Jack rolled his eyes. "I don't hate you." He laced his fingers with her, flying them slowly from above the island, as to have no safe ground beneath to fall on. "This is great too, if you ever get attacked you can just fly away." Manami was a short girl, she wouldn't have to fly too high. "Now try and stay calm, I'm going to glide us around and hopefully you'll stop being scared once you see you're in control of your flight..." He started moving them very slowly, almost a snail's pace, not wanting to traumatize her on their first flight with a barrel roll. "I'm almost certain the sudden bad weather is you. It does seem to rain a lot when you're sad." The day he left Manami alone with Nora it rained very hard throughout the whole night. "Not to startle you too, once the potion wears off I will not only be a man in a dress, but stunned for a few seconds. You might have to help me not plummet to my death."

Nora Lindsly Nora held his hand and began to feel a bit more relaxed as they floated around. She seemed to be starting to get the hang of it, she just had to think of where she wanted to go and she started going that direction. She looked up at the rain clouds and frowned slightly. It did seem to rain a lot when she was sad, and it did seem to hail when she was very mad and other such things. "Oh...well..I guess thats kind of cool..I guess. Not very useful." It just meant people would be able to tell when she was upset. She looked over at him panicked. "W-what?! No! I-I don't know if I can do that-J-just take us down right now! Please I don't want to be responsible for your death!" she said tears coming back and the wind blowing very hard.

"Think you're underestimating weather powers Nora, you might be able to summon lightning, or make twisters." He wasn't sure the extent of her power, but the wind made it difficult to maintain flight, having to flap his wings harder to stay afloat. Jack frowned, "Oh you'll do fine." He said showing confidence in her, though Nora didn't seem confident in herself at all. "Alright, we'll head back over the island just in case OK--" He started saying as he lead them almost back over the island, before his body was covered in a pink smoke cloud and an almost comical 'poof' sound. Jack was right about two things; he was now a man in a dress, and was falling rapidly.

Nora Lindsly Nora frowned slightly, she didn't think she'd be able to do that. She was pretty sure the extent of her weather powers was it got rainy when she was sad. Which was in her opinion very useless. When the magical 'poof' noise happened she looked over in surprise which quickly turned to fear as he began falling rapidly. She was still holding on to his hand so she was going down as well. The air was going into her mouth too quickly that she couldn't even scream. She held onto the man with both hands and somehow tried to turn up, but he was too heavy. They were going straight down, suddenly a large gust of wind pushed them towards the island. She managed to remain in the air until they were about 5ft above the ground then she could no longer do it and they crashed to the floor of the clearing.

Jack had faked the whole thing, a potion couldn't stun him. Not with how many he took on regular basis, most side effects went completely unnoticed at this point in his life. He had hoped Nora's survival instinct would take over and save them. It worked, as he fell hard on the ground. The very least, Nora's fall was broken by his back. "Augh!" He let out in pain. Jack pulled himself to his knees and hugged Nora. "You saved my life Nora, I owe you one." He lied to her, knowing he now had a lie he had to keep for the rest of their lives.

Nora Lindsly  Noras breathing was heavy and shaky. Her heart was racing and tears were in her eyes. She sniffled weakly and leaned her head against his chest. Slowly she wrapped her arms around him and smiled slightly. All her life she had thought she had no powers, born powerless in a world where almost everyone had at least some form of magic, even her dad although it was rather unhelpful unless you were chucking snowballs at random passerbyers and cheating in snowball fights with his daughter. "T-thank you." she said weakly.

Jack held her back, feeling a warm nauseating feeling in his stomach. with a bit of guilt for shortening her lifespan with that stress. It seemed to have worked though, she could save someone from falling to death even if only for a moment so far. "No problem Nora." He said, patting her head before standing up from the ground, and helped her up. "If you don't mind, I'm going to go change real fast." He said, looking down at the man in the dress that was him. He headed into his keep, and changed into something more comfortable, before coming back outside. "If you're feeling up for it, we can try that again. This time I assure you I won't fall, we'll just glide above town until you're comfortable."

Nora Lindsly Nora let out a laugh noticing that dress's buttons had popped off and was much too small for him now. As he was away changing she took a deep breath and let it out. She was overwhelmed with quite a lot of emotions. She was very happy with actually having powers, she was sure Alice and her dad would probably be very happy for her. But she was also a bit confused as to why she had felt the way she had when he hugged her. He was her only friend and maybe that was just how friends felt when they hugged. When he came back out she chewed her lips nervously as she thought about it. "I uhm...yes I think I might be up for it." she said nervously, but was also a bit excited about it. Finding out she had powers pretty much changed her whole life. She realized she could easily get away from Manami now rather easily as long as she could figure out how to control it and the only way she could do that was with practice.

Jack's wings swung , raising him from the ground. He extended out his hand to her, "If you would feel more comfortable holding my hand we can at first, until you're more confident on your own." He said with a light smile. Feeling that Nora was ready to fly on her own, but part of him wanted to continue feeling her touch against his.

Nora Lindsly Nora smiled slightly and reached out and took his hand blushing a bit, the strange fluttering feeling in her stomach returned. "Y-yeah that sounds like a good idea." She concentrated on flying and rose unsteadily into the air. She took a deep breath and gave his hand a rather nervous squeeze. "I think I can do this..." she said with uncertainty.

"You'll do great." He smiled at her toothily, before taking them off a bit higher. Jack didn't want to scare her, so he glided them gently around the area. Telling her when she felt ready they could go further, or to move faster. He tried his best to keep his wings further back than usual as to not smack her with them, often times he kept them well hidden and strapped down, but extended they were twice his length and went well past Nora.

Nora Lindsly Nora was trying to keep her breath steady as they slowly glided over the town. It was very beautiful, but having being scared of heights most of her life she was trying to fight off the fear. She squeezed his had tightly every time they moved a little too fast or when she comprehended how high she was. She had to squeeze her eyes shut and breath deeply when it became too much for her. It was a bit hard to talk up here with the wind, but she was finding that she was enjoying herself.

Jack tried saying something, but the wind made it impossible to be heard. He wasn't sure why he always tried to while in flight. He did point down to the city, at Philip's shop, then next to it at construction, then at himself with a nod. She would get the hint. While they glided around, he made sure to keep his eyes open for Manami, but knew the girl would be in disguise to look like a common person, he did teach her how to be a rogue well.

Nora Lindsly Nora looked down as what she regnoized at her dads shop and the new construction. She gave Jack a frown and shook her head in. Sure her dad had bullied him once when he was a kid, but he was holding on to it for a really long time. Her dad did give pretty funny reactions when upset though so she sort of guessed she could see why he kept it up for so long.She was starting to enjoy herself but was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed. So she pointed at a floating island hoping he'd get that she wanted to stop for a while

Jack nodded, flying them over to the floating island. He was starting to feel a bit bad, knowing that he was messing with Nora's dad. At first he didn't care, but the more Nora started to grow on him, the less he wanted to harass her only parent. He landed softly on an island with a small pond. //Exit
