The beautiful Muzét. Muzét appreciated his fondness for her feelings. She was never going to be happier knowing that he was one of those people to indulge her rather than scold her. That frame of mind would always make her work a bit harder. As they continued through the line and registered themselves, she did her best to save face and stop complaining. She did however download a delicious candy themes game on her phone and was having lots of fun with it until it was her turn. She filled out her own information along with David. Once they were finished she couldn't help but twirl in her own happiness. "Ugh, I hate big business places, the idea of being here is borestation..." She sifted through her purse to deposit her purse before taking David's hand and walking with him to the exit.
"I want something with mint in it! And dark chocolate bunnies!" She expected a firm response echoing her need for bunnies but she didn't receive that. Instead she turned to see a rather nodding David. "Day-Day?" Then it hit her, this was an illusion...and she could touch it?! She took her hand away and flicked it as if to remove any illusion dust as she stood with the figment. It seemed capable of responding to her so she smirked and looked into his eyes. "Muzét is the most beautiful enchantress the world has ever seen and You're so grateful to have such a gorgeous woman at your side right?" The illusion just kept on nodding and for a moment she felt like he was actually saying such things, which made her smile. "And you're gonna buy me all the bunnies~!" She said with a flurry of emotion before the figment spoke, David had returned. He must have completely taken the illusions place without her even realizing it. Sometimes this guy was too good at what he did.
"I think that Ice cream is highly overdo, lead the way!" She took his arm into hers and smiled.

Once the trio had finally arrived at Townhall, Katrina wasted no time in entering, her expression serious as she ran past the secretary. Ignoring the woman's confused expression for now, Kat sprung into her office, her eyes scanning the area. Nothing seemed out of place, no drawers opened or filing cabinets broken in to. Even her computer seemed untouched, the screensaver of bubbles floating around innocently. So what then, was the reason for the alarm's activation? She continued to walk around the room, her quiet inspection giving time for the other two bearers to catch up. Finally, she found the only thing that proved someone had been within the room. It looked like an obvious calling card, clearly meant to mock instead of inform. Kat frowned, trying to understand why she was given a message in such a way. The "tip" about the upcoming theft could have been done before she could even be notified of it, so why would somebody do this? It was clearly a target against her, and Kat could feel worry bubble up around her. The town ball was less than two weeks away, and she was already stressing over the attacks from the woman named Lily and her apparent accomplice, a man named Leon. Now there was a new pair to stress over, causing the telepath to take a few deep breaths in order to calm down. There had to be a place to start, but Kat new that this was not going to be all fun and games.

Artie Hopper Artie and Beta were following quickly behind Katrina as she entered the Townhall, also ignoring the confused secretary. It didn't take long for him to arrive at her office to see his fellow charm bearer looking around her office to see what was out of place. She had then found a card on her desk, and he saw the frown on her face as she looked at it. Artie and Beta looked at each other before moving over to Katrina to look at the card as well. "..Talk about timing.. This is Phantom Thief Illusionist's advanced notice..." Artie said to her with a frown, honestly not expecting this to happen. Beta even went to work sniffing around the room to catch a scent, but couldn't even find one. "This.. is definitely the real deal, Kat.. this follows Illusionist's MO, as he always sends an advance notice as a challenge whenever he is going to steal something." He explained to her with a frown on his face.

Katrina nodded to show that she had heard Artie speak, but i was clear that she was still deep in thought. This illusionist was clearly interested in putting on a show, and he enjoyed taunting. She re-read the card and note in her hand, taking the time to decipher what the unknown man was referring to. It took her a couple of minutes, but Kat was quick to realize which painting the man would be after. There were a couple of paintings in the townhall that contained dragons or maidens, but only one was a match to the specific description she was given. "He's going to steal a painting." she said carefully, handing the clue off to Artie to inspect. She was fairly certain that her guess was correct, but she wanted to know if he would reach the same conclusion.
Based of what Kat was feeling from Beta's aura, it was obvious that this man had the skill to invade her office without leaving even a scent. So why, then, take nothing? He had left a threat to steal the painting, but why later? Why would this illusionist give her time to figure out the answer and take action to hide the piece? "Artie, Beta, what else do you know about this man?" Her tone was calm, but her posture rigid, as if she was bracing herself for the worst when she added, "And what does he want from our town?"

