Hey, I just had an idea. How about we do some audio book projects? Many radio shows do something similar, and we wouldn't have to worry about writing a script, all you'd have to do was copy writing right from the pages. And if the narrator owns the book, we would only have to write up character speaking parts.
Of course, there is the problem of the free audio perhaps taking away from book sales, but if we only did the first few chapters for people to get a taste of the book, there shouldnt be a problem. In fact, perhaps more people would want to buy the book, so that they can find out what happens in the end.
What do you all think?

That's a wonderful idea, Karasu! ^_^ There's this one particular series that I haven't read yet, but I hear a lot of hype about it. Have you heard of Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter by Laurell K. Hamilton?

No I haven't. I'll have to look into it though!
We should make a list of books we could possibly do. I vote Mirror Dreams by Catherine Webb!

What's that book about? O.o I never even heard of it. But yeah, I can only name a few books at the moment: Harry Potter, Anita Blake, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and possibly any Anne Rice book. I'll name more later since I'm reading a few other books at the moment. ^_^

That's a lot of Fantasy books yes, but what about romance novels? I have one, but I haven't read it yet since I'm currently reading Dragonlord of Mystara by Thorarinn Gunnarsson.
Actually, there's two more books I have that I really need to read: JoAnn Ross - "Southern Comforts" (Romance) Ken Follet - "The Pillars of the Earth" (Historical Fiction)
And Pillars is a very huge novel, about almost 1k pages.

Gaia keeps messing up what I'm trying to post, and it's pissing me off. stressed
Anyway, I don't really have any romance novels, but I'll stay on the look out for some good ones, maybe borrow a few from my friends, that sort of thing.
I think one of my friends has the novel version of Phantom of the Opera, that might be kind of cool to do.

Gaia's been an idiot most of the time. If you want some good romance reading, check out Virginia Henley's works at your local library. wink It's well worth it, trust me.
Hmm... I wonder if the novel version of Phantom of the Opera is any different than the one you see in musicals.

Hello, newb here, trying to contribute what I can. ^^ Karasunaki, I love the idea of doing audio books. And I love several of the reccomendations you made. I would contribute some myself, were I not feeling so very brain dead right now.
