Clay was wondering why a captain would be so on the defensive. that chuckle she did though made him smile a little.

Since Clay was blind in his left eye, it would only make sense that he would be so forward with his right arm and sword, his hearing was what helped clay make up for the loss in his left eye.

He had to keep the pressure on her to stall whatever plan she had, he switched up his attack pattern to increasing his arm speed and make a flurry of jabs at her, nothing around the face or chest, mainly aiming towards her shoulders, arms and stomach. Last thing the captain needed was to think he was either a pervert or a cheap fighter.

As she remained on the defensive, Shu began to notice a rather interesting blind spot with his technique. He seemed to focus primarily with his right arm when it came to attacks. Nomally this wouldn't be so much of a problem with some fighters, but her seemed to attack only with his right arm and his right eye facing her. "Could the rumors be true?"

Shu was curious, but focused on the task ahead, as she used her bokken to block his flurry of jabs at her, as she still remained on the defensive.

This constant defensive was starting to worry Clay, he took a jump back. He wasn't sure why that she was taking so highly on defensive, but if she truly wanted to hit him, she would have by now.

Clays mind was racing, then something hit him. She's been studying my moves, trying to find a clear weakness and make the move to hit me swift and accurate, perhaps changing things up a bit would throw her off.

He broke the sword in half with his knee, taking the pointed end in his right and the broken blunted end in his left, he was hoping the switch up would make her change her strategy, he went on the offensive again but focused more on brute strength to try and pin her down.

Shu was taken back by seeing the fifth seat break his bokken into two. She raised an eyebrow in confusion, but smirked as she saw that he broke his sword. Her new tactic was messing with his head, as she couldn't help by smile.

She grinned as she decided to take things up one step up, As she moved in immediately, she swung her sword immediately towards the broken half he held with his left hand, as she intended to hit him hard with her sheer force to knock the bokken out of his hand.

His guess was right on the money, she was trying to exploit his blind eye. He brought up both his halves to block the strike, but the force of the swing was enough to send Clay sliding right into the wall, his large frame made a dent in the wall and Clay fell on his butt having the wind knocked right out of him. Comically the wall mounted weapons rack used for the practice swords all fell on him

"I think you won that sparing match..hhahhaha" he was in good sport of it all

xxxSuke arrived by the back way just in time to see the end of the sparring match. He whistled before looking at Shu. "Haven't lost your touch I see." He said as he walked over to her before indicating the figure against the wall. "I see you have yourself a new recruit as well." He said as he looked her over. "You mind doing me a favor and patching my new Third seat up? He overdid it and caused his arm to bust open and bleed." He explained as he glanced back to make sure Locke had kept up.

Locke came in and took in what happen, from what he could tell this western style dressing person covered in wooden swords that looks like they fell on him, the dent and the skid marks on the floor told the story, but back to the business at hand

"Hey...I'm Locke..sorry to bug you about this, had a match with Suke and busted my arms up, if its to much trouble I think i can find some rubbing alcohol and bandages, thats what usually does it for my wounds"

Although from the naked eye it would look like a small tear, but Shu's medical training knew at first glance he had torn muscles, something no simple patch up job could fix. People with such an injury would be in a lot of pain, but locke is shrugging it off like its nothing

Clay got himself cleaned up "Is there anything I can fetch for you Ma-am?" he said in a relaxed but friendly tone.

As Shu went to finish this spar, she couldn't help but realize that she was using far too much power for her fifth seat to handle, as he went flying across the room, crashing her collection of bokken on top of her subordinate. She chuckled as she saw the fifth seat take this all in good spirits. Shu walked over to her subordinate and helped him up, as she smiled and patted him on the back. "Nice job there Clay. I can tell you learned well during your training. Let's hope that confidence of yours doesn't break on the battlefield."

