaring brightly in her hand as she drew up a shield. Her timing wasn't perfect, far from, but she at least tried to block some of the strike off from him.
"Sorry, you alright?" She tossed the question over her shoulder, keeping herself facing the canine for the moment. The air in front of her hand shimmered and gleamed with its red light, shapes moving within as a vision of an unknown place peered through the 'gateway.' Morgan did cast him a quick look over her shoulder, though, unsure how bad the hit had been on him. Part of her was almost amused by the whole... dog versus cat thing, but she kept her mouth shut on that.

Quote:
The Sealed Gate
Focusing her magic, her left hand glows red. Thrusting that hand forward, a barrier forms about an inch beyond where her hand is, shimmering in the air and giving anyone whom looks through it a warped, almost otherworldly glimpse, where strange creatures seem to move about in physics that cannot exist by our world's standards.
The barrier itself is only as wide as her arm span and stands about six feet tall. While Morgan can move while channeling her barrier, and thus re-position the barrier, anyone who gets beyond the barrier can hit Morgan without issue. Morgan can only support the barrier for 30 seconds before it vanishes and her hand ceases its glow. She can only use this magic three times per day.

Character: Amoris, Page of the Moon HP: 40 - 11 = 29 HP Action: trying to slap the giant dog again
Amoris' breath hissed between his teeth, but he couldn't seem like he was in too much pain, or the other two would never let him hear the end of it. Holding himself normally made the pain worse, but he shoved it down. He'd deal with it for now. When the fight was over and they were all worse for wear, then he'd let himself look injured. Then, at least, he'd be able to tell them they weren't any better off than he was--
Of course, Emain Ablach's shield was making it really hard to actually hit the dog for any appreciable damage--
He didn't like the way the breath hissed from between Amoris' teeth, and a swear hissed from between his own. Emain Ablach shifted his stance, covering more of Amoris with his shield, wishing it wouldn't overbalance him in the process to kick out at the dog and knowing that, for him, the choice between the two actions was obvious. He did see Amoris try to lash out at the dog, and he thought about apologizing for being in the way, but the others would never forgive him if something happened to Amoris under his watch--

Character: x Odainsaker HP: 50 Action: Smacking Grim Damage: 4
The fact the dog was able to make the ground shake under her was crazy. She knew it was large but the fact it was dinosaur sized was lost on her until she basically shook the whole wonder under her feet.
The shaking did cause her to stumble a bit she she used her staff to steady herself. Suddenly she had an idea, one that Odain wasn't sure if it'd do any good or not. However, she figured she'd try to use her magic on it...
Tapping the ground and concentrating Odainsaker tried to send her attack at the grim.
Magic
When Odain channels her magic and sweeps her bo staff across the field it casts an illusion over the field covering a seven foot radius around her. The illusion shows those targets in the field their own personal utopia, an eternity of peace beneath the stars. The illusion gives them a safe warm feeling and causing their will to fight to lessen considerably. Odainsaker can channel the attack up to thirty seconds.

"Yeah not my dog..." He answered looking over to Metis.
"Also, unfortunately no idea what it wants or where it came from other than the ground shook and it came from that way."
He gave a nod over in the direction the Grim came from, where the trees had been uprooted.

Character: x Snowball HP: 60 Action: Trying to help Morgan shield Liryn as well Damage: ?
"Woahhh" Snowball hissed.
The dog wanted to throw attacks at someone and pick on a cat at that. "So rude, I'm glad the dogs back home don't do this s**t." He muttered thinking about how chill Merlin was.
This chaos grim could learn a thing or two from Merlin Snowball thought. That was the time that Snowball threw up a wall of snow in front of him and Liryn

Snow-walled! Snowball places his hands out in front of him and a wall of energy-snow forms to create a shield. The Shield can protect Snowball for about 10 seconds. The wall bursts into a spray of energy snow when hit and fades. Can be used twice.
Damage Dealt to the Grim: 56 Attack: tab- Hellfire The mastiff howls and large fireballs fall from the sky. If characters are hit by one or come in close contact with one they may feel a burning sensation like their body is overheating and way to close to a flame and extremely uncomfortable.
Notes: This round you can choose to use your roll to heal someone who was attacked or shield them if you would rather do that instead of attacking the creature. You can also enact Article of Resistance for a -1 to damage. Please include your preference in your actions!
***If your character was hit for damage last round they won't be hit this round. However, they can still feel the effects of the attack. --------------------
The Grim continued it's tantrum as it was fought. Clearly stomping wasn't doing it any good, as it swiped it's oversized paws at the annoyances surrounding it.
Suddenly the chaos creature let out a howl summoning fireballs from the sky. The fireballs fell like shooting stars striking the grounds around the crew. Several of the fighters weren't very lucky and got hit by the fireballs directly - Tempesti, La Brea, Ibirapitá, and Snowball all were not able to dodge the fireballs.
Bacchus, Amoris, Emain Ablach and Promethei, all managed to avoid being directly hit by damage again, but may have felt the fireball fly past them.

