Aaron Shusona Someone was awfully popular today! Even without wearing a flashy outfit it seemed that the male still stood out. That’s what you get when you’re born with ashen-colored hair. Looking at the crowd there would certainly be the sea of brunettes, ravens, blonde and specks of ginger. With two males that weren’t part of that color scheme, it could definitely turn some heads. It wasn’t too much of a stress to think that they were cosplaying. Then again, sometimes one’s abilities did have an influence on the individual’s physical traits. Heck they even lived in a world were plenty of non-humans lived! Humans were such a boring race save for their abilities. Creatures of the dark, light entities, minxes, dragons; anything that were heard from fairytales were far more interesting. Cities still existed where one race would dominate the other though. Cities or towns that consisted of one particular race weren’t unheard of. At least this metropolis had its arms wide open to the diversity this world had to offer.
All this silver raven could give to the two strangers was an entertainer’s smile and a nod. It seemed that the couple were more interested in partaking the Festival than conversation. Well, this Shusona certainly wasn’t going to deter them from their path. The man was an entertainer but that did not imply that they would rudely interrupt a tender moment between two souls. Thus their steel blues wandered back to the Apothecary. It truly was a delight to see their actions. With Aaron’s expression coming down from a grand smile to a soft one, he watched the other’s reaction. From the way some odd sounds were coming out of the good doctor’s mouth, the male could have sworn that they were choking. It never lasted long enough for the magician to take any action. Distance was created between the two while the white-haired individual attempted to handle the food that was stuck in their throat. ’You’d almost think that I was the one that caused this…. Naaaa~ He doesn’t have to react like that. I just think he was too engrossed in his food and didn’t chew properly.’ The thought amused them as a small chuckle left that simple smile.
It was noted that someone’s amber gaze was captivated with Aaron. Well, perhaps it was more appropriate to say that they were more focused on the male’s change in appearance. It was true that the Shusona no longer wore their flashy attire. The overall outfit was fairly simple and easy to walk around with. Most importantly, it was meant to blend in with the other dim colors in the crowd. The gray locks already gave the silver raven away, so blending in was difficult. At least there was an attempt to diminish their overall presence. Had his companion been captivated by Aaron’s boorish appearance? ’I can’t give myself too much credit. I know I’m good looking but I have to remember Princess Elsa’s words.’ Indeed, the love at first sight notion returned! Why choose this particular Disney Princess? How about you get creative and figure it out for yourself.
With a partially eaten corn dog thrusted into their chest, it was exchanged for the lone meal on the male’s tray. The offer did stand but he didn’t picture the events that had took place. Aaron merely thought that Liev would have grown flustered and run away at the mere sight of a familiar face. Maybe even meekly trade their dogs. To see the doctor take the initiative was unexpected, not that it was a bad thing. There may have been more to the good man than just someone who possessed a special card and an astute business acumen. So what did the Shusona do? Well it wasn’t like they were going to dump someone’s gift, if it could be called that. ”Wow, our first indirect kiss! I’ll be sure to cherish the moment.” It was clear from their tone that it was a tease. Pearly white devoured the snack in a few bites. The entertainer could not copy the other’s orgasmic eating habits, it probably would have been too much for Mr. Hastings. The comment would suffice as their chili dog was devoured by their companion’s mouth. ’You’d have thought that this guy hadn’t eaten in a while. At least a healthy appetite isn’t a bad one.’ Aaron’s devoured dog stick was thrown into the nearest trash bin.
At the mention of past belongings being present in the other’s habitat, that elicited a cocked head. ’Stuff……..stuff…...….stuff….…...oh!’ It took a moment but they finally realized what his companion meant. ”OH! I don’t think the duo will cause you much trouble.” By “duo” there was a subtle hint that they were referring to Pen and Paper. ”The rose is a parting gift from me to you. You don’t even have to water it. If you decide to use it for one of your wonderful concoctions, well I’m not sure what will happen. I’ve never dabbled in that art form before.” Quite! This silver-raven had never tampered with making magical potions like most magicians and witches had done on the big screen. It looked like a lot of trial and error, especially without an instructor. Who knows what kind of vile brew could be formed without completely understanding the fundamentals. ”I think all that’s left is...…is.....the hat!” Fingers snapped at the realization. ”I hope it isn’t taking too much space in your shop. You can hold onto it before I come around to pick it up. Who knows, maybe you can wear it and entertain your customers with it.” Aaron had no means of knowing that the other had already worn the accessory. It was just some humor that the magician decided to throw out to their companion.
