Jeremiah did not have nightmares about being rotted but he certainly had nightmares of Algie falling to pieces and sometimes, when it was the worst, he would then die as well. Unable to stop it, unable to save him, unable to save anyone. "It may just be a normal house," he replied, "at least for the most part. I feel as if that was a ... unique situation." Jeremiah sighed, glancing over to Zac. "Either that or we would probably see people getting lost in there all the time because it ... shifts." Perhaps he was overthinking it. Jeremiah was tired.

“Have people actually gone in there since though? I mean, I haven’t… it dosen’t mean no one has but. It is a good point.” He admitted. “… It was, it was interesting that sunny could just show up there too, I thought she had a problem being places other than the beach, but I guess its kinda, on the beach in a way.” He crinkled his nose trying to work out his thoughts on the mater, but right now he was only adding more questions. “Never mind. We aren’t talking about this right now.” He scolded. “YOU are going to lay down, you are going to take it really, really damned easy, and if you so much as look –sideways- at the burning man I want to hear about it because one of these dimes you’re going to come back … dead or…missing a foot or I don’t know what.”

Jeremiah went silent at the mention of Sunny, his head spinning for a moment because she was there in his mind. The clothing was not right, it was several decades back, but her cigarettes were and- He let out a sharp breath, mind having gone elsewhere for a moment. "I'll rest," he said in a hoarse voice, "... but I want you to be careful, please. Of Sunny." There was a different tone there this time, one that belied his normal opinion that Sunny deserved better. That she did not deserve to be used for information or treated like anything other than a normal human girl.

That set Zac aback, it was so at odds with everything that had gone before, he wondered what had been said, or what had been seen. “I… I’ll be careful.” He said softly. “If you, get to a point you can tell me why though?” God help him it made him want to go talk to her again, but, like most of the people heavily involved with the ‘Other’ side of things he was never totally sure how to feel about her.

"... she's a piece of it," Jeremiah replied, not even hesitating to tell Zac, a hand smoothing across his face, "a piece of the thing that has been caged. That's why you need to be careful."

"A piece of it...how?" He said carefully. "Are we talking ...same motivations or are we talking... I don't know."

"I doubt her motivations are the same as she seems to prefer helping and she seems to be afraid of it." Or so he assumed because of the memories they had experienced so long ago now. "... but that she is part of it. She is a child of it, more so than just the daughter of the other world." Jeremiah raked a hand through his hair, blue-green eyes looking towards his son. "It honestly almost sounds as if this man split himself apart and made horcruxes and Sunny is one of them."

Zac was frowning at the words now. Hadn’t… it been said that she was ‘His’ Daughter? He bit at his lip and worried if he should mention that right now or not. Did that mean that Liam … was the Enemy? Or…. Perhaps just part of it They were assuming of course that the Enemy was a single entity, but what if it were as diverse as it’s ‘horcrux’. Besides, hadn’t he already mentioned it once? “Great…” he said softly instead. “ “So who in town is Harry Potter? Cause I can tell you right now It’s not me.”

"... if that is a lead in to make a 'yer a wizard' joke, I'm got be forced to do things, Zac." Jeremiah told him with a stern look, though it was softened because of the attempt of humor. "Next thing you know we'll be running across some mask wearing cult group and the similarities will continue to pile up."

“It wasn’t I promise.” He said with a small smile. He shook his head at the idea of mask wearing cults. “God… I hope not, death eaters or anything like it would be creepy as heck.” “But, I was thinking. Liam, Renard’s husband… He… “ He hesitated. “He um… he said he was Sunny’s father.”

Jeremiah had another retort about Death Eaters but it died on his tongue at the mention of what Zac said. "... that ..." A hand was rubbed against his head. "That is not what I would have expected." Blue-green eyes looked back over to Zac, obviously tired and worn but still working through things regardless. "Yet it confirms even more so that they definitely are aware and are involved. Just how much ..." His hand flicked through the air. They had no idea.

“Yeah.” he said in the agreement with the half formed thoughts. “Please though, try not to get yourself killed trying to get answers okay? This town needs you, I need you.”

Jeremiah squeezed his arm around Zac. "I'm not planning on it, Zac." Then he was pushing himself up to stand, a shaky hand offered out to the young man. "Come on, help me get stuff ready for dinner. Alg is going to cook but I'm allowed to prep and you can help with that." He paused and smiled. "... maybe stay for dinner too?" With that he was pulling Zac off towards the kitchen, leaning on him just a bit. It was a better evening than he had expected.