Character: La Brea HP: -3! 37 HP Action: Took a hit! Attacking!
That.
Hurt.
Fire rained from the sky as fireballs and something in La Brea's chest twioisted like some kind of knife, for a moment, a kind of unease reserved for nigfhtmares, and La Brea shifted his weight, wincing as a fireball launded too close; the heat itself felt like he was being scalded, or like he was in the presenvce of a fire pit and got too close. Skin turned painfully pionk, but he wasn't quite burned.
He felt buirned and snarled angrily.
La Brea glanced about a moment to check on the others agsin, then glowered coldly at the beast with narfrowed eyes, bristling as he remained low, and with a surprising burst of speed La Brea tried something other than kicking. The page launched himself at top speed, sprinting before launching himself airborn top throw himself at the Grim. bringing his elbow up to drive it in and try to catch it off it's gamne.,
He was, even he admitted to himself, probsably going to hurt himself.
So Tempesti hadn’t expected a giant mastiff to be able to summon balls of flame from the sky. Could happen to anyone, right? Still, she wasn’t quite thrilled to be on fire and quickly summoned a metal water bottle from her subspace, doing her best to douse the blaze crawling up her fuku and thanking whatever powers that be for the fact that it would be intact the next time she powered up. She knew that Bacchus’ frantic slapping at the flames was well-meaning, but it wasn’t exactly helpful. Still, she appreciated the sentiment as she aimed a kick at the Grim. It would probably be just as effective as her less than spectacular punch, but wind would just fan the flames and she was not eager to make them any larger.

Character: Sailor Bacchus HP: 45 Action: Hitting the Grim Damage: 5 + Article of Strength = 6
Hmph. It seemed that the giant furball didn’t like to have a good time.
Ah well, its loss.
Not his problem.
What was his problem was the fact that it wanted to make a snack of him. As much as he could appreciate its good taste, he couldn’t help but object to its choice in appetizer. Maybe it would be a better sport this time around.
“Gleeful Bacchanal!”
Shining mist and music arose around him, at least he could enjoy the experience.
Bacchus grimaced as fire rained down from above. This was absolute barkshit. Why in the <********> was a dog doing that? Was nothing about these humans and their places normal?
“Ah s**t.”
The smoke that curled its way upward stung his eyes, forcing him to blink furiously as they watered, chest tight at the conflagration that surrounded them.
“Ah s**t.”
The senshi couldn’t manage much more than that as he began furiously batting at the flames on Tempesti’s fuku before aiming a kick at the back of the thing’s ankle.
Thoughts of remaining carefully upright left Amoris as the fireballs began raining from the sky. Instead, he dropped to a crouch behind Emain Ablach's shield just in time for one to go sizzling past where he'd been standing. It was enough to make some of the hair on his head crisp and crinkle. Reflexively, he looked for Promethei to make sure Promethei also hadn't gotten hit by the fireballs.
Glancing down at his astrolabe, Amoris wondered if it'd be big enough to shelter him on a run to try and do some more damage--
As soon as the fireballs started, retorting to Promethei's quip about hellhounds left Emain Ablach. Instead, he shot, "hellfire? That's a bit Old Testament, isn't it?" at him as Amoris dove under Emain Ablach's shield. It was less than a heartbeat later that Emain Ablach joined Amoris, hoisting the shield to cover them both. Regrettably, Emain Ablach wasn't sure he could fit Promethei under there with them. That didn't mean he wasn't prepared to try, however.
Character: Promethei, Knight of Mercury HP: 40 Action: Walking backward to hit the hellhound while keeping both Amoris and Emain Ablach behind him Damage: ... 1. Walking backward did not work well evidently
As fireballs started flying by them in the aftermath of the world-shaking, Promethei found himself muttering, "¿Qué sigue, un dragón?" He would be annoyed that singed his beard, but honestly, unless this thing took them all out it would be back in a few hours anyway.
Which he didn't plan on letting it do, anyway-
"Old Testament? ¿De veras?" Promethei started backing up as Emain Ablach implied he should follow along. Swinging and walking backward was apparently not his forte- "Guess this could be Exodus. You can keep the ******** hellfire, I'll take the parted seas!"
That burned, in the slightest, and not in a way he could have appreciated. It left him in the unfortunate conundrum in which he would likely have to try and take action. Was there debris nearby? He was not the best fighter, and he knew this; he hadn't even been when he was at his full strength.
The land shaking earlier freed up enough for him to give that a shot.