Chuckling, Shu suddenly noticed the arrival of two new comers to her quarters. "Wonder who it could be?" She turned and noticed it was Suke along with one of his subordinates, who seemed hurt from a spar. "Jeez/ What did you guys train with, your zanpakutos? I thought I told you captain to start training with bokken instead of zanpakutos! We're going to have to start charging the Eleventh Division for medical assistance at the rate you're all getting hurt!"

Speaking in a playful tone, Shu was only kidding when she said her remark. She didn't mind helping those who needed medical assistance, and she welcomed anyone with open arms to her division. "Hmm, let's have a look Locke." Smiling, she gave off a warm and gentle vibe as she spoke with a tone that was gentle and kind, as she wanted the man to trust her as she checked to see the extent of his injuries. She smiled as she saw that his wounds weren't much of a problem for her.

"No, I believe this will be a simple healing job for me." Smiling she simply snapped her fingers four times, as four small dots appeared around Locke's wounds. Suddenly without warning, he was surrounded by a bright blue aura, as his wounds were all being healed. This process took Shu roughly thirty-seven seconds to complete, as she smiled and looked at Suke. "Well, he should be fine now. Is there anything else you need from me?"

Clay was glad to get a compliment from his captain

"Well thank ya kindly ma-am, and you can count on me when it comes to the battle field...I lost to many on my watch to let this new training let another one fall when I'm around."

He said in a confident tone, but he didn't want his words to show that on the battle field, Clay will become as cold as ice when his life or any others are on the line, will take a life just as easily as save one when confronting an enemy

"Thank you very much Shu" he said happily as he was greeted with such a warm welcome, as the time went by with healing his wounds, Locke just stood patiently as he was treated. When he was back up to full strength he was back to his old self

"Hahahaha awesome! Now I can get back fighting again!! Man I'm fired up again! Say here's an idea, what was your name..Clay...would you be up for a round, sorry but I only use Soul Slayers, no point training if it isnt the real deal! So what do you say?!" Locke was fired up again, he never was one to sit around and do nothing, only when his body couldn't take anymore training would he rest.

Clay was suprised that the newly fixed up man had such vigor in him, usually people take it easy when they get healed, but this man straight up challenged him to a fight using soul slayers

"Well i highly dough using the Captains quarters would be allowed for a fight of that magnitude...unless
Captain Shu allows it." he looked at her wondering what she would say

xxxSuke listened to Shu before smiling to himself. She was a fine woman indeed. He was about to respond to her question when he heard his third seat pipe up and sighed before walking over and firmly shaking his head. "No Locke. You will have plenty of time for that later. Besides I can't have you hurting one of our important assets." He said firmly placing a hand on his shoulder. "Sorry about that Shu. He's a true Eleventh member alright. Always ready to fight." He said with a small grin. He looked at Shu before turning his attention back to Locke. "How about you head on back to the division. I've got to go find my brother and let him know about you. Maybe he'll finally get on back. He's been gone quite a while from what Ai told me when I got back yesterday." He said as he let go of Locke's shoulder and gave him a gentle nudge in the direction of their division. Truth was he wanted them to leave so he could talk to Shu. He didn't want to mention anything about her drinking yesterday in front of the new members of their divisions.

"Oh...sorry lieutenant..ya guess your right..." He settled down once he heard how serious Suke was, but when he heard to head back to 11 squad area he was thankful he wasn't in trouble and decided to follow his order

"Sure Suke, maybe later we can talk over some drinks, first round is on me. Thanks again Shu for the medical attention, hope to catch you around Clay, maybe we can have that spar another time" Locke took his leave and headed back to the Dojo [Locke exit]

"Man that kid sure is an antsy one isn't he, but if you two want to want to speak alone, I don't mind taking a look 'round seein' who needs help with anything"

Clay could tell these two had history they way they spoke with each other so friendly, and clay was the new guy so dought if they wanted to talk that they wanted a third set of ears listening in

