Corina did not know what kind of acts Cerebus would take now that they had complete control of Council Space. Their communications were offline, if not semi-functioning, but further repairs required security measures if given permission but Ally and the commander. Cerebus was well known for creating ways to infection an ship's firewalls.
Recruitment was callous, if not down right bloody. Words or actions, they will end up with blood on their hands regardless of what they claimed. Even if she was a mercenary by trade, some would beg to differ about siding with the organization who dared to throw the galaxy into chaos. The less harmless individuals, anyway. It was not hard to imagine gangs like Blood Pack being given some free reign in their local systems.
Walking past the guards from the Q.E.C., Corina knew this was just the beginning. She did not have enough time to get antiquated with the rest of the crew during the dog fight. She brushed a strand of hair from her face reaching the medical bay to see some of the crew were returning to their duties. After stopping by the cargo hold to retrieve the medical supplies, she figured the doctor would need these with so many men and women lost.
"Here's your supplies, Doctor."
Uda turned to face the next person as she let her latest patient retreat from the medical wing. It was a miracle someone got here so soon but she never expected Corina to deliver them herself.
"Set them in the corner," Uda smiled in relief. She could see Corina's condition was starting to effect her. Combined with they survived and what they were going to plan next, it was clear who was going to come in for a check up after the dead were taken care of and the rest were fit for duty. "Though, I recall you insisted being treated last."
Corina set the boxes in a small corner. She could feel her biotics wanting to destabilize, as a side effect of being born with anemia and added stress. Many doctors warned her to watch for this symptom. They were not wrong.
"You had other patients."
"Stay here for a minute." Uda advised. "It seems your implants are flaring up."
"They will be fine until then." Corina insisted. "Need any help here?"
"Then I expect you here after the debriefing, Corina." Uda frowned. "For now I will let the Commander take over."

Uda Stark
She was both alarmed and relieved to find both the captain and Corina there at the same time. Her first patient was in need of urge care; the other was torn between helping and staying where she sat out of necessity. However, now was not the time.
The meeting drained both of them. Though, it was clear the latter learned to hide it well enough behind an mask she could not read at the moment. Pulling out badnages and medigel, a part of her wondered what kept this crew alive at all. If they had Krogan aboard, it would be another worry if someone insulted one of their warriors.
"Oni, can you hear me?" she began.

>>--» Post Number: 31 «--<< Gwen moved fluidly to the med-bay so that she didn’t jostle Oni. She could hear Corina’s footsteps behind her and within moments of leaving the war room Uda told her the med-bay was ready. Moments later she was walking into the med-bay and depositing the Captain onto one of the open beds. She said nothing as some of the crew members gazed at them in worry. A couple of minutes after they arrived Uda walked in and immediately begun accessing the damage. She could hear the doctor mutter about a broken leg, punctured lung and broken ribs.
Oni’s incoherent mumbling only reinforced how badly he was injured. She should have made him stay earlier. Stepping back, she studied Corina closer. “Your using biotics to hide symptoms too. Sit your a** down and wait for Dr.Stark to finish up. I need everyone I can get” she said giving Corina a hard stare that many would obey. She had been told once that her glares were like staring death down.
“I am assuming command until the Captain is well again. Please resend the information you sent him earlier and I will contact the alliance if need be” she ordered. “Also send all relevant information to Aura. She and Ally will plot a course. Not the first time we had to get creative.”
“Aura, do not let anyone leave med-bay unless the doctor gives her approval. I don’t want any more injured personal wandering the ship. Repairs need doing and we don’t need people getting in the way.”
Patching into the system wide comm she relayed “In a turn of unforntuate events I – Gwen am taking temporary command. We are expected to start he journey home with in 30 or so minutes. All injured personal make your way to med-bay or remain in you quarters. Everyone fit for duty make contacted with your area lead to see what needs doing.” Shutting the comm down she sighed and looked at Uda.
“He may be a stubborn idiot, but he is our chosen leader. Take good care of him” Gwen said before turning on her heel and leaving the med-bay. Walking down the corridor she made her way to the lounge an snagged a shot of whiskey she had them stock the bar with. The golden liquid slithered down her throat and she sighed in momentary content before moving on to the work out room. While her injuries were minor, and she knew enough about ships to be able to help with repairs she needed to blow off some steam. It would also allow her a moment to catalogue and piece together everything that was going on.