Artie Hopper Artie looked at her for a moment at her comment about what she thought he would steal and looked at the card she had given him. "Slaying the dragon.... hmmm... I believe it's the painting: [Saint George Killing the Dragon, 1434/35, by Martorell]... After all, Saint George is a person who saved a maiden by killing an evil dragon with the spear Ascalon... or so they say at least." He said as he said the name before gazing at her. "I didn't know you had the original painting." He said with a clear look of surprise. He blinked a bit at her next two questions and fell silent. "I'll be honest, I am a fan of Illusionist, this person is a magician, Las Vegas kind not the magical kind, who loves showing magic tricks to people. So, for him, his heists are no different than a magic show. He craves the attention and even wears an all white tuxedo, being as flamboyant as possible. If anything, he wants to entertain people, and he wants to steal things that get his interest." He paused for a moment to let her take in the information before continuing, "Even hiding things he was planning to go after is useless, he always finds them and steals them anyway, he looks forward to a challenge just so that he can beat it with a smirk on his face as he disappears into the night with his prize. He can even tell the real deal apart from a fake should people try to trick him. As far as I know, he has never killed a person at any point. He is probably as smart as me, but much cleverer in how he uses his knowledge and skills. But, that's all I really know about him." He finished as he put hand on his chin before giving the card back to Katrina. That was all he really knew about this man based on videos that he had seen online and such.

Listening to Artie's conclusion as to which painting was being refered to, Katrina could almost feel the cor drain from her face. The painting in question was a favorite of her's, and up until this afternoon she had been proud to see it displayed in the townhall. Now, she wished it had been kept somewhere else, secret and safe. Granted, then it would be a piece of art left unseen, and she knew that would just be a shame. As Artie answered her questions, Kat was given an idea. The more he spoke of the Illusionist, the more she was certain that this plan was her best bet. "Alright," she began, clearing her throat so that she would not need to pause again. "Based on what you tell me, I believe that we should do nothing. If the Illusionist is as flamboyant and self-assured as you say-" She motioned to the card that had been left behind as proof of this, "-Then he will want us to try and get out of this. He will want the painting moved or replaced or hidden. He wants a reaction, so we won't give him one." Katrina smiled then, almost too sweetly. This man had personally offended her by entering her office, so she would do the thing he found most annoying, even if she ached to keep that painting safe.

Artie Hopper Artie watched as he seemed to notice the color drained from her face as she started to think. He remained silent as she thought before perking up a bit at her seeming to have an idea of what to do. He listened thoughtfully till the end before remaining silent as he thought best to make his reply, "Umm... unfortunately, that has been tried a few times, only for it to end in failure. He even went on to make a comment saying that he wished it was this easy every time as he laughed, calling them idiots for not at least trying. And this man... he will make sure there is a crowd here tomorrow night, all excited in anticipation for the magic show. And since there will be crowd, his favorite saying will apply: 'As a Phantom Thief, I am an extraordinary illusionist. Whether I achieve my objective or not, as long as people desire it, the show will go on.'" Artie replied with his honest opinion about Kat's poor plan along with a quote that is often said by Illusionist. "In short, it won't make him annoyed, if anything, he'll just taunt you even more and make him think less of you, and he'll still steal the painting." He added, stating the repercussions if she really didn't do anything at all.