What amount of time that it must have taken to travel from the Underground Hospital Complex to the quarters of Captain Shu Fēng Hiroshi-Shibusa- or any other location within the Fourth Division or further, for that matter- was beyond both the ignorant and logical mindsets of Sagishi. The entirety of the schematics of the Squadron were only acknowledged as something inefficient by the male, and quite honestly, it was the same for the remainder of the realm- the Rukongai and Seireitei-, as well as, arguably, the World of the Living. Transportation simply was not a convenience, and this was a detail that the Sword would not cease to pay mind to. His daily desires asked of nothing more than physical simplicity, allowing for a more vast access to mental activity. One could have potentially argued that investing a longer duration of travel would provide a larger available time frame for contemplation and thought, however with the impatience of someone such as Sagishi, the mere act of locomotion would distract the mind in nearly every entirety. In an average scenario that did not demand effort, the male preferred to be as potentially close to stationary for the longest possible duration. Physical endeavour was certainly not his most honed trait, however it was to be easily placed on an equilibrium when the factor of his intellect would be included. If need be, his amount of durability and endurance were decent enough. However, his nearly omnipresent apathy often prevented the intention to do anything beyond what was absolutely necessary. That was only, of course, what it is that he classifies as "necessary". His own opinions had a tendency of being the only ones that mattered. Chances were often, though, that these were to be beyond supported by an unrelenting amount of logical reason. It was likely that, in time, an inquiry would be made in regards to the schematics of the Fourth Division, or with some creativity, an invention that made travel less a waste of time. If, of course, the desire was potent enough.
Still not fond of the fact that he'd only just awoken from his drunken stupor, it seemed a miracle that he bothered to make the unending trek. It was not his intentions to leave the recovery room with such haste, and, in an entire honesty, it could have been admitted that there existed nothing that was earnestly forcing the expedition. The comfort of the Underground Hospital Complex was easily renowned; it was designed to treat patients. This simply meant that it must be suitable to every person's own personal desires. Nonetheless, even with the presence of this pleasant relaxation, Sagishi knew well that he could have avoided easily the acceptance of Shu's invitation- or rather, her command- however, its rareness did strike his intrigue, and with decently valid justification. That was, valid enough to interest the male, which beyond spoke words enough. There was, however, rationale behind this effect. It was not often that the presence of any such member within the Division would be requested in such a personal and serious manner, without reasoning intensive enough to be important to a figure as capable as the Captain of a Squadron. In most cases, a Lieutenant would be attasked the deed of conversation, especially due to the business of a commander [even in a duration when not amidst the affliction of wartime]. This was simply the nature of the majority of the Gotei 13, evidently not excluding its medical department within the Fourth. Having already pondered the matter, it was unlikely that the Sword's person was being requested simply due to his previous endeavours within the library. Shu knew well Sagishi's behaviour, and also being aware of her, the male had learned long ago that it was not in her common disposition to scold such an act with such severity as might have been implied. However, reality was not so stable to never encounter something unorthodox within its confines. Nonetheless, the analytical perception of the Englishman provided its own solutions in regards to the quandary at hand.