Corina Zita / Uda Stark
Uda did not know how long Oni was able to endure his injuries. The jump from their current location would have added more stress on top of ensuring the crew did not suffer anymore than they had to. It was a miracle they were able to come up with a plan at all, but she suspected Corina had a bone to picked with Cerebus based on the nature of this plan. As risky as it was, it minimized the losses even further for the time being but no less time consuming.
The doctor slipped on a pair of gloves as set examined Oni. His ribs were cracked, and would leave him bedridden for a week at most. The punctures in his lungs would make that even longer depending how long he listened to her advice during that time. Minor injuries would be the least of their problems thankfully.
Inserting an IV into his arm, Uda took a deep breath seeing one of her assistants recording what she noticed. It would be awhile before he woke up but he would live nevertheless. It would be a miracle if anyone tried to get within an hour of doing so with these injuries.
Corina watched the medics do their jobs as they tended to their commander. As much as she preferred to preparing to for the jump to the Krogan DMZ, there was no point in doing so barely on her feet. Korgan were not known to be friendly, especially when they survived an Cerebus coup.
Let's hope they listen.
The mercenary looked down at the files she was reviewing for the past thirty minutes. Cerebus for their countermeasures failed to keep out the most tech minded. Their hot labs and secret bases seemed to be stepping stones. It was what she suspected weeks before abandoning her post. With the last of the files sent to Gwen's omni-tool, a part of her felt the doctor's glare on her. As much as she would disobey the death glare, it was her condition making her think otherwise. Though she understood why a commanding officer would worry.
"Corina, how have you been feeling for the last few hours?" Uda began. "Cerebus nearly bled you dry with those cheaps shots boarding the ship."
"There was barely enough time for a proper transfusion, Stark." Corina began. "So how long will this take?"
"Two hours at most." Uda nodded as she directed Corina to move the last empty bed. "The blood transfusion is required from I can gather from the limited access to your file."
"Don't poke too many veins," Corina frowned feeling the sharp p***k in her arm. "Need that for whatever we have to face in the field."

Uda would be lying to say she was worried about the rest of crew. Watching Corina walk out to tend to her duties, she wondered how the woman was able to disappear into obscurity in the first place before collapsed from exhaustion when she went rogue in the beginning.
Still, the doctor had to resist ordering Ethan to report to the medical bay. Then again, she suspected the Krogan would say he knew better.
"Aura, have Ethan report to medical bay." she requested. "Even someone has to drag him in here, I want to run another exam. ASAP."

Uda looked from her desk to see Corina carrying Ethan into the medical bay shirtless. She had no idea what would possess the mercenary to check on in the first place but she was relieved someone managed to half way convince him to visit her. Despite his special 'condition,' the doctor knew very little other the Asari seemed too interested at times.
Let's hope Corina keeps her weapon holstered if we do run into one who is. Uda shuttered.
"Why are you shirtless?" she sighed. "On the engineering deck of all of places?"