For a moment it looked like the snow-haired individual had let down their walls after they consumed their meal. It would have been nice if that attitude had stayed before Aaron was being accused of stalking. ”You’re pretty funny.” That was his response before the other decided to depart to see the festival's games. ’Well now what to do? There is still some time left but I’m still hungry. Hmmmm...I’m not playing host right now but I’m sure...yeah...I guess...’ While playing with some scenarios in his big head, Aaron departed for the chili dog stand once more. Keeping a loose eye on the other’s whereabouts, the male had his arms crossed while waiting for the line to be eaten up. The day was becoming a bit like an anime, at least in terms of running into an familiar face. What more could happen today? Hopefully nothing bad, that would leave an awful taste for the festivities. There was still some business to conduct on his end. So much had yet to be seen and experienced from this yearly event. Despite the thrill of spending time with the Apothecary, this Shusona wasn’t all fun and games even if their front said otherwise.
With four corn dogs within his hands, Aaron’s orbs searched the area for the pearly-haired companion. The Festival was going all out as more and more individuals wormed their way into the crowd. It took a bit of time on their end but they finally found the good doctor. Taking only a single chili dog for himself, the rest was given to their companion. ”Enjoy the festivities my good doctor~ Your patients needs to run off to finish a few errands. I hope that you’ll forgive me. I know parting can be such sweet sorrow, but know that I will return to your side as soon as I can~” Giving a small wave towards the innocent elder, they strolled away from the other while continuing to wave. The smile that was on his face slipped away when he couldn’t spot the other anymore. Their hand went back to his side and steel blue eyes wandered the area. ’Now, who is willing to give me some answers~’

The day’s never changed… Everything was absolutely pointless and redundant. Watching ants scurry about with aimless goals and no ambition was simply a pass time. Even though the seasons changed, the ants were always the same. Just what was the point of such pointless beings and their lives? The question was posed by one whom was silently observing all the “ants” scurrying about, enjoying such meaningless things as carnival rides and candy apples. Watching the ignorant animals disguised as citizens happily denying the looming reality that bore down on them. A large and imposing man could be seen, if searched for quite intently, standing atop the structure of the festival’s Ferris wheel. They folded their arms in an disinterested fashion. Why were such fools finding joy in asinine entertainment? It was distasteful to watch families and their loved ones frolic about as if there was nothing more important. ”Fools… All of them, nothing more than puppets being stringed along by their puppet masters.” Ice cold words mumbled out from the frostbitten giant. Their voice carried a slightly sophisticated tone while being deep and slightly raspy. To Austin, such fools were merely chess pieces that could be lazily tossed about at their discretion.
One would wonder why someone such as he would find even an ounce of interest in such beings. Though if the knowledge of his profession were to be known then it would make sense why the indifferent being was observing from afar. Someone had to keep the bustling ants in check after all. It seemed that, to an extent, Austin was assigned with such a role some time ago. Though it was a role that they loathed with every fiber of their being. Time is the greatest mender of all things they say, perhaps his loathing had become dulled to mere disinterest due to so much time passing. Austin did create his own entertainment though, after all what fun would managing a city be if he could not do as he so pleases. The thought of the ones that had quietly disappeared rushed forward to the front of his mind and a small smirk appeared on their lips. Naive and innocent fools that wandered the streets all alone. In the frosty eyes of the male, they got what was coming to them. ”Though I do have to thank these fools… If not for their never-ending stupidity and ignorance, I would not get to enjoy myself.” To say that such a being looked down on everyone else was a severe understatement. Perhaps they were conceited, perhaps he simply knew the limits of his power and could not imagine any of the imbeciles below causing even a sweat on their brow.
The uncaring males permafrost gaze stretched across the festival before wrapping in to the city behind him. There truly was quite a good amount of newcomers to the lovely city. Perhaps all of the organizations advertising finally paid off. Yet it was still not enough to satisfy their morally obscure ambitions. Although a few individuals stuck out from the crowd, nothing and no one seemed to be interesting enough to catch Austin’s attention. After all, would someone take time to speak with maggots? Such an act would be degrading and insulting to such a man. The blonde was no fool and knew that doing such acts would only hurt his reputation. Reputation was everything to such a man, especially when others of similar stature were scurrying about his city. The last thing they wanted was to have such individuals mock his work ethic. The chilling male scoffed to himself as they shrugged off such annoying thoughts, there was no point in pondering what other thought just because they were not maggots. Those individuals were simply slightly bigger and more disgusting bugs in their sharp eyes.
