There was something endearing about this side of Chase; more open than he normally was, less confined by whatever it was inside of him. Sometimes Auguste thought he was interested. Other times he was painstakingly reminded that he was just a customer, just a patron, and nothing more.
Hot and cold, day and night. He couldn't understand it.
Just like he couldn't understand it now, Chase's fingers slowly undoing the buttons of Auguste's shirt and making his breath catch in his throat, his pulse rapid and unsteady. He felt his skin tingle where Chase's hand brushed, and then, just like that, the shirt had been slid aside, exposing the pale curve of a shoulder.
"Tricking me?" Auguste said, somewhat breathlessly, and the question caught him off guard. He felt Chase's hand tighten.
What do you want from me?
What do you see when you look at me?
He couldn't figure it out.
"Colin won't mind," he said quietly. "He honestly won't, I - "
But the rest of his words disappeared, lost in his throat, drowned by the sensation of Chase's teeth sinking into his shoulder. Auguste let out a small, wordless sound, almost a gasp but not quite, and every part of him seemed to heat up, burst with emotion.
What do you want, Chase Black?
It took Auguste a moment to form proper words again.
"Isn't...isn't one person's loss...another person's gain?" he whispered.

Chase knew that he was confusing, that he'd been leading Auguste down a pathway made up of twists and turns and complications that were ultimately unfair but, in the end, this is what he'd been wanting all along. He had been wanting to skin his teeth into this beautifully unmarred flesh where the shoulder curved into the neck. Wanted to suck a bruise into pale skin and lay a claim.
Of what, he wasn't sure but he wanted.
After that debacle that was the club, it was truly only a matter of time before things came to this, though the older man had always imagined it would happen at the shop not here in a random park with a potentially random passerby or two. In the end, none of that mattered because here they were with Auguste sitting in his lap, shedding clothing because he was too curious about what Chase wanted to do and -
He sucked leisurely, drawing up and running his tongue along the indents that his skin had made and then, he gingerly kisses the side of Auguste's neck. When he drew back his expression was slightly haze and he had a lopsided half grin on his mouth. "Depends on the loss but sure, I think I gained something quite lovely."

In spite of being in public, it somehow felt private. It felt intimate, with just the two of them, Auguste in Chase's lap, Chase's mouth on his shoulder, making a bruise that was doing strange things to Auguste's heart and stomach. He couldn't stop thinking about it, or about the little kiss pressed to his neck, pulse fluttering under Chase's lips.
He turned his head and caught the lopsided grin and felt something in him shift, Auguste's breath unsteady.
"Did you?" he said quietly, and shifted slightly, turning more to face him. Auguste tentatively, uncertainly lifted a hand. It slid up Chase's arm, then came to a rest on his shoulder, as though he wasn't sure where to go from there, whether it would be allowed. Then, hesitantly, Auguste biting his lip, Auguste let his fingertips brush lightly across Chase's jaw, not daring to move higher.
He said nothing, but the expression on his face was slightly pained, mingled confusion, uncertainty and a lot more.

Chase had been keeping Auguste's shirt at bay but decided to slide his fingers across the skin where he'd bitten down and marked instead. His touch was light, fluttering as it smoothed over the indented skin and the redness that indicated a bruise was definitely going to form. It was hard for one not to, with how pale Auguste was. Finger kept gliding, ran along the skin where his lips had touched until fingertips were pressing into the nape of the man's neck.
But Chase didn't do anything else, just looked at Auguste with half-lidded eyes and the hints of grin on his mouth.
His face did tilt towards the hand gliding across his jaw before it suddenly dipped and he was nipping at those fingertips who were to shy to touch where they clearly wanted. Despite the impulse, he didn't draw them into his mouth like he considered, instead he drew back enough that they were pressed against his lips.
"I think so," he said softly, one brow arching like a challenge. As if he was waiting for Auguste to do something. "Is there something you think you might gain from his loss?"

He felt his breath catch in his throat; a word, or a thought, or something in his head that he'd been going to say, but now had forgotten, Auguste's focus entirely on the feel of Chase's fingers gliding over his shoulder, then across the back of his neck. Warm skin tingled, his heart beating fast - and yet the world around them seemed to have slowed to just the two of them.
His fingers were very light on Chase's jaw. But Chase had shifted, and teeth grazed his fingertips, Auguste's eyes widening, lips parting in surprise. Then they were pressed against Chase's mouth, and everything except the two of them seemed to have dissipated, creating a space where there was nothing else.
"...maybe," Auguste said softly, and it came out a little hoarse.
What do you want from me?
It was a question he didn't know the answer to. Auguste's hand slid down to rest on Chase's shoulder, and he was biting his lip, trying to figure out what lay behind that look on his handsome, sharp face, his fingers trembling slightly as he tilted closer, closer, until his face was mere inches from Chase's.
"Maybe," he whispered again, voice tremulous, and then, before he could change his mind, Auguste leaned in and brushed his lips feather light across Chase's.

