Haru Does it really matter what sex I am... Haru looked over at the books that had fallen under the desk then up at the two people who were at the table. They didn't seem to notice them so she gave a silent sigh of relief. Then she started slowly moving towards the table. Please don't notice me. Please don't notice me. she thought repeatedly in her head as she silently crawled forward. Almost there.Just a bit closer and I should be able to grab them she thought looking at the books. She reached out her hand and was able to grab on of the books. She quickly moved it back towards her and gripped it in one of her hands as the other hand went for the next book.
After all we are all just humans.

*** Tristan Lockheart *** ----====****====---- Tristan was trying to fathom what had just happened. His heart began to spasm out of control, creating mini-earthquakes underneath his hands. Hyper ventilation kicked in as he stood stick still trying to devise someway out of this horribly embarrassing situation. He shook his head in contempt; it was futile. He took a small leap towards the table where the books had slid and postured about, creating the optimal position for stealth. While he might have imagined himself as a "ninja", to the public, he looked rather ridiculous. Especially to the librarian, as she simultaneously placed a palm toward her forehead while shaking her head in shock. Tristan cared not; he was on a mission, with the simple objective of recovering the lost goods. Alex seemed to be conversing a storm above him which gave Tristan adequate white noise to move about for his quest items. He exhaled with relief, almost giddy with excitement; in a twisted way, this was the most fun he had ever had. His piercing eyes were dead fixed on the landscape in front of him with no attention garnered toward the pole his knee was about to collide into. There was a slight bump in the table followed by a high-pitched whelp. Tristan immediately bite down his lips, hoping to escape detection. Tears began to swell near his ducts as he felt the pulsating throb of his right knee. It radiated outward like an S.O.S signal; he needed to push through. No more slip ups. Tristan took a brief minute to analyze the words atop the table to see if he had been had, but it appeared that he was still in the clear. The word "Ali" resonated in his ears. Wait, it couldn't be. His heart began to race again, and not in the good way. He just realized that a girl was sitting at the table; how could he have forgotten that Alex was talking to her? And Ali. He thought back to where he had heard that name before, and it hit him like a solid brick wall, stopping his breath all together. It was Alicia; of all the girls that had to be sitting at the table, it was her. Fate was playing a cruel, cruel trick on Tristan, and he didn't find it particularly amusing in the slightest.
To top it off, the books he finally spotted were underneath Alicia's foot. This could not get any worse. The idea of panic was an understatement; he wasn't exactly sure what to do, and it was too late to pull out now. He needed to get the books. His grade depended on it. Tristan took a gulp that felt like the entire Sahara Desert pouring down his lungs. Inch by antagonizing inch, he crept his way toward Alicia, face completely flustered. He felt so dirty sneaking up on an innocent girl like this. That's it; if he closed his eyes, then there would be no problem. With a delighted smile, Tristan slammed his eyes down and continued the straight and narrow path toward his destination. He must have veered slightly off because he stubbed his left thumb into another of the table's ruthless poles. Another whelp escaped his lips before his teeth found their mark. He was done for; if they hadn't heard the first cry, surely they had heard the second. His watery eyes jutted opened as he delicately extended his hand toward the book. Tristan slowly began to lean forward to gain leverage but ultimately threw himself off balance as his hand landed on her ankle.Tristan's face exploded in various hues of red; what was he thinking? This was absolutely unacceptable. Trying to reign in the chaos within, he gently flowed his hand down the ankle and onto the books. With a firm grip, he slowly began to pull the books until his entire body finally ceased motion. An idea popped into his brain; he needed to find a substitute for the books, or Alicia would surely know that he had been up to no good. He calmly leaned to one side, placed his right elbow on the ground for support, and dug through his left pants pocket for something resembling two text books. All he had was two rolls of quarters; nothing else. His mind flashed again; this was perfect. Standing up, the quarters are similar in height to the two textbooks. He clinched the two rolls of quarters in his left hand with a grip he would stake his life on. The timing had to be impeccably flawless. With one quick motion, he interchanged the two objects, hugging the textbooks like a long-lost friend. Tristan let his nerves die down, and crawled his way directly opposite of Alex towards the nearest shelf. He didn't expect to be spotted, because he left right behind Alicia, who gave him enough cover to make it to the shelf, or so he hoped anyway. Once free, Tristan lay still, collecting his thoughts. Being that close to a girl might have traumatically altered him in a more negative way than he already was. Tristan wasn't for sure if he could ever look upon Alicia the same way without visualizing her ankle. With a jolting shake, he snapped his mind out of thought. The main goal was....he escaped. With the books. That's all the mattered.