The background noise of festival music and the low murmur of chatter filling the air was the only thing to break the silence from so far above. Austin casually reached into his deep pockets before acquiring a communicative device from its depths. They slowly flicked their thumb across the screen to turn the device on before pressing the speed dial in his contacts. Impatiently waiting as the device rang, the male sucked his teeth in annoyance. Finally, the one being contacted answered their damned phone.
”Ah Ah Ah… ahem. Hey Hey HEY! I’m trying to do my job here bossman! Having you breath down my neck is Not. My. Style! If you want the people to have a gooooood time then let me work my MAGIC~! I’m a one-man show BABY~ So back off!” It truly was an ironic slap in the face that someone of such stature would have to stoop so low as to manage lackeys such as this one. Although the eccentric being managed to do their job, they always did it in such a way that irked Austin to no end. Was the hyper-active being trying to get under such a man's skin? If that were the case, then he would simple be begging for death. Unfortunately, no one did the job quite like that freak of nature. Austin was forced to let the beings antics slide once again due to such circumstances.
Words could not be more detestable and agitating to such a man. A gravel like sigh could be heard from them as he waited for the eccentric man to finish speaking. ”If I wanted to do such things why would I keep you around in the first place… Fool. I’m calling to request the list of attendees once everything passes. The more information you can acquire on each the better. I expect not to be disappointed.” The request was brought out in a cold and expectant manner. Of course, they would not take no for an answer. Without waiting to hear the colorful man’s reply, the frosty giant promptly hung up the phone and put the device back in their pocket. They would be able to organize and properly use such information to their benefit once said list was acquired. It was always beneficial to have leverage for emergencies, not that they thought such an emergency would arise. And who knew, perhaps there were those that could be easily abducted like the others that would vanish in the dead of night. Though Austin would only be able to quell his curiosity once the list was placed in his hands. Until then, all they could do was observe the festivities as they unfolded.
Their sleet gaze searched through the maggots in an attempt to find those bigger bugs meandering about. They needed to play their parts perfectly else they cause a mess that he would have to clean up at a later date. Stupidity would not be tolerated by the male, though he did not expect the organization to send idiots when they knew the man's personality. If the higher-ups were idiotic enough to do so, they would receive said individuals back in pieces. They were most definitely not one to be taken lightly, underestimating the likes of such a man was suicidal, to say the least.
Who in their right mind would let a mischievous little cat out of the bag? Perhaps there were folks who had a few screws loose in their head to allow this crow-haired man to walk freely in the city. Goldenrod iris swayed towards the glitz and glam that came once every Fall. The festivities that enchanted the many souls of the city had many parallels towards a light attracting insects to it. Oh, but this lean and built man would not call people insects. The human race had a far more charming light in their eyes. Bugs usually had a short lifetime and were usually glanced at with disdain. Rolan couldn’t quite see people in that fashion. While plenty of people were distracted by the entertainment the city provided, a young man was musing over the plenty of toys this metropolis encased. Toys that walked on two, four or whatever amount of legs they were born with, if they spoke human speech or not did little to dampen his mood. All that was required to entertain this hyena of a man, was whether people would provide a bountiful expression or reaction. These countenances could range from joy, anger, sadness and what have you. The real delights came from the abstracts that couldn’t be seen. Pain, hollowness, memories; everything that the human race couldn’t quite grasp. That’s right! Humans had the absolute honor to entertain this male who was nearing well into their thirties. What a time to be alive! Oh, how he thanked the Lord above for the plentiful harvest that his own species provided. A Shusona’s life would have been quite dull if they couldn’t find some form of entertainment in their lives. Well, this was an urban location so there would be plenty of gizmos to play with. Even now, those gold iris were watching the couples that strayed away from the lights of the city. A single glance was all it took to see that these groups were drunk on this concept of “love”. Lips slithered to the edges of his face as he trailed behind a particularly drunken pair. Their giggles, smooches, and overall PDA was enough to show where their night was going. One could surely paint the picture of a stereotypical duo who was ready to make that physical connection. This couple were getting handsy with one another while in their intoxicated state. When the moment their impatience would reach its height, their intimacy would become more physical than what was defined by mere PDA. The rain didn’t cool down the heated moment the couple exchanged in short but repetitive intervals. ”Excuse me, are you not cold?” Growing startled by someone’s question, the two hurriedly separated themselves from each other and looked in Rolan’s direction. Maybe they had been so engrossed in their intimacy that they were unaware of the rain soaking up their body. “Ah, I guess I read that it was going to rain a bit. Now that you mention it, it is a bit chilly.” The male counterpart held out his