Now approaching closer Shu's quarters, Sagishi inevitably sighed once more, with the thought of why it was that the female chose this desolate location as her homely abode dwelling within the most external depths of his mind. This was only, however, viewed relative to its actual efficiency in regards to, not placement, but convenience. Severely separated from the entirety of the Fourth Division, the small building was to be found in the confines of heavily forested land, to only be partially seen as a result of its organic and seemingly unattended cover. In actuality, it had potential for secrecy. Though, due to the fact that its location was known to nearly- if not every- member of the Fourth Division, the mere prospect was beyond evidently impractical. Perhaps its design was only intended to test the patience of those who desired to travel to it. Surely, some might become overly bored or exhausted by the trek that they would simply cease the intention in entirety. On the other hand, it was most likely this way for the pleasure of Captain Hiroshi. This initially being, of course, Sagishi's brother-in-law, Jousake. Due to her personality and traits, however, it would be a very miniscule surprise to discover a certain Shu Fēng Hiroshi-Shibusa finding appreciation as a result of the natural environment. It appeared that the only manner in which the house could become more one with the territory would be for it to literally take the forme of a tree. Seeing as it was entirely comprised of wood, it was not far from this feat.
Now listening to his own audible footsteps against the wood of the covered bridge as he finally became nearer the actual residence, Sagishi began sensing the presence of Reiryoku beyond the singular Shu. It seemed that either the Sword's presence was not as dire as had been initially implied, or the Captain had received unexpected company. From what it was that he could infer, there were three others present: one of which appeared to be a Captain whose name the sensor could not currently recall; another seemed to be a Suke Haruko, the brother of Ai Haruko, a newly appointed member of the Fourth Division; the third was not a person of whom the male recognised, though one of whom would soon be analysed. Considering the environment, Sagishi pondered for the duration of a moment. The disgruntled atmosphere made it evident that a spar had recently taken place, and as it seemed, it was between Shu and this apparent newcomer. It was unlikely that another Squad member would simply inquire a duel with the Captain of the Fourth Division, and the fact that the character's Reiryoku was slowly becoming fuller in potency, the conclusion was brought forward that this person must be a new recruit. It was certainly interesting, what events could pass in such seemingly miniscule time. Perhaps the distance between the quarters and the Underground Hospital Complex was far more than initially calculated. This was all the more reason to be bothered by the supposed "necessary" travel.
Having finalised his surmise, Sagishi approached the two doors that allowed access to the innermost rooms of the household. With nothing more than a gentle wave of the arm, the entrance in his wake slid open with much evident ease. As it appeared, beyond Shu, there were only two visible persons. The first that was noticed proving the male's calculations correct, being a relative of Ai. The other that was present was the anonymous character. The Sword need not make any gesture further than a mere glance to determine that his assumptions were the truth. Stepping forward with his foot, he entered the immediate room. Allowing his relaxed gaze to shift the environment, Sagishi glanced initially at Suke, then slightly more towards the direction of the newcomer, and finally at Shu. "You requested my presence," he stated rather bluntly, though still with his casualness reflected in the purposely falsified tone of business. The words, nonetheless, rolled smoothly off of his tongue, with moderate variation against the general dialect of most, as a result of the British received pronunciation accent that he had been adorned with upon aging. Upon speaking, the male found the nearest wall, only further impressing his relaxation, resting the entirety of his body weight against its surface.

[[OOC: I live, or so I am leading you to believe.]]

Shu smiled at the enthusiastic third seat. "Please! It was really nothing!" In all honestly, Shu enjoyed her job as Captain of the Fourth Division, and healing others was something she enjoyed, as it was honestly what she loved doing. However, her smile disappeared almost immediately, as she saw the energy from this young man, as he challenged her fifth seat to a dual. She raised her eyebrow, as she wasn't surprised by the stereotypical behavior of this young lad, who was a part of the Eleventh.

She was preparing to deny these two the right to engage in a training spar with zanpakuto's, but was stopped by Suke, who calmly handled the situation. Shu was surprised, as she simply looked at him and smiled lightly. "Thanks." Smiling lightly at Suke, she looked away from the man's glance shortly, as she chuckled a bit after hearing his last remark. "No need to worry. It's nice seeing someone so enthusiastic about their division and having such drive to improve their current skills."

Smiling, she then turned and noticed the arrival of the person she finally came to call, Sagishi. "It's about time you showed up mister! I've been waiting..." Then turning over to Suke and her fifth seat, she smiled before she politely asked the two to leave. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave. I have important matters to discuss with Sagishi. Perhaps stop by another time?"

xxxSuke smiled at her as she looked away. Without much time for thinking about why, he saw another person show up. When he heard that he had to leave, he smiled sadly and nodded. "Alright Shu. Can we chat later?" He said with a smile and wave if his hand. She seemed fine. So she was most likely not hung over. Which was what he was worried about. But he was also curious. Yesterday when he had rubbed her cheek she had smiled. He was curious what that was all about. He shunpod out of there before going to find his brother.
