Rip Van Winkle (from Hellsing) was mention by a commrade of her's on the war ship and he is a vampire, he says "Ve're now numbered among the monsters. But before them, ve must look like mere rookies. They are the verevolves. The Varmongers."
he is talking about Rip Van-who at this point in the mange is out side the ship on a "bright, sunny, unpleasant day" with an unbrellia and her musket while keeping a watch on the time of a goofy clock. if she were a vamp, woulnt the sun hurt her? and dont say its because she has an unbrellia-it only covers head and upper back!

One more point that I do not bring up in this thread:

No-where in Hellsing does it mention a deadly allergy to sunlight (sans synthetic, which I doubt Rip Van is) in Hellsing. Walter jokes about it. In fact, it was not until the 1922(I think 1922) film, Nosferatu: Symphony of the Night that European Vampires were allergic to sunlight.

And, for the most part, Hirano uses Bram Stoker's laws, which state (roughly) "Despite common superstition, vampires can go out in sunlight, although it is their unnatural time. However, his powers will be dimminished, and he will be stuck in his current form."

What about the whole attack scene then? The BG looks like the destruction caused thick enough smoke to blot out the sun completely, or it was night by the time Alucard arrived.

Being someone who likes werewolves a lot I have a couple questions. I'd like to stte that i'm new to hellsing so please fogive the ignorance. Can I see a pic of the guy who's a werewolf when he's a human? And also does he only appear in the manga or is he in the Anime too?

...I think it's easy to assume that Schrödinger is a werewolf largely because of his ears (which actually are cat ears) and possibly the way that he appears to act around Captain Gunsche (for some reason, to me, they seemed to have a different relationship than Schrödinger did with Dok or der Major....not nessicarily romantic, but a very different...almost brotherly relationship. However, this may just be referencing the National Socialist ideal of unity...but I'm not sure. o__o;; )
Yes, I think that Kohta said something about Schrödinger being a "neko". You can kind of guess that, too, based just on the way that he's illustrated. He's depicted as rather feminine, almost feline, and just his actions and body language suggest being somewhat feline. However, I actually think it's rather smart...I remember reading something about the "wehrwolf" (sp, yes, I know...my spelling is terrible) group...weren't some/a lot of them older members of the HJ (Hitlerjugend)? I mean...Schrödinger could be a wehrwolf in the sense of being an HJ wehrwolf (if you research/look it up, Schrödinger's outfit is the same that was worn by Hitlerjugend members). So, Schrödinger is probably a Hitlerjugend wehrwolf, not a half-human half-canine werewolf.

...I don't think Lt. Blitz is a werewolf or a vampire. She seems to me to be something else entirely...but I think there may be a chance that she's a vampire...I suppose, it just seems to me to not be very likely.
