Rendeline nodded happily when he asked her for confirmation. Yes it is. I believe so. She was glad that she was able to remove one from the list. The problem now is that how she'd be able to help him achieve the the other two emotions he had mentioned. Joy and Love. When Leon explained that he already have knowledge about the negative emotions and have felt them, she kept her silence for a while. Of course a reaper would be able to meet the people who would probably continue their lives in the netherworld so that would be a normal for him to recognize such emotions. I see, well then maybe we should just focus on these two first. Love and joy. I'm worried that if I add anymore then we might not be able to accomplish our goal. Let's see. Maybe we could start defining them just to see if you were able to experience them since we cannot force emotions onto people they just feel it. She had no complete grasp of the actual meanings of these two but she could at least give an analogy.

She then decided to continue on to the two other main emotions that Leon wanted to focus on. She suggested that they should define these two words before doing anything else since emotions cannot be brought on by force. "Alright." He said to let her know that he understood and began to think of the definitions for both words. "Well by definition of love it is a strong feeling of affection for someone, or an attraction that includes sexual desire. Joy is the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires." By definition those were what those words meant but he never understood the whole idea of them in the first place so it was odd to him. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Rendeline but her lower lip as she listened to Leon's understanding on the two. I seems like he had more knowledge about this than she thought. It's a good thing that he explained them first or else she'd probably make a fool of herself again by trying to define things just like when she answered him about the kiss. She raised her finger to speak but decided to write down he's view towards the said emotions. After doing that she raised her head and smile at him. Alright, I think it would be easier to focus with joy first.She cleared her throat and began to read her notes. You said that joy is the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires. Are there anything you desire as of the moment? Or maybe any you'd like to have? Honestly he had no idea what she's doing right now. That question may have been too personal but had to ask. That was the only thing that came to her mind right now.

Red then began to ask if he had any desires at all, and in fact Leon did. "Yes I do. I desire to feel love and joy, but seeing as we're trying to figure out how I can feel such an emotion it is counter productive. I do have one other desire but it's more of a curiosity at best that I want to try. I see humans do this all the time and they seem to smile a lot from it. I guess you could say they feel joy and happiness from it. Should I try to do it?" He asked. What Red may not of known was Leon was talking about kissing. Earlier Leon only got a glimpse of what a kiss felt like when Red had kissed his cheek. He didn't get the whole experience of it so he thought maybe perhaps he didn't do something right. It has been a very long curiosity for Leon but his master refused to allow him to try such a thing so Leon never got the chance to try it. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Rendeline felt foolish for asking such question.Of course! It was obvious that he wanted to know how love and joy feels like. Asking that only made things more complicated for them. Good thing he had another desire or else they may be stuck at that point for a while. She was never good at solving things. It's basically Leon who's guiding her on this instead of her doing it. Of course!She mused, placing the pen and notebook on the table. If it would help you understand these feelings then, yes I suggest you do. Surly the thing he had in mind would mean no harm. As of now he had not shown her anything that would make her feel threatened. Heck! He even went out of his way to restrain her while she was in her wolf form just to preserve her ideals. Right now she trusted him completely so there was no need to ask what it was. Though she too was a little curious what was on his mind.

He said with a casual tone in his voice. Leon then stood up from his chair and took off his monocle resting it on the table. He then walked over to Red and leaned down towards her reaching his hand to the side of her cheek and gently pulled her in so he could kiss her. He had seen humans put their lips on each other for a period of time. Most of time it was long so he mimicked their actions. The kiss was a strange feeling he thought as he pulled away from Red. He held his hand under his chin in a thinking pose and spoke out loud; "What a strange feeling. It feels like there is suppose to be a deep meaning behind this action. Like passion and eagerness within it. What a unique sensation. It felt thrilling to do such a thing, the only time I have ever felt thrill was through a battle so perhaps this was the joy I was seeking? Rendeline was a little confused why he said let's do it. Did that mean that he would need her help? Seeing that he needed to do it while standing she thought that she would need to do so as well. However her movements stopped the moment she felt his hand on her cheek, gently pulling her in as his lips touched hers. It took a few seconds before her brain was able to catch up with what was currently happening that time. The kiss lasted longer than usual but all the while her eyes where open. When he pulled back and started talking, she just stared at him as her hand touch her lips. Her cheeks were burning red and went up to the ears. She could have sworn that her heart would have jumped out of her mouth if Leon was not stopping it with his lips. His lips! That was her first kiss! What on earth just happened?
She was pulled back into reality when she heard Leon calling her name. Hm? All this time she was lost in her own thoughts and was not even listening to what he was saying. Y-You... Uhm... She was not sure what to say at this point. It would just be too embarrassing if he knew that she was not able to think clearly and did not hear what he just said just because all this time all she thought about was that kiss. Was it even normal to feel this way? Y-Yes... Yes. Finally she nodded in agreement. Hopefully he was able to grasp the idea somehow even though she had not heard it.

