Dremora began to explain the weaponry most prominent in the galaxy. yes, actually. Most of the more modern systems are prominent in energy weapons. Now of course there is more, such as the Verpine Shattergun, which is a personal favorite. It is a magnetic based weapon, a miniature magnetic accelerator if you will. Most of our larger vehicles have sized up energy weapons as well as missiles, some of which release smaller droids whilst others crash against the hull of a shielded cruiser. Dremora looked at the navi-computer, it would still be a few days before they reached Myrkr, but to return with a vornskr would be invaluable to the Order.

"So the energy shields deplete with impacts until they eventually break? My kind use a similar system but with our creation of our energy conversion units we no longer use energy weapons, as they are simply absorbed by the shield itself and used to energize the shields even more. Some of the conversion units also are able to convert that extra shield energy toward other systems on the ship. As such we had to rely more on solid projectiles to actually do damage to enemy ships, though we also had a gravity cannon that was quite effective..." Tetroneaque trailed off as he mentioned the gravity cannon. It had publicly been lauded as his greatest creation, as it had been used to exterminate the hostile insectoid race that threatened the Kit'aru. Yet personally he had some regrets over it's creation, feeling that it's use to destroy an entire planet had been a bit much.
"We were working on making personalized energy shields for our infantry, along with trying to create a smaller version of the energy conversion units. We'd only succeeded in making it small enough to be useable by our mechanized power armors... which are about ten feet tall. Not exactly a success for the regular infantry. As such, energy weapons are usually an anti-infantry weapon most of the time where I come from."

The only thing the Red Sith had to say in return was Indeed. It was interesting how the entire race reverted to projectile based weapons over energy based blasters, and the shield technology interested him further.

"Just because we use solid projectiles in our larger weapons doesn't mean we aren't civilized. The hyper-kinetic bolt driver is a potent anti-ship weapon! It fires a super high density projectile at near the speed of light! A direct hit on an unshielded vessel will practically vaporize it and it's contents to mere atoms and good luck trying to dodge something moving that fast. The only way to defend against it is to hope your own ships manages to fire an interceptor round and that the targeting computers manage to predict the the line of travel... that or that the ship's shields hold up long enough to destroy them before they destroy you." Tetroneaque finished off his snack as he continued to talk shop.
"Anyway, I was working on a more reliable defensive measure against the weapon in my spare time as was having some promising results. The system I was working on had an 80% success rate against the bolt drivers, while a normal interceptor round only had about a 40% success rate. While doubling that was a good start, I tend to not be satisfied until it's at least a 99% success rate or higher." While Tetroneaque wasn't the strongest Force user around he was quite a tech whiz when it came to weapons and counter measures to defend against them.

Dremora was greatly interested. How fascinating! He said as he prepared to launch a Force push at Tetro. If he sensed it and put up a strong barrier in time, then Tetro would only move back an inch, as Dremora was upping the ante slightly. If he did not put it up in time however, he would be launched across the bay.

Tetroneaque was about to speak more about different weapons when he had a strange feeling, instinctively putting up a barrier around himself. Yet he had hesitated just a moment due to his confusion instead of trusting his instincts. As it turned out, the unexpected Force push knocked Tetroneaque off his seat and his exo-suit activated to cover his body as well. He strengthened his shield as he hit the floor and didn't move any more.
"Hey! That was..." He began angrily but then stopped himself, beginning to laugh. "I guess that was my fault for not paying more attention. I can't expect my enemies to announce their intentions and plans of attack, so I guess I shouldn't expect that during training either now should I?" He finished with a light chuckle as he hopped back up to his feet and let his exo-suit retract back to just the bracer on his wrist.

He smiled at Tetro. That and it wouldn't be as much fun for me if I had warned you. He noted how Tetro had hesitated to put up the barrier. That is why you should always trust your instincts. Your device on your wrist may be a good defense, but it cannot defend you as adequately from the Force. Dremora pondered what he should teach Tetro next. In the mean time, he moved into one of the nearby sleeping quarters, but not before moving several different objects in the bay. Before you go to sleep, you are to move these various objects to their respective locations. it was obvious where they all went. One of the objects was the same size an d weight of the ball Thanatos had made earlier that week for him to move. It would be about four mor days before they arrived in the system, so there was plenty of time for what Dremora had planned. I would advise that you do your best not to disturb my sleep with your training. As you have already figured out, I am not the type to make angry. You may sleep once you are done. with that he went to the sleeping quarters and closed the door behind him.

