My favorite Irish based movie is "The Matchmaker" with Janeane Garofalo as a senator's assistant sent to Ireland to find his geneology. If you want something more fable based then you would have to see John Sayles wonderful, "The Secret of Roan Inish."

If you want something more fable based then you would have to see John Sayles wonderful, "The Secret of Roan Inish." Yes, I saw that one! "The Matchmaker" being the old man, who I thought was the most hilarious character in the whole film. lol

Alexander. most of the actors talk with an irih accent. Even the ones who weren't irish it was horrific. and it was set in greece or something
