"You... you know how to MAKE candy? Oh! I think I'm in love!" He laughed and watched her spread out the picnic of sweets. But... something was missing. "... Oh! Hang on a moment, Willow! I'll be right back!" He jumped up and dashed off down one of the park trails.

Willow had brought all that yummy looking food, but there were no drinks! He knew how to fix that. There were drink machines near by. He just had to accost a few of them! Well, he only mauled one because he didn't want Willow to think he'd left her. Zion managed to shake out a couple drinks. Sadly, one was plain water, but the other was a bottle of lemonade! He ran back to Willow with his prizes and set them down with the food. "S... sorry!" He panted. "Didn't mean to... make you wait like that."

"Thanks for waiting! Sorry about that." He pawed at his face nervously a moment then beamed at her. "Everything looks so delicious. What's your favorite? I wanna try that first." He sort of inspected each of the sweets and... MAN! This was just heaven! His mom never cooked things... Well, never things she wanted him to try. It was probably for the better because he didn't need to spontaneously turn purple or something. "Oh... um... Which drink do you want? Or do you um... we could just... I donno, you know... share them both..."

"Aw sweet!" He took the candy when she shoved it at him. "Do you only have one?" He looked around to see if there were others. "If it's your favorite..." He carefully broke it in half, so they didn't lose too many crumbs, and offered her back half the candy. He popped his half in his mouth. "Mmm. Mmmm! I can see why you like these! They're like you!" wait, that sounded weird. "I mean, like... they're sweet, ya know? And kind of surprising..."

"Yeah, surprising. I mean, you like to draw and you're good at it and you know how to make things like candy and they're DELICIOUS! And you're strong enough to pick me up and you make awesome cannonballs! But you were kinda quiet at camp. So I guess this is why I'm surprised." He shrugged and grabbed the bottle of lemonade and opened it.

"What do I like doing? Well, I like finding things. I go to the inbetween with my mom sometimes when she's looking for new things to bring back for everyone." He thought a bit. "I'm actually really good at finding lost things. Like when we had that scavenger hunt! And I like building things too. I want to make a house in the top of the trees so I can be way taller then everyone! And if I do make one, I'll make a big moon roof in it and you can come over and watch the stars with me!"

"Well no not quite like that. I mean... like the human always loses her keys, and I can usually find them. ... Unless Johai ate them again. He's had to barf those things up three times this year. It's gross." He sighed. "Oh! But like, when mom and I were in the inbetween last time, we found a flower that familiars really liked. And then I found a whole field of them! So we gathered a lot of nectar for everyone here. So I just... I'm just good at finding things. Not just lost things, just... things." He shrugged at that a little. "And I must be really good at finding stuff cause I found you."

"He's kind of a jerk. I think h likes throwing up." He scrunched up his face a little. "But that sort of... ruins the moment." He sighed and grabbed a cupcake and started munching. "Mmm-mmmh. This is really good!" He had frosting on his face.

"The flowers re kinda pretty. There are lots of different flowers in the inbetween. Not all of them are very nice. There are flowers that bite too. Do you like flowers? My human has 3 whole glass houses full of flowers!" He spoke of his human's green houses.

"Sad?" He had to think about that for a moment, then smiled at her. "You shouldn't feel sad. Flowers are awesome, and they grow back year after year. And getting flowers makes people happy." He beamed. "Have you ever gotten flowers?"

"I donno." Zion shrugged a little. "The human says sometimes you have to take flowers off a plant to make it better. Like, I guess it grows so many flowers that they aren't getting enough food... or plant blood..." He had no idea how flowers really worked. "But taking some off makes the other's grow even stronger!" He flailed his arms a little for emphasis.

He put his paws back on the blanket and sat there, staring at Willow with a smile. She hadn't ever gotten flowers? Well! He knew what he was going to give her next time he saw her!
