I just really think that the tattoo is the secret to flame alchemy. Before her dad died, Hawkeye-sensei told Roy that his daughter knew all his research. I also think that unless Arakawa didn't show us this, Roy doesn't even know about the tattoo. Probably after he died, they didn't much of eachother because, he didn't even know she was in Ishval until she saved him. And if that tattoo really is the secret to his alchemy and he hasn't seen it, then I can only assume that Roy isn't at his full potential with his alchemy yet. But I would like to know how she got those scars...

O.O WWWAAAHHH!!! The beginning is sad!! It starts basically with Riza and Roy at Riza's father's grave... we know that her mother was long time dead and she doesn't have relatives. Then it goes to the Ishbalan war and it's kinda sad... I wish Kimbley would shut up. -.- Then Armstrong breaks down and the Iron Blood Alchemist comes onto the scene and yadayada the leader of Ishbal was willing to sacrifice his life for his countries and the Fuhrer said no yada yada sadness.
Roy doesn't know about the tattoo... she does say when he talks about his dream, she says 'That dream... can I intrust my back to it?'
AND... her father left his secrets in code that no ordinary alchemist would decipher... and Roy asked if they were in manuscripts... I MUST READ THE NEXT CHAPTER!

Yeah... so obviously the tattoo is somehow the code to the notes and secrets of her father, and that's what he meant with 'I left all my secrets in my daughter' or something like that. Fwee! Actually do you think Kimbly had something to do w/ getting Scar to kill the Rockbells? He wants them dead. Also why couldn't people tell the Furher was corrupted? He had a chance to end the war and he didn't.

Hmm... I looked 'Riza Hawkeye' up on wikipedia, and this came up under her name in the manga area: 'In Chapter 57 (Scars of Ishbal), Riza was revealed to have a strange marking on her back after taking a shower, similar to the transmutation circle on Mustang's gloves, which is partially distorted by a large burn. Upon enlarging the image, the latin 'Libera me' and 'Domine' (meaning 'free me' and 'master' respectively) can be seen in the top row. These are the beginning words of the last part of a standard structure requiem, thus putting forward the theory that the words inscribed is in fact the standard lyrics of a Requiem. However, Hiromu Arakawa has stated that Christianity does not exist in the Fullmetal world, and therefore the Latin used may not serve any purpose in explaining the meaning of this marking.' The lyrics to the Requiem is here... strange. Although Arawaka-sensei said it doesn't explain it, it's sort of interesting...

Off topic arrow Now, the whole deal with the homonculus, Greed was transfered to Ling after the original "Greed" was destroyed, so doesn't that mean that Lust will be moved to another person?