Dimly, Chase was aware of the sounds of the night and park around them, but it all seemed inconsequential when there was this naive, pretty boy on his lap sporting a sizable hickey he'd just made. There was a haze in his head that was a mix of things he was sure, something that wasn't just his buzz anymore.
Emotions were a trifling thing, with something pervading the haze that he didn't understand. It didn't matter, with Auguste's soft voice drawing his focus.
The dancer was leaning in, hands sliding across his jaw to rest on a shoulder, with space becoming less and less. His head tilted, gaze shifting from lips to eyes to lips again. How dare he draw that lip into his mouth when he could have been doing other things. "Like wh- " he was cut off mid-word by lips pressing lightly against his own. The syllables were swallowed back down his throat when he used his grip on the base of Auguste's neck to draw him forward, closer.
When he kissed back there was no hesitation, no pauses, or tentativeness. Instead he kiss hard, insistently like he'd been waiting for this moment for a long while.

At first, he thought, he's not going to want this.
And then he thought, what if he pushes me away?
It was followed, rather quickly, by, what DO you want?
Something in Auguste's heart ached. He couldn't figure it out, the touch of his lips against Chase's so light it felt like hardly a kiss at all; a simple, tentative brush, because he couldn't figure out this boy beneath him, because he couldn't understand why he was doing this at all.
And then Chase's hand was wrapped around the back of his neck and was kissing him back and Auguste stopped thinking altogether.
The hand that was not on Chase's shoulder slid up to meet the first, and Auguste wrapped arms around his neck, melting, burning, drowning in this kiss, hard and unhesitant, a little whimper escaping him, and then a soft sigh of pleasure. The world had disappeared; it was just heat and the press of Chase close to him and the taste of his mouth.

Chase grinned into the kiss, moving to grip Auguste's partially unbuttoned shirt.
The way Auguste was seated in his lap made grasping anywhere else a little awkward, even if the other man could slide his arms over his shoulders easily. So, with the knowledge that this was something Auguste very much wanted, from the eager return of his kiss to the little noises he was making, Chase pulled back with laughter and breathlessness.
"Hey," he said softly, pressing their foreheads together so their noses nudged. "You should - " he paused, withdrew both hands and tapped fingers into Auguste's hips. "Adjust your position. If you," he grinned cheekily, "straddle me instead, I can kiss you better."
He had plenty of access to Auguste's neck while they sat like this, but he liked the idea of the man's weight settled more securely in his lap.

Chase wasn't pushing him away.
Chase was kissing him back.
Auguste had wanted, he knew, to kiss him ever since that night in the club, feeling the pound and press of people near them, feeling the sensation of Chase's warm breath across his face. An interrupted thing, alive and intoxicating between them, and now - now he was finally not being interrupted.
He still didn't know what Chase wanted. Chase was a puzzle he couldn't figure out, hot and cold all at once.
Auguste was breathless as they pulled back for air, his face flushed, Chase's nose brushing his. The grin was distracting, and so was the laughter; he wanted to drown in it, to let it wash over him until he knew how to bottle it up and save it for later.
He was biting his lip again, but this time it was to try and hide a smile, to hide the flush of pure happiness. Carefully, Auguste eased away, then shifted, sliding one leg over Chase's, movements tentative and hesitant as he settled himself back down, this time facing Chase, legs dangling over the bench behind him. Auguste slid arms arms around his neck again, happiness bursting in his chest.
"You were saying?" he murmured, and then leaned forward, pressing his lips to Chase's again.

Chase had known that Auguste had been enamored with him for a while, the events at the club still very prevalent in his thoughts whenever the man was around, but it wasn't until now. Until he was a little tipsy and feeling a bit frisky that he decided to indulge in something he knew that rightfully he shouldn't.
Poor Auguste was going to be disappointed in the end.
Chase could kiss and touch with ease and want, and he wanted Auguste, but he wouldn't be able to give him what he likely wanted. It didn't matter, he could think about it later. Right now he wanted to focus on Auguste, who was shifting so he could straddle him just as he'd asked.
He looked at the man in his lap appreciatively, grasping him by the hips as he surged forward to meet Auguste halfway when he went to kiss him. He kissed back eagerly, drawing his lip into his mouth and sucking on it, with a grin still on his lips. A hand traveled up Auguste's side, up his chest and across the bruised skin. He traced the mark he'd left behind before tangling his fingers in white locks of hair.
The position was easier, with Chase being able to manipulate their positions in ways he couldn't before. While he could've drawn away he didn't instead he sought to show his enjoyment and interest through kisses.