hand towards the droplets that fell from the sky. Their gaze sauntered toward the dark-haired man. ”See?! Why don’t we run off now and stop bothering the poor man! Sorry~ We will go along now~ The woman said with a slight tease in her voice while giving her partner an affection elbow in the ribs. While the two conversed, the corners of Rolan’s lips curved upwards further. ”Now, now~ Don’t argue with each other. I know, why don’t you trust me a bit and invite me over. I’m sure you have plenty the two of you want to talk about..” Just like that it was as if a switch had been flipped in the couple. The lovey-dovey atmosphere that took place within them quickly turned sour. Separating from each other, the woman latched onto Rolan while puffing her cheeks. ”He’s absolutely right! Ever since the Festival you’ve been having your hands on me! Don’t you know anything about personal space?!” The woman yelled out towards the male while the other began to lead the group of three. The male counterpart seemed to simmer as he walked, a sight that was well seen by the other two. ”What the hell are you talking about? You acted as if you liked it! Grinding on me like there was no tomorrow, how else am I supposed to take that?!” Bickering continued with the couple as Rolan didn’t utter another word. The only thing this cunning fox did was smile and follow the couple’s lead. He hardly had to lift a finger while walking along this rainy night. The bickering continued on between the two. Along the way their voices had grown, attracting attention from some nearby folks. The raven-haired male just waved away these people as if to ease their worries. Eventually, the three reached the male couple’s residence. With the door unlocked the three trailed in with someone grinning from ear-to-ear. The umbrella was closed behind the lean individual with the door behind closing with a click. An Hour Later Raven-haired left the apartment where a couple’s rage was reaching new peaks. A vase was smashed against the wall while the two continued to argue with one another. ”I hope the two of you can settle your differences. Remember, if you need to express your anger think about doing it to yourself than to the other. Goodnight you two, sleep well~” The two individuals who had been so absorbed in their yelling stopped like puppets. The woman’s eyes looked towards the kitchen while the male glanced at some extension cords. Like mummies, the two seemed transfixed as they slowly made their way towards their intended target. Rolan closed the door and left the scene. With a hand over his mouth, the male hid the devilish smile that wouldn’t quite leave his mouth. ’Oh what fun it is to be me~’ It was a mix of uncertainty and of pressure upon his dome, to be sitting there with nothing but a warm cup of tea. The eyes of a well versed man observed the passage of humanity through seconds of evolution, their steps careless while enjoying the festivities brought out by the strangest of hosts. Secret, unknown. Qualities that he himself shared along with the organization. The past was one shrouded in the deepest of mysteries, and the worries carried by it faded with each sip taken from that warm tea, freshly brewed. Long dark hair swayed with the gentle breeze as the tall male figure remained on the ground beneath a tree’s comforting shadow, hips on the earthly surface as well as the form of his leg and elbow, the hand at the end of that arm holding in place a face so attractive it was known for leading others on with nothing but a common gaze. In the mind of that relaxed man, the reflections of what they had planned rushed from thought to thought, the vast nature of their realm almost as complex as the size of his own dimension, almost packing a world of its own with the amount of things Oku had stored within year after year. From homes to vehicles to animals to corpses, it was a random taste of his to collect things only to see the effects his own dimension would have upon them. In any case, the time to ponder on anything beyond their reason to be there was nonexistent, to say the very least.
During the observation, waiting for a signal to get himself moving despite rusty gears inside, the philosopher took a prohibited moment to actually consider what his ‘partners’ could be doing in the period Oku rested and enjoyed the softest and warmest of drinks. Their nature was far more nefarious and somber than his own, each death made by that interdimensional hand had an actual reason behind it, a motivation made right by several arguments instead of merely experimenting, or because he found the human existence to be comparable to a bug’s life. Of course, the views of Oku were not as innocent as that might portray them to be. In the grand scheme of things, aware of space itself as the enlightened one was, the mere presence of a soul was many times smaller than the tiniest speck of dust. So, while not enjoying bloodshed and games as much as the others of his circle, the regret for taking a life couldn’t possibly attach itself to that man’s conscience, fortunately so considering the acts committed previously. The most joy this one took out of the powers achieved was to travel and explore the boundaries of all things within his immense reach, not a single spot in the world beyond the limits of his dimension, of his skill. It was due to that, after all, that the long haired individual was able to obtain a respectable position among the ranks of the so sacred group and became vital to most of the operations conducted, mobility the main word to describe, effectiveness the second, swift the third. After them, only gruesome terms could possibly be used. It was quite humorous to believe that such an entity of universal connection stood merely a few steps away from the weakest of life forms, the most frail and ignorant, ready to wipe out the majority at the cost of a possible sweat drop.