Katrina had never been an overly prideful woman. All her life, she had known exactly what others thought, so when it came to their conclusions of her, she rarely worried over it. "I understand what you're saying-" She told Artie once he had finished speaking, her tone lending a "but," to the sentence, making it clear that she had more to add. "You've told me that he will find the painting anyway. I would rather not waste our time and hopes trying to ship one painting off." There was just so much more she had to stress over. If Artie was correct in that this man was nothing more than a flamboyant prankster, she would leave him to his games, for now. "It may not annoy him, this time, but I think that doing exactly what he wants would only encourage worse behaviour." Her logic seemed sound, after all it was a simple trick that most people used against bullies; at the very least, it had worked for her growing up.
A few more moments passed as she thought, her gaze focused on the hallways outside of her office. It would be a shame to lose the painting, and even more annoying to have it stolen in front of a crowd. What if the mayor heard of her plan? There was no way it would be encouraged.
Sighing, Kat looked back to Artie and Beta. She was going to take a large step in trusting them, and for a perfectionist like herself, it took a lot to ask what she was about to. "I would like you to do what you think is best in this situation. I need to return to work on my current assignment, and this Illusionist is going to remain a problem unless a plan is agreed upon now. So, what would you suggest?"

Artie Hopper Artie became silent as he listened to Katrina speak, noticing that she had an oncoming point. He couldn't help but agree that it would be a waste of time shipping it off, which he nodded to. He had a slight complicated expression when she said that it might not annoy him, but that doing exactly what he wanted would only encourage worse behaviour. "Umm.. about that, as I said that it was tried before, correct? Well, it was tried nine times in a row in an exact attempt you are most likely thinking about that would work against bullies, if I'm not mistaken. You can't apply common sense to this person like that. His shows, during the span of those nine attempts, got crazier and flashier every time with him getting bolder and bolder. He will do his utmost best to annoy and possibly humiliate to make you have no choice but to react." He replied and paused for a moment and pulled out his smart phone. He messed around with it and went to videos and started showing her nine cut together videos, only showing the more important parts, of Illusionist's heists during the time when they tried to ignore him. How Artie got these videos was left better unasked. The videos showed some of Illusionist's amazing magic and how his pranks got sillier and more bold the more they tried to ignore him, Illusionist's grin was big and his laugh hearty in every one. In the final one, all of riches the person ignoring him had were finally taken in one great heist and he was left with nothing. After showing the videos, he put the phone back in his pocket. "As I said, ignoring him isn't the best thing to do... As for a plan... I am not really sure. This is the first time my wolves were unable to get a scent, it even makes me wonder how he is pulling this off." He added as he put a hand on his chin in thought.

Katrina was willing to remain quiet as Artie advised her against her idea, although she did feel an oncoming headache as their problem was ultimately left unresolved. The videos she was shown was enough to at least give her an image of this man, and notably, his assistant, but she still had no clue as to what they were going to do. It was clear that the Illusionist was a professional at took pride in his work. He was a robber and a cheater, but clearly he enjoyed being such. Watching his work online was not improving her mood, and she wondered idly if it was possible to hate someone on sight. The emotion caught her off guard, and Katrina was forced to sit down. Usually, she kept an extremely level head, so that she could manage the barrage of thoughts always threatening to be heard. However, she was clearly feeling weaker than usual, which was never a good sign. She had been so caught up in her worry and stress that she had ignored the few warning signs of what she was sure to come; a vision.
"Artie, pass me the waste basket." She said quietly, one hand pointing to the object on the floor. Once it was given to her, she clutched the basket tightly, praying that she wouldn't need to use it after all. Within a few seconds however, that would be the last thing she was worried about.
Releasing the basket to let it clatter back on the floor, Katrina did her best to stifle a yelp of pain. Her hands covered her eyes and forehead as she doubled over, immensley glad that she was already sitting. It was an agonizing feeling, as if the vision was going to cut through her skull, but she knew how to endeur it. The sooner she allowed to see whatever wanted to be seen, the sooner it would be over.
Corpses everywhere...moving, fighting, alive. Reanimated limbs and bones, all targeting a man. He was tall, had silver hair...Amos. She focused on him, wanting to make sure that when this vision ended, she would not forget he was in danger. It seemed as if this vision was meant to be about him, although Kat struggled to see who was behind this horrific magic. A name, Lily, and a laugh, but no face to see. Only the dead, crawling. Contorted bodies rose and continued to fight, seemingly unaware that they were taken from death. The sight was terrifying; she could almost smell the stench of the dead and feel their eyeless sockets trained on her. The feeling of being among those creatures caused a chill to run down her back, and so when the vision began to ebb away, Kat made no move to hang on. Even after the vision had left her mind completely, she kept her eyes closed. The light would only increase the pounding, and it was taking all of her will not to vomit.
After a few minutes, she leaned back in her chair, almost crying at the pain of her strained muscles. Eventually, she spoke, her eyelid barely cracked as she tried to adjust her eyesight. "I need to go find someone." She stood slowly, fighting off the sensation of vertigo as she continued to speak. "I need you to handle the painting...I've got to warn–" It seemed her body didn't care what Katrina needed to do, because that was when she fainted.