Tetroneaque's ears laid down flat after Dremora left the room. "Oh that's all? Just move these things that are bigger than me back to where they belong?" Tetroneaque let out a sigh knowing this was going to take awhile. He was still having trouble levitating even the fist sized stone back and forth. The items Dremora wished the Kit'aru to move were many times larger and heavier. The idea of simply ignoring the training instructions didn't even occur to Tetroneaque though, so after getting that little bit of cynicism out of his system he went to work.
Tetroneaque decided to start with the smallest object. A somewhat decent sized metal crate with unknown contents. It was easily large enough for Tetroneaque to fit inside if he curled up. He thought he manage this one okay if he applied himself as hard as he did when creating his barriers... unfortunately the spot this went was on the top shelf. The Kit'aru was already a bit tired from training with creating barriers, but there was no use putting things off any so he started to concentrate on the task at hand. He reached out like usual and tapped into the Force, using it to lift the smallest container present. It was hard for him to lift it at all in his tired state, not to mention the fact that he'd only gotten to the fist sized stone back at the Temple.
Yet after about twenty minutes of concentrating hard, he finally managed to get the container back to it's spot without making any noise. As soon as it was placed on the shelf, Tetroneaque fell over backwards panting heavily for air. He was exhausted, yet very pleased with himself. He'd managed to move something as large as himself and it had taken less than an hour to do it! Tetroneaque decided that deserved a little reward and went over to the table to finish off all the food that had been left out, not minding that it gone a little cold. The food seemed to invigorate him and after a couple minutes of rest he got to work on the largest container, deciding to get the big one out of the way.
The container was easily the largest object he'd attempt to move to date, being more than four times as large as the other one he'd already moved. He attempted to lift it like he had the first one but couldn't even get it to budge! After trying his best for several minutes he finally gave up with trying to move it that way.
"Darn it, I'm not strong enough to move it yet." He paced, trying to come up with some idea to move the large metal container. He certainly couldn't levitate it as he'd just tried... at least not without a good night's sleep to recover his strength. Even then he doubted his odds of doing it without much more practice. He also couldn't physically lift the container, the darn thing was way too big to even try that. There also wasn't any machinery around to help with lifting, so he couldn't even cheat his way out of this.
"Think think think... there's got to be a way to move this thing myself with what I have available to me." He said to himself as he paced back and forth. Then he stopped and his eyes widened as an idea came to him. It was certainly worth a shot anyway.
Tetroneaque instead created a barrier under the container the same way he'd created a barrier around himself earlier. Then he expanded the barrier, imagining a jack like mechanics used to lift machines. He pumped the imaginary handle up and down in his thoughts and sure enough the container started to move up a little each time as the barrier extended upwards. The Kit'aru didn't let himself lose his focus, though he was pleased with the result. Perhaps it wasn't the most efficient or expedient way to move something, but it at least seemed to be getting the job done!
After the container was level with it's spot on the second shelf he imagined the barrier rising a little more, but this time with a slight slope to it along with an extension so it resembled a slide in his mind. Sure enough the box tilted slightly and then slid into place on the shelf, making a little scraping noise that he hoped wouldn't wake up Dremora. It had taken over and hour to accomplish the task, but he'd done it.
He quickly summoned up another barrier under the last remaining container, able to visualize things better this time. This time he pictured a piston simply rising up and lifting the container. This worked quite well, and soon he had the box up high enough that he could send it where it needed to be. He imagined another slide, and of course it worked again. However this time the box's contents were not secured properly, and whatever it had inside made a very loud clanging noise as it slid home and came to a rest. Tetroneaque covered his ears as the noise was quite painful to his sensitive ears and his barriers he's used to lift shattered into nothing.
"Oh no... I should have thought to put a sound proof barrier over his door." He lamented, hoping against the odds that Dremora was a heavy sleeper.

Dremora had seen the same vision he had seen at the temple. More was coming to him however, but before much more came, a loud crashing noise had snapped him out of his vision. He instantly lifted his hand and reached out with his hand, Force gripping Tetro by the throat. He walked out, only wearing his sleepwear, and looked around the bay to see Tetro lifted up a foot and contents of one of the containers spread through the floor. He stared from across the bay, and opened his mouth to speak. You woke me up... That means you weren't careful. He continued to give a cold stare, loosening his grip enough for Tetro to breath.