>>--» Post Number: 37? «--<< Gwen stepped off the treadmill and headed for her quarters. Every muscle ached, and her skin gleamed with sweat. As the door closed behind her Aura’s voice played across the speakers. “I was debating sending you after Ethan but it seems as though Corina has dealt with him. If your done blowing off steam I could use your expertise in engineering and other areas. Ethan accomplished the major work but there is still lots to do. We should be arriving in the Krogan DMZ and meeting up with Einar within an hour or so.”
“Sounds good Aura. Have the rest of the injured reported in to med-bay?” She asked Aura as she walked into the shower.
“Yes Captain. All crew have responded accordingly.”
“Good. I will be down in engineering in five minutes” she responded as hot water hit her skin. She watched the grim and blood swirl around the drain and disappear. Tilting her face up she let the water wash off the rest of the day’s filth and allowed the heat to seep into her skin and relax her tense muscles. Turning off the water, she mentally cleared her thoughts and focused on the now.
As Gwen entered the engineering she cringed inwardly. The area was a mess. Moving some broken components off to the side she cleared up the main area before setting about to double check Ethan’s work. She had no doubt in the man’s abilities but the last thing they needed was something malfunctioning if the s**t hit the fan again as they tried reaching Sol. As she did one final check of repair logs, she noticed an alert about the drive core entrance panel. Walking over it was easy to see that someone had attempted to brute force their way in. Sighing she pulled out a mini tool pouch that someone had given her on her first day working the docks. It was nothing special really, but it had gotten her in and out of quite a few jams and she rarely went anywhere with it.
As she made quick work of fixing the panel, she hailed Aura. “Hey, I’m going to do physical check of the core. Shouldn’t be more then five minutes but I’m shutting down my comm.”
Stepping into the room the door swiftly closed behind her. Few people were admitted into this area. It wasn’t so much a lack of trust in the crew so much as the core was a highly sensitive area. It wouldn’t take much to do damage in here. Walking around the room she checked the walls, wires and panels. The core was emitting a low frequency buzz that was standard and nothing appeared out of place. Assured nothing had gotten in she quickly left.
Entering deck five she checked on the Kodiak and Hammerhead Shuttles which looked like they had gone through hell and back. Blood painted the floors and hulls of the shuttles. Walking into the Hammerhead she fired up its maintenance systems. Everything read green across the board which wasn’t much of a surprise. The shuttle had been designed to survive much worse. As she checked the cargo, she noticed some of the weaponry was missing and logged it into her omni that it would need resupplying before being sent out for battle. As she closed her omni her gaze fell on the mess of the Kodiak. Someone had tried hotwiring the console and someone else had shot it up all to hell. “Aura, the Kodiak is a hot mess. Its going to take hours and a shipment of parts to repair. Hammerhead is still operational though” she commented as she wandered over to the armory. The area looked like a fresh batch of paint had been thrown all over, but nothing had breached the hold.
Hitting up deck three again Gwen stopped by the mess hall. For the most part the area was spotless. Their sad excuse for a cook Keith was a clean freak. She could just imagine his reaction to Ally’s ragdoll maneuver as it sent his stuff flying about and it brought a smile to her face. “Hey Sol, looking for some cookies?”
“Yes. But not the s**t you made” she answered with a grimace. The last time she had ate one of his ‘cookies’ her mouth had been set on fire. The fool had thought jalapeno’s and chilies made for an interesting mix and she had never forgiven or trusted him with her food since. “Where are the Oreos I had shipped in?”
“Catch” Keith called as he sent the pack flying at her.
Catching the Oreos so as not to crush them she gave him one of her signature death glares. “You have better hope you have a good supply of these” she commented before heading off to med-bay.
As she walked into med-bay she polished off her third cookie. Oni was still out like a light, medical machinery plugged into him emitting constant noise and she noticed both Ethan and Corina were in attendance as well. Other then that the med-bay was silent as the rest of the crew was either sleeping off the meds, sent back to work or their bunks. Uda of course was still in full doctor mode as she examined Ethan. As the doctor took notice of her entrance she walked over and handed her a cookie. Before grabbing another one for herself.
She didn’t fail to see the longing look Ethan gave her ore’s and she chuckled softly. “Next time don’t go doing repairs shirtless and you may get one” she commented as she ate the one in her hand while offering one to Corina. “Thanks for dragging his a** in here, along with your own” she said to Corina before looking at the doctor again. “Anything I need to know?”