Deciding to freshen up, the old fashion looking male slowly straightened his form and sat up, cracking bones along the process with spine chilling sounds and an overwhelming sensation of physical relief. Legs crossing over one another, as the tea cup was maintained horizontal no matter the change, the biggest action taking after completion would be to rest a palm on the knee and use the other hand to bring the drink up to wise lips. Sighing, mostly to himself, Oku continued to watch the humanity’s entertainment at the local event and questioned lightly the effects one kill could have among the other souls wandering about, and where would they attempt to run to. Would they hide? Run aimlessly? Contact whatever body seemed like an authority to pass over the burden of trying to do something about it all? Another sip was enjoyed as the orbs kept a firm stare. “If the truth of what they could obtain and learn was spread, I wonder what the people would do… Honestly, I dread a day like that, maybe the existence of ‘bad people’, who kill for the hell of it, is nothing more than a universal measure to keep a true evil in control. Yet, there’s still a few things to think of…” Sincerely lost in a deep state of relaxation, with hints of boredom not discovered at that point by the speaker himself, the mind muttered random ideas and the mouth gave them verbal structure, syllables and syllables composing confusing phrases that were only halted by a marvelous tea that, little by little, reached the ends of its contents, and dipped Oku deeper into a complexion of momentary unsatisfaction, not wanting to go around in search of different substances.
It was with the finish of his precious tea that the ramblings would stop, and the portal creator would frown lightly, in a sort of well humored way, too lazy to have the will to go looking for something else to drink, as said before. So, finding nothing else useful to do, the perfect situation to go and know the location came about. Oku left the tea cup aside, neatly placing it on the grass before carefully getting up to his feet, protected by humble sandals and only them. Stretching long and toned limbs up to the heavens before yawning the very excessive tiredness off of him, this existence decided to take steps forward with simultaneous lip smacks, complexion of a sleepy and gentle figure splattered across his face. Wearing a long, dark blue and smooth robe, the lengthy hair was a bonus to the whole majestic aesthetic, made graceful by exposed pale hands with pink tips, detailed to the very bone and long, imposing. It was perhaps a difficult decision to actually mix his presence with the regular public of that festival, but the hardest choices required the strongest of wills. Snapping his finger a few times to help focus on what to do, the tempo of it allowed the tired looking eyes to identify the presence of a food stand out on the far back. Almost like an immediate response, the stomach growled furiously beneath layers of fortified muscles, as slim as they were still. Given that his existence at that very place had a reason, a mission that would take its bodily toll, Oku found no trouble in going after the exposed snacks and their enchanting essence, filling the air for the hungry and the curious.
Swaying at each step taken, albeit lightly, the dimensional powerhouse directed itself to the food booths with a smile, the overwhelming aura around alerting people to his every movement, but in a good way. The women would give impressed looks, and the males were filled with jealousy at the effortless gain, despite some exhibiting the very same gaze as their opposite gender. Perhaps the appeal of something beyond the human standard called out to the inferior, to the more ignorant, and the interest of Oku for all within the spectrum had a likely impact over that. It was a pity that with all of that happening around, the focus was totally in the consumables, and of course, on the unmistakable atmosphere gripping at his back from sensing the ‘partners’, potent as they were in their respected areas of expertise, and of sheer raw power. Seeing them only a step above the general dust humanity was, the realm traveler could not truly give a flying or swimming one for their thoughts on whatever was decided to do before their moment to reveal, so the minor curiosity to see the reality of him through another’s view was the only thing that was able to just live within that endless mind for more than a second. There was also a fact none could discard, that the spacial commander was clearly ready to indulge in the food, but more so in starting the action at the drop of a hat. The fate of those all around, laughing and smiling, in complete jeopardy, ignorant to the plethora of fatalities waiting to surface.
