I'm not unhappy. (Although I am sorry you accidentally wrote over another file. That sucks.)
AND 'cause I forgot to answer before: I use Pixlr to recolor. It's a free Photoshop look-a-like. You don't need an account or anything. I usually blow up the images all the way and recolor pixel by pixel. Unless it's a large, clearly defined area where the colors aren't so similar that they overlap... then I use the bucket tool. It takes longer but the clean lines of the final product is worth it.

My turn~! Here is my lovely Steel Rose Pumperilla! Whenever I think of apocalyptic things, I think of how greenery basically becomes nonexistant (at the start at least) and how everything becomes all metallic. I also have my own headcanon of sorts that in a post-apocalyptic world to make up for the lack of flowers and plant life people make em outta metal so they still have something pretty to look at. So a steel rose can be just as pretty as a real one, or so they say?
Finally responding. Metal makes sense, though! And I'll be honest: I love the fake wooden and metal roses as much as the real ones. They don't smell as nice but they're usually just as pretty.

as a recolour....like actually recolour the kin sprite/image? Or draw a kin (more like concept art or a drawing) in a different colour?