Tetroneaque felt like he had a vice squeezing his throat as Dremora came out and coldly stated that the Kit'aru had not been careful. Tetroneaque tried to say something, anything at all but was unable to till Dremora loosened his grip a little. Then the only noise that Tetro issued was a sudden gasp of air, and as that air filled his lungs his instincts took over. He was afraid for his life! With a sudden burst of new found energy he seemed to suck up all the Force energy in the room and created a barrier around himself, knocking the unseen hand away from his throat. He fell to the floor but managed to land on his hands and feet.
Tetroneaque felt a little panicked and strengthened his barrier, but some part of him told him that a solid barrier wasn't the best defense. He needed something... different. He changed his barriers characteristics just as felt Dremora probe it. The probing simply skidded along the surface before falling off the barrier completely. Another attempt had the same reaction, just skidding along the surface as if the barrier was made of the slickest substance around. Tetroneaque had altered his barrier so that attacks just slid along it, letting his barrier bend like water to avoid anything actually getting through it. He didn't really even know what he was doing, merely acting off instincts.
"I'm sorry for waking you, I was just trying to do what you told me to do but the last container's lid was loose and it sort of spilled open when I slid it into it's space!" He blurted out, still having enough sense to issue and apology even in his semi-confused state. Even then he didn't let up his barrier, as his subconscious wasn't about to let him make himself vulnerable.

As he tried to get through the barrier, he noticed his attacks slid across the barrier. Curious, he tested this strength, he let forth a volley of lightning, near full strength. Your instinct serves you well. You made this interesting. Dremora was pleased with Tetro's progress, but could he withstand a lightning attack? If not, the lightning would halt immidiately after it broke through.

The lightning seemed to engulf the surface of his barrier, crackling along the surface but not penetrating it. Tetroneaque was quite terrified at this point, and that fear only seemed to fuel his shield and soon the electricity had slid off it completely and dissipated after Dremora stopped sending it at the Kit'aru. Due to the nature of this barrier and the force lightning, it actually allowed one to physically see the barrier while the two forces clashed. It looked to be moving in a wavelike manner and would have been rather beautiful to look at in all actuality. Tetroneaque was too scared to really notice though, more focused on not dying.
"I said I was sorry already!" Tetroneaque blurted out again, not sure what Dremora wanted now and feeling that the Sith was overreacting to being woken up a little earlier than intended.

Dremora halted the arcs of electricity, and in a calm voice, said Apology accepted. You did much better than I thought. he walked up to the Kit'aru, and sat down at about five feet away from him. You have passed another one of my surprise tests. You managed to keep up your barriers, even in the face of fear. The properties of your barriers were unique as well, you will have to show me how you managed to create it as such. As he picked up the loose contents and put the last crate on it's respective shelf, he produced a canned beverage and offered it to Tetro. This will restore your energy while you sleep. You have earned it. He smiled at Tetro before returning to his sleeping quarters.

Tetroneaque was a bit baffled at how easily Dremora went from seemingly homicidal to friendly again. This was all a test? He thought to himself, still a little panicked but quickly calming down. The Kit'aru finally released his barrier once Dremora left the room and accepted the drink from where Dremora had set it down. Being just a tiny bit paranoid still he scanned the beverage with the bracer of his exo-suit. It checked out.
Finally able to relax a bit he guzzled down the drink, barely tasting it. He had to admit that he was exhausted now and a nice nap sounded absolutely wonderful to him. Yet when he went to the other room to sleep he couldn't seem to drift off right away. Instead he kept thinking about his barrier techniques and trying to remember just how he'd done what he did. It had all happened so fast that it was hard to explain precisely what he'd done. Yet he knew that if he was attacked again that he would be able to defend himself better than ever and he had Dremora to thank for that.

Dremora had woken up after he had gotten a good night's sleep, and left his quarters to prepare some of the ship's rations for himself and Tetro. He went to the cockpit to check the navicom. Still another day or two before they would arrive at Myrkr. He had remembered still his vision, and was being very wary of it. This could either go very good, or very bad. In the mean time, he returned to the second level, the breakfast rations were almost done self preparing.
