"Wha? My fault? How's it my fault?" Sirius replied, clearly confused.

"Okaaaaay, getting out of here kiddies! To Diagon Alley!" Novaris started ushering the kids towards what they assumed to be the front door. It suddenly opened and someone walked in. "Hey Remus! Have fun over at Tonks' place?" She asked with a sly grin and a waggle of her eyebrows.

Remus nearly tripped but he managed to gain his footing and looked at Novaris. He opened his mouth to reply but noticed the group of kids. He raised an eyebrow and looked at Sirius and Novaris. "It's about time the two of you had kids. I just wasn't expecting this many all at once."

Novaris' face turned red with embarrassment as she gaped at Remus, Sirius seemed unaffected. After regaining her composure she retorted. "Yeah, and I bet James would love a rundown of how things went with Tonks." She then grabbed Sirius and started pulling him towards the door. "You're coming with us to Diagon Alley!"

"Prongs, save me!"

Suddenly James pipped up. "You know, you two would go great together!"

And that was when Novaris tripped and landed on her stomach. She had pulled Sirius down with her and he landed on top of her. She muttered something but made no move to get up.

Novaris' hair went darker as she tried to hide her face in the floor. She mumbled something that couldn't be understood.

"What was that, love?" Sirius asked, grin still on his face.

Novaris picked her head up. "I said 'Get the bloody hell of me, Black.'"

Sirius frowned. "We're back to last names? We were making such great progress."

"And well not be on speaking terms if you don't get off." He sighed and got up, dragging Novaris to her feet with him, which caused her to raise an eyebrow and eye him like he'd grown a second head. "Riiiight, well, TO DIAGON ALLEY!" She once more began ushering the kids towards the door. Sirius shot James and Remus a look and they simply shrugged. He sighed and followed after, deciding it couldn't hurt anything.

Sirius threw his arm around Novaris' shoulders. She, surprisingly, made no attempt to shove his arm off. "You know, I don't quite understand why you don't like your first name. I think it's kind of cute."

Novaris crossed her arms as she kept watching the kids get their wands. "Because I don't like pixies."

Just as Sirius opened his mouth to say something a bunch of boxes landed on them. "Sorry!" Thana called after she had flicked her wand. She seemed to be having a somewhat difficult time with finding one.

"Divination one, hopes zero." Novaris muttered. "Olvander, why don't you try Unicorn hair instead of Dragon Heart String?"

"Oh that's an excellent idea, I was about to do that anyway!" Olivander scurried off and came back with a different box and handed it to Thana. "Try this one!"

Essanthia huffed. "Fine. But no Divination books. They're only in their first year."

Novaris slouched. "Buuuuuuuuuut buuuuuuut!" She was quiet for a moment. "Fiiiiiine." And then she pointed to the roof. "TO THE BOOKSTORE!" She shouted, earning glares from the other shoppers nearby. She led the way out of Olivander's and to the bookstore.

Upon entering she pulled out a list. "Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Herbology, aaaaaaand I think I forgot to write one down..." She stared at the paper trying to remember what she forgot. A few moments later she grinned. "Care of Magical Creatures!"

Novaris tensed slightly. Before anyone else had a chance to say anything she spoke. "Hey Buttercup, I see your hair isn't bright arse pink anymore. If you ever want your hair colored again don't hesitate to ask." She grinned, easily ignoring his glare.

"And I see you finally had kids. Decided to adopt maybe?"

"Oh yeah, you know how it is. I just love a group of kids."

Lucius sneered at her. "Gryffindor placed in Slytherin."

Novaris whistled. "They still calling me that?" She looked around and noticed that some of the kids were having trouble reaching some books. "Yeah, this chat's been fun, but we're busy. Let's do it again sometime." She bounced over to the nearest one and grabbed the book they'd been reaching for before they toppled the pile.

Essanthia glanced at Novaris and looked back at Sirius. "Look at her, she's eyeing the kids like she wants one!"

Sirius glanced over at Novaris. "She looks more like she wants to get away from them."

"Hasn't anyone ever told you that she likes to do the opposite?" Sirius raised an eyebrow at her. "If she says she's doing horribly she's actually doing fine. If she looks disgusted or horrified she might actually be entertained. Merlin knows she took drama classes just to perfect that." Essanthia muttered the last part.

"Put that down, you don't know where it's been!" Novaris squealed as Thomas held a toad up to her. When Thomas took a step closer to Novaris she took off towards Sirius and ran behind him. Thomas made to follow only for Novaris to move away from him around Sirius. "Keep that away from me!"

"Aw, see, she's playing with them!"

Novaris tapped her finger to her chin as she thought. "Well, they still need to get owls. Or cats. Don't let them get toads. But it's about-" She was cut off by her stomach grumbling loudly. "Lunch time."

Essanthia shook her head. "I swear you're a guy sometimes, what with the way you tell time using your stomach."

"Hey, I happen to like food. It helps me live. And living is nice. Very nice."

Suddenly one of the kids spoke up. "I want to get an owl before lunch!"

Novaris slouched forward a little. "But... Food!" She complained childishly. "LOOK, A HIPPOGRYFF!" She shouted as she pointed somewhere randomly. The moment the kids looked she ran off into the crowd.

Sirius watched in stunned silence as Novaris ran off. Severus looked at him, clearly annoyed. "Well? Go follow her."

Sirius blinked and then ran after Novaris. He ran all over looking for her only to find that she'd gone to the closest place, he thanked Merlin that it wasn't in Nocturn Alley. He was about to enter the shop when he noticed a guy approach her and hand her some food. He decided to watch for the moment. The guy said something, he wished he could read lips in that moment, and Novaris laughed.
