Zeke retreated and Harley stepped forward, but this time she swung Lament away and then down, sweeping the flatter, less spike-riddled end against the man's knees, letting out a sharp noise as she willed her limbs to move the heavy weapon just this once. Her aim had been to knock him down, and down him she did. When he settled, the next thing he'd see was one of Lament's front spikes pointed at his throat - with only inches to spare.

"Yield?" Harley suggested sweetly, her lungs aching as she fought to keep her panting to a minimum.

Backing up didn't really serve him well. Harley hooked his legs, and Zeke went down hard, knocking the wind out of him for a second time. At this point, even if his shield hadn't broken, he'd have given her the victory. She had certainly earned it as far as he was concerned. "Yield."

The spikes on her axe looked might sharp this up close and personal. He very carefully lifted a hand and pushed the tips of his fingers against the side of the spike that was aimed at his throat, nudging it away.

"I think that's enough of that." It was time to get the hell off the training field and into a pool.

"Hee!" Harley keened in delight at his yield, hopping a step back and releasing her grip on her weapon, as if she were about to drop it to the ground. It vanished as it fell while a bracelet formed around her right wrist, the small bell dangling from it letting out a soft chime.

"Good game!" Now that Lament was gone she was hopping forward again, closing the distance to stretch a hand down to help him up. "Can we go swimming now? We earned it, right?" They'd had dinner, and a spar, and now to swim - the one thing she had been looking forward to most. Hopefully. If she hadn't messed it up by winning.