 ⊰⊰⊰ Αℓiciɑ Viℓℓɑr∂є ⊱⊱⊱❝Truth will always be truth...❞Alicia didn't mind that Alex called her by her shortened name, just about everyone called her by her nickname except for a few others."Well I usually I would be, but I had to get a few books for classes and such."She explained still with a nice, natural smile."Then I saw you and I thought I'd talk with you. What about you? From what I've heard as of recently you're friends are holding a party. I would imagine you'd be with them talking about it, instead of here."She explained, though she seemed rather indulged in the conversation with Alex. Alicia really wasn't too interested, she was still curious what Tristan was going to do about his books. Until she felt his hand suddenly on her ankle, it startled it but she tried not to show it. Just in case Alex saw.❝...Regardless of lack of understanding, disbelief or ignorance.❞ {Out.Of.Care:Sorry everyone, I've been trying to make a post on here for ages. But due to computer problems and other things happening in my life, I haven't been able to get to it. Not sure if everyone is still around on gaia or if you all even want to keep going with this rp but hopefully you all are.Also sorry if my post is rather short or not very good. }

Haru Does it really matter what sex I am... Haru pulled her hand back before she could grab onto the second book. She quietly backed out from under the table giving silent prayers that her and Tristan wouldn't be spotted. She held on tightly to the book she had gotten and gave a quick glance down at Kipat who was still in her shirt pocket. Backing away a bit from the table she ended up near some shelves and sat down, pretending to be looking for a book on the lower shelves. She placed the biology book she had grabbed on top of the books she had gotten for herself. She cast a quick glance over at Tristan to see how he was doing before turning her attention back to the shelf not wanting Alica or the boy to think she was staring at them. We can just go study....we... we don't really need the books...right? she thought to herself thoughts racing through her head. If Tristan failed to get the remaining books and the attention turned onto them, Haru had plans ready to grab Tristan and go. She probably would have been gone by now had she not said that she would help Tristan. There weren't many people in this school that would talk to her, she was lower class, awkward, and most people couldn't tell if she was a 'she' or a 'he', which tended to make people hesitate quite a bit. After all we are all just humans. (I would LOVE to continue this 4laugh )

MADE FOR PUP720 A small noise and the sound of shuffling from under the table caught Alex's attention. Stilling in his movements, he narrowed his eyes and gave Alicia a questioning look. Placing one hand flat on the tabletop, he ducked his head to peek down toward the floor. Before he could investigate the source of the noise, Alicia quickly replied to his question and smiled, causing him to stop and sit up again. While he wasn't the nicest guy around, he certainly had manners and knew to look at someone when talking to them. Besides, the sound from under the table was probably just Alicia kicking her feet around or something, and maybe her shoe squeaked against the table leg.
"Well I usually would be, but I had to get a few books for classes and such. Then I saw you and I thought I'd talk with you. What about you? From what I've heard as of recently your friends are holding a party. I would imagine you'd be with them talking about it, instead of here," Alicia had said.
Alex let out an airy laugh and shook his head in response. "Yeah, one of the guys invited me along to that party at Jacobson's house," he said, referring to a well-known senior by his last name. Craig Jacobson was a popular jock who was especially known for his wild parties that he liked to throw from time to time. The people he invited to these parties were usually those of the upper-class, because they could supply all sorts of alcohol and drugs. "As usual, I was asked to supply the beer kegs but I said no. I mean, why the ******** should I supply them when I'm not even going?" He took a swig of his drink. "I'm here because I need to study, which is the same reason I have for not going to the party." Alex sighed before resting his head in his palms, looking up at the girl before him. "How 'bout you, sweetheart? You've got cash, I'm sure. Weren't you invited?"[O O C: hello again, everyone! ]