The brown haired male chuckled a tiny bit as the two of them traveled towards the Medical Bay. And responded to the female Mercenaries comments slowly, as if he was having a hard time wording things the way he wanted to do so. "I would try to tell them all that.. if Doctors in general didnt remind me of Scientists and tend to get under my skin simply from a glance in their general direction. But I think your record, and the fact you are here speaks for itself. At least thats how I feel about it anyway. And if I had the energy to drag you to the med bay...I probably would have made you come here straight from the briefing if I had."
However, when she questioned why he would have a problem with a mercenary on board he couldn't help but tilt his head to the side at Corina. "Why would I have a problem with you being onboard the ship? I dont have any problem with Mercs...actually I dont really have many problems with people in general...just a fear or certain things and a crushing paranoia about doctors..." If he hadnt been so tired he might have been more wary about what he said right then, but it couldnt be helped. "And I will let you know. Be sure to do the same if you need anything, weapon modifications, repairs, armor adjustments...or you just want to rant about anything...Unless its complaints about me. In which case write them down and Ill read them. Easier that way..."
Once they finally got to the Med-bay, he was immediately get addressed by the Doc in charge about why he was shirtless. He felt like he had explained this already more than enough times, even if it was only to one person and began to reply in turn. Basically giving the same explaination."So that I'd be able to do my work more efficiently and move my body easier...I took my armor off before I even left this floor to go to the Engineering Bay since it was a set that didnt actually fit my body. Wasn't my own armor ya know? Sorry for causing you all so much concern..." He then felt a small yawn leave his lips, and began to add," Im...gonna rest my eyes..."
That was when the person in charge entered the room, his green eyes opened and he looked over at her...and before he noticed anything else a small rumble came from his stomach and his eyes were locked onto her Bag of oreos. And biting his lip a tiny bit but nodded with a small puppy like pout.
(OOC: Sorry, I didnt get alerts to the Med Bay posts O_O)
Stark looked up from examining from cut she expected was received during repairs in engineers. She suspected Gwen came by to check on their commander en route to the Citadel, and she could not blame any of the crew worrying. Most of Ethan's burns were manageable but she refused to ask why he would risk his personal safety over wearing, even if it was a set that was too big.
They were minor thanks to the exposed wires but nevertheless injuries that would heal themselves with medigel. Though, it was interesting to see Corina of all people worry over him. As much as she could tell from her past military records, and those from her commanding officer at the time, she was not a cold woman. Strange to see her wandering the ship from psychological point of view.
"Nothing has changed if that is what you are asking." Uda sat her desk with a small smile watching Corina leaning on the left most bed sipping her glass of brandy. The latest crewmen to leave seemed happy to get back to work. "Though, I have been meaning to see if I could gain access to some of crew medical files. It would make treating the rest of you easier."
Corina rubbed her forehead knowing Oni - or, at this point, Gwen - the squad to meet her contact would be worried. While it was appreciated, the mercenary would prefer to accompany them to avoid having the mission go south somehow. Her contact, unfortunately, was not the trusting type. He was even more so with Cerebus trying to take over again.
Unlike Ethan, who seems to ignore I am an traitor to the Alliance. The mercenary sighed.
Biting into the Oreo, Corina could imagine the shipment that was store away on this ship. She herself secretly threatened starvation since the chef tried to ban her from the kitchen. Biotics, sadly, had to eat more than the average person. That would be a never ending war as long as she was on board the SSV Demon.
"We will talk about that later, Uda. If you...want to." She said. "No need to worry about me at the moment. Just relieved we have decent food on here for once."
"Alliance command would gladly hear you out with the information you have." Uda began. "We need you healthy as a member of this crew, though. Impressive as your military record is it does not change you are human."
Corina watched the doctor knowing she meant well. She figured the acting commander cleared with one of the admirals before letting her board as an official crew member.
"I will kept that in mind." Corina leaned against the cot before turning to Ethan. "Find me when you wake up. There could be a supplier stationed on Omega that might be willing to send a shipment once we take care of our business on Earth. Just try not to...push yourself more than necessary until then."
"Didn't think you worried that much," Uda chuckled.
"I have been in his place before." Corina lifted a brow at Gwen and Uda. "Half the squad during my service in the Alliance treated me like glass than a capable adept. Some of the Batarians and Vorcha on Omega found out the hard way to never let that label fool them."