"Are you okay?" he asked with slight confusion. Did he do something? Maybe it was because he kissed her. "Even more strange. Does kissing someone turn them red? Am I turning red?" He said with a genuine look on his face. He honestly did not realize that he had flustered Red and so he wasn't putting two and two together. "Well in any case perhaps it is time to move on to the next emotion. Love. So all I need is to have affection towards someone with a sexual desire?" Leon asked. He then thought to himself. "I've never had a sexual desire before. This may prove to be more of an issue." "Hmm....." He continued his thoughts until he went back to looking at Red. "There's an issue. Rendeline nodded as if she was a robot. Was she that obvious for him to ask that question? Then again that's the generic question you ask someone if you have no idea what they feel or thinking. Not the point! The thing is he noticed. The girl can never be more embarrassed. Her eyes widen when he suddenly asked if kissing someone turn them red. N-No of co-course not. U-Usually people bu-blush when they're embarrassed. Her hands cupped her cheeks and tried to avert his gaze. She was stammering more than usual. How can she help it? Just like Leon this feeling was all too new to her.
As expected from him, Leon was able to brush off their kiss just like that. There a pang of disappointment in Rendeline's heart at the same time she was relieved that they were now brought back on track. Honestly the only love that I have felt until now is the love I feel for my family and friends. I think the one you are defining is something you would be looking for in a partner. If that's the case then I may be able to help you. She paused for a while and tried to recall her grandmother's words. According to grandmother you will know if you're in love when start to feel that you cannot live without that person to the point that you somehow think about them constantly for no apparent reason; when you feel that they bring out the best in you and giving you strength to step out of your comfort zone and still make you feel a little comfortable in maintaining your individuality. Most of all you enjoy being with them even if you were only doing small things. These are only a few examples that I can remember. I cannot believe that I was even able to remember this much. I think I was just around nine or ten when she answered this question of mine. She giggled remembering the days her grandmother talked about things like this as if they are bed time stories. Well, hopefully this would be able to help Leon understand it. He may not know it but he had been in love with someone in the past.

So love for a family member is something I will never know." It really was a disappointment to Leon. If he had a family he could of tried that kind of love for a family instead. It was then that Red explained the situation of how love works when it comes to being in love with another person. What she described was almost similar to how he viewed his old master. "Huh. How strange. Some of what you said was how I viewed the last master I served a long time ago. He sent me away though. I no longer have any master of sorts. So if it was anything close to love its gone now." Leon walked to his chair again and picked up his monocle to wear again. He sighed and rested his head against his had which was balled into a fist. "That was the only other connection I had with someone. I can only feel that way with a master because of the bond I make with them. It can't be helped I guess." He sighed. There wasn't anything he could do with this emotion because his master did not need him anymore which was why he was sent away. At first he just thought of it as a request to leave just for a break but once the bond he felt for his master leave him he knew it wasn't just for a short period of time. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

It seemed like every time she tried to explain something to Leon she end up failing and made him look disappointed. Maybe it would be better to keep her thoughts to herself but if she did that she will not be able to accomplish anything especially if he had this much questions about emotions. If only she could find the right words to help him out then maybe he'd be able to have the same smile on his face, the same smile that he had shown her this morning. For some reason she yearned for that ever since she managed to see it on him. Hearing him talk about his master was a little tragic. To think that the only person where you were able to create a bond would seperate themselves from you like that. That must have hurt him so much. That's it! Maybe that would help him. Rendeline took a deep breath, leaned a little closer and placed her hand on his knee. I might not be your master but you can always come to me. In case that you need someone to talk to or anything at all you can always come to me. My grandmother had always told me that a person always needs place they could call home. It does not need to be a place So maybe... She trailed off pulling her hand away from him just to squeeze them on her chest. ...maybe you can... uhm... The blush came back to her cheeks. What was she trying to say? Why does it feel so awkward telling him this? Was there even a meaning why she's even doing this? Maybe. But right now she's just confused about it herself as well.

When she held his hand he was sure that she was saying something that he took in a certain way. After she finished by stumbling on her words he spoke trying to finish her sentence. "Are you asking to be my master?" He said in a serious tone that felt calm and not any sort of hostility in the context of it. Rendeline's eyes snapped back to him upon hearing his question. What? No! She was shocked that he even asked her that. Why would he even think of such thing? She giggled softly to herself. To think that she was feeling awkward about this when the other party had no idea what she was about to say. Honestly neither does she. What I mean is that if you need someone to stay by your side then I'd can be that be person. That is of course if you like. As you mentioned your master is no longer with you. So wouldn't it be a good thing if you'd be able to have a place you can call home? She said smiling sweetly at the reaper. It may be to much to offer but it is still his choice to make. Though a part of her would really love it if he chose to say yes.

He really had little purpose left with himself. The only thing he lived for was to fight for his master and he no longer had one so everything was so confusing and just pointless to him. If he found a master he might have some purpose. It was then what she said next that gave him a confused look on his face. "What your saying is basically the same thing as wanting to be my master. The only person who can stay by my side is a person who is my master." He then listened to her as she said that he had a home with he. "If you don't intend to be my master then why give me a home? What do you gain from me living with you?" His question was heading back to what he didn't understand about humans. Generosity was not something he was accustomed too especially towards him. Teaching a person who had no idea how emotions work was really difficult. Maybe it would be better if she was to accept it and be his master. He could not be considered as her apprentice so wouldn't that mean that he would be her servant? She would not want that. I'm not really fond of the idea of me being your master. How about let's start with being a friend? She asked sheepishly. She had never seen herself superior towards others so being a master set up would never work for her. And when I mean home that does not literally mean that you are to live here. Home is a where you can always return to. It can be a place or a person. But if you want to stay here for a while then that would be fine, I guess. And no worries about me gaining anything from you. It's just what friends do for each other. They do each other favors without asking anything in return. For others that may sound ridiculous but for Rendeline that was what a friend should be.
