Most of the spiders would be eradicated. Turning to piles of mush upon contact. Though many still survived. They would begin to bombard them by jumping at them...
Frederick tensed. "Come get some!" He shouted. Swinging his Mithril Great sword like the wind of steel. A flurry of attacks that would challenge even a man with six arms. He sliced through so many. It was hard to count. Green slime gushing on him as he cut through them all. Defending his partner.
The mother would crawl away. Speed was not her strong suit anyways. Though stealth was... she would drop more eggs behind the swarm. Then would crawl up into the trees again.

Rowan hid behind Frederick as he sliced through the spiders, not quite able to see what was going on through the mass of spiders. "Holy guard!" the end of her staff glowed with magic as a yellow shield expanded around them, forcing the spider babies back. She stood, keeping the shield up by holding her staff up. Then she could see the many other spiders approaching... "This won't last long, only a minute or so. What should we do?" she asked.

He looked around. Not really sure what to do. He would throw his shield on the ground. "Keep the spell on yourself." He would tell her as he stepped outside the barrier. Both hands on his sword.
The spiders we're drooling as the waited for the shield to dissipate. Though one had stepped out all on his own. All of them taking their chance. Diving towards him one after the other.
Frederick Smith was a master with his sword, but this was by far the most dangerous thing he had ever done. He would swing his sword with both hands. Cleaving through them with precision and skill. Like waves of steel perfectly cutting them open. More of their blood covering him. Though their numbers seemed limitless...

Rowan saw him go out to strike the spiders on his own. She backed away with her shield and stood a decent distance once it disappeared. She looked worriedly as she saw him slowly becoming overpowered by the spiders, she had to help. She pointed her staff at him. "Holy Cross! Tiphreth!" Those two spells would double the damage he inflicts on his target, as well as increase his strength and energy. It was a powerful combination.

He felt super powered! Red energy trailed behind his movements as he cut through them like butter. Soon he would spinning in full circles. Like whirlwind of steel. Slicing apart spiders easily. He could do this all day! "This feels great!" He cheered as he continued to deflect the barrage.
Unknowingly to them. The Queen had descended from the tree tops above the shield. To her, magical defenses we're quite common... and this was no exception. The poison would begin to ooze from her fangs as she silently lowered behind Rowan. She was helpless under her shield. Her false sense of security would fail her.

Rowan's shield had already disappeared since it only lasts for one minute. She watched him fight the spiders with amazing strength, he had the upper hand! She was so focused on the battle that she hadn't noticed the queen spider sneak above her. Rowan stood where she was. Suddenly she heard a drip fall directly beside her. Rowan turned to see it was some kind of...substance? Puzzled she looked up only to confirm it was the queen. Rowan shrieked and smacked her as hard as she could with her staff before dashing away.

The Queen would spray a webbing onto her. Pinning her to the ground. She crawled closer. Poison dripping on the ground as she prowled closer...
He had finally dispatched of the last wave when he heard the screams. He'd turn around to face The Spider Queen. He growled at her. "Hey! Over here!" He taunted as he grabbed a dagger. Throwing it into only a few of the eyes with his thick dagger.
It would stomp back in pain. Turning to face the biggest threat. It hissed at him before lunging forward for a bite with his fangs. He would jump to avoid not only being bitten, but crushed. Parrying her legs as she would pin him up against The Dragon Skull... He was backed in a corner. The spider crawling up a tree and the skull to reveal a deadly stinger. She would thrust it towards him. Frederick would side step to her left. His enhanced speed challenging even hers. He would slash upwards in a wide arc. Slashing off all four of her legs. His sword slamming in the dirt. He jumped away from being crushed. He looked up to Rowan. "Don't worry! Stay still! I'm coming!" Crawling to his feet as he dashed towards her.

Rowan lay on the ground immobile due to the sticky webs that covered her. Her staff was out of her reach and she was paralyzed to do anything to defend herself. She could only stare up at the massive spider as it descended. Thankfully Frederic had noticed on time to draw the spider away and kill it. She lay still against the sticky webs searing her skin. "Please hurry! this is gross!" she said.

He would kneel down beside her. Sliding his Great sword out of his hand. He would draw his hatchet. He would notice the sear marks on her exposed body. He started with those areas. Chopping along her arms and legs. Splitting the webs. He would peel the webs off of her quickly. Ripping it all off and throwing it aside. "You ok!?" He more so demanded as he checked her for serious wounds.

Rowan quickly sat up once he removed the webs. She rubbed her arms since they stung the most from the webs, her skin was covered with red marks. "I'm alright, it's nothing really. Thank you." she said when she saw he was checking her for wounds, though he should really be checking himself since he was the one fighting. By then her buffs had ended. She sighed. "That was really close, I don't know what I would have done." she said.

He chuckled. Taking out a rubbing ointment from one his various first aid kits. "Well you wouldn't be here. That is certain." He joked as he offered her the jar. "Looks like your going to need all of it." Still knelt down he looked put his hatchet back on his belt. Reaching for his sword. he still held out the ointment to her.

Rowan nodded and took the ointment. "Thanks" she said. Rowan stood and dusted herself off before pulling her gloves off. She opened the jar and took a scoop to smooth on her skin. It instantly soothed the red marks on her skin caused by the spider webs. "Much better." she said as she closed the jar and handed it to him. She noticed he was still covered in spider baby guts, it was starting to smell... She reached into her bag and took out a towel. She handed him the towel. "You should clean yourself off before it starts smelling." she said.

He felt the towel land on his shoulder. Hearing her comment. He almost burst out laughing. Swallowing down the laughter to avoid making loud noises. Clearing his throat with a smile on his face. Throwing the towel back. "Save that for when it matters." He snickered as he walked over to the squirming queen. He would slam the sword in it's head to finish it off... and take his dagger back. Taking his helmet off he would wipe some sweat off of his brow. Smearing some of the green blood on him before putting his helmet back on him. "It's not like they didn't know where we we're anyways." He joked as he began to cut deep into the spider with his dagger.

Rowan blinked innocently when he started laughing, but tucked the towel away when he tossed it back. "Alright, but don't tell me I didn't warn you when it does." she said, a slight smile on her face. She saw him finish off the queen and squinted when its guts got everywhere. Her mother was right...males were messy creatures. "Eh... I think it's dead already." she said when he kept stabbing it.

"Well obviously." He said as he ripped out some guts. Tying the venom sack off. He would bag it in a loose sack he had carried with him. "Thought we might need this later." He would gesture to the venom as he placed it in his back pack. Retrieving his shield and placing it over the back pack so nothing in it would get crushed. Brushing his hands off from... well... nothing got brushed off. He would draw his Great Sword in his main hand and Hatchet in the other. "Comon. Let's try to find a way out of here. That was just during the day. I can't imagine at night." He teased as he examined the grounds. Like before, not much came up. Then he remembered the human tracks. He investigated it. Incredibly light foot prints. "Follow me." He would command again as he stayed crouched. Following the trail of foot prints to wherever they may lead.