It was easier like this.
Like this, Auguste could twine his arms around Chase's neck and slide closer, his heart beating in his chest. Like this, he could pretend that the world had disappeared, and it was just the two of them, Chase's hands on his hips, sliding up his side, pressing fingers to the mark left behind by teeth, and then tangling in his hair. Like this, Auguste could let out a little hum of happiness against Chase's mouth, his arms tightly around him.
Like this, he could forget there was anything bad in the world.
Auguste didn't know how long it would last, how long they would sit there, how long anything at all would happen, but he wanted to hold onto it as much as he could, for as long as he could, sighing against Chase's mouth. Tentatively, he nipped at Chase's lower lip, then pressed closer, fingers against his jaw, nuzzling closer.
"Chase," he murmured, Auguste dizzy with the sensation of his nearness.

Chase's other hand slid around Auguste's back with the palm secure in the center of the dancer's back. It allowed him to rock their bodies slightly, adding a bit of teasing friction to their already heated meeting. In this new position it was easier for Chase to respond as eagerly as he wanted, with Auguste arms a firm and solid thing around his neck to ground him.
The man weighed very little with his short height and petite frame but his weight was still comfortable in Chase's lap and he found that he quite liked the way they appeared to fit together. It made him wonder how else they'd fit together, but the thought was shoved away.
There would be none of that today, not when he was only just beginning to give Auguste what he'd been dreaming of.
A pleased noise left him at the nipping of his mouth and even more so of the nuzzling, an affectionate gesture that reminded him of how he treated his wolf. In turn, Chase pressed against Auguste's neck so he could nuzzle it in return. "What Auguste?" He whispered, eyes half lidded and grips firm.

He thought he wanted to say something, except -
Except what could he say? All Auguste could think about was how comfortable this felt. How strangely wonderful and sweet and gentle and hot and pleasant this felt, sweeping through his veins with every little touch that was given to him by Chase's hands, with every single kiss pressed to his lips by Chase's mouth.
How much he'd wanted this, quietly yearning as he'd sat in the coffee shop, watching Chase as he'd moved behind the counter. How confusing and maddening and charming and delightful and frustrating and intriguing Chase Black was, barista and gentleman all rolled into one.
Chase's face was against his neck, and the sweet, tender nuzzling against each other, the pressure of body against body, the heat of their mouths made Auguste a little dizzy. He kept his arms where they were, twined around Chase's neck, and pressed a kiss to Chase's temple.
"Nothing," he said softly, Auguste kissing his cheek. "I just..." A kiss to his jaw.
"I...like this. It's...nice." The blush was deepening with every word.

Alcohol had impaired his judgement, though the warm tingle of a buzz had long since dissipated as they sat on the park bench beneath the stars. Auguste's weight was something light and comfortable in his lap, arms looped around his neck and lips brushing lightly against different parts.
He chuckled at the admission, because it was so typically Auguste.
"You're thinking too much," he replied, returning his kisses in the each same way. First the temple, then the cheek, and finally the corner of his jaw.
But Chase didn't stop there, he continued downward, kissed the length of the man's neck and across his collarbones until he was kissing up the length of neck. "Stop thinking Auguste, let go," he encourage as he swallowed whatever response he might have had with his mouth.
Maybe this was had happened because he'd been buzzed, tipsy but his head wasn't foggy anymore and his inhibitions weren't lowered. He knew what he was doing and he intended on continuing.

The mirrored kisses made Auguste's heart soar, made his pulse flutter. Chase's lips were soft on his temple, then cheek, then jaw, but unlike Auguste, Chase kept going, pressing warm, wet kisses to his throat, then across to the open neckline of his shirt, little kisses to his collarbone and then back up the other side of his neck. Auguste's breathing was coming out quicker, a hand sliding around to the nape of Chase's neck, his head falling back a little to give more access unthinkingly.
"Am I..?" he mumbled breathlessly, a laugh in his voice, and he didn't want this to stop. He didn't want to move away, he wanted to stay where he was, he wanted to bask in the sweetness and the warmth of Chase and his kisses and his arms and his hands and his glorious smile and his mischievous eyes.
And he wanted Chase to want this, as much as he did.
Stop thinking, Auguste.
Let go.
Chase's mouth was on his again, firm and unyielding, and Auguste couldn't think, not anymore.
Okay.
He let go of everything, of his questions, and his lack of answers, of his hesitancies, of his uncertainties and just let himself feel, arms winding back around Chase's neck, lips parting, eyes closed, Auguste pressing himself close, chest against chest.
Okay.