Artie Hopper Artie could already see the stress on Katrina's face as she watched the videos as she sat down. He blinked a bit at her request for the waste basket and nodded as he gave it over to her. He watched as she clutched it tight for a moment for releasing it and letting it clatter onto the floor as her hands covered her eyes as she doubled over, "K-Kat are you alright!?" He asked quickly as went over to her, but was unsure of what to do. Eventually, she spoke out saying that she needed to find someone as she stood up. "W-Wait.." He tried to stop her from going after she told him to handle the painting, but before she could leave, she fainted. "Kat!" He said quickly, and then quickly got some help. Within a few minutes, he and a few others carried her over to the infirmary of the town hall and had her laying down on the bed in there with the nurse checking up on Kat. It seemed that things like this happened every once in a while, and that she would be fine soon enough. Sighing a bit, now relieved, Artie started to do a mass research on Illusionist, maybe he would find something that would be related, no matter how small during the time he sat on the nearby chair in the infirmary waiting for Kat to wake up. After about an hour, he noticed something odd about something that seemed to happen exactly two days after every heist, happening every time since the beginning without fail. "...A connection?" He muttered in wonder as he did more research.

Her head still pounding, Katrina awoke in the infirmary over an hour later. She stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, adjusting to the amount of light in the room as she blinked slowly. There were a barrage of thoughts trying to enter her mind, too many to focus on any individual person. It hurt like hell, and she squeezed her eyes shut to prevent any shouts of pain. Over the course of several minutes however, she managed to get ahold of her ability, placing her mental barriers back into place. The act gave her a second of calm, before she recalled the vision of Lily and the brewing trouble with the man called the Illusionist. Without any more preperation, Kat sat up, absently pushing her hair away from her face with a grimace. Her back felt sore, and she knew that her appearance had to be less than pristine after such a strong vision. Nontheless, when she spotted Artie in the corner, she smiled. "Hey." she said lightly, wincing as she realized how hoarse her voice sounded. Looking to her side, she was pleased to find a pitcher and glass of water; it seemed the nurses remembered the effects of her last vision. After gulping water for a moment, she looked back to Artie as she asked, "Have you been here the whole time? That had to be boring." She laughed very slightly, still feeling ill if she shifted too much at one time. Still, he seemed to have kept busy, as his aura felt full of curiosity.

Artie Hopper Artie was so focused on his laptop that he didn't even notice when Kat had finally woken up and the few minutes after. He had finally found a connection to the Illusionist and he was working very hard to find out everything that he could with this connection. It wasn't until Kat greeted him and asked if he had been there the whole time, "A..c-connection... I found a connection to Illusionist!" Was what he replied with as he grinned a bit and continued to speak before Kat could ask, "I was searching with rather broad criteria, but I managed to find something." He started as he turned his laptop so the screen face Kat. On the display was a picture of an orphanage, "This orphanage, every time Illusionist stole something from the beginning of his thieving to the most recent one, two days after, this orphanage would get a sum of money from an anonymous benefactor. Normally this would just be coincidence, but some times Illusionist stole more than once per week or month, but two days after every theft there was a donation." He explained as he looked at Kat.

Excitement was clear on Artie's face, so obviously that she didn't need to read his aura to see that he had made a huge discovery. So instead of responding right away, she listened to him, soaking up the information. Despite her pounding headache, this news made Katrina smile, her voice lightened as she told him, "Great work Artie! Where is this orphanage?" She was hoping that it was nearby, maybe close enough to visit within the next day. If it was further away however, they would need to make plans and suffer through the Illusionist's "show" tomorrow.
