Janlu thought for a moment before answering, "Well...I don't really have all that much to do today...nothing in particular, at least. Of course, helping Tetro get acquainted with his new environment would certainly be something," she chuckled. She was open to suggestions and ideas, as leaving anything to her own thoughts would allow her to slip back into hiding. There was much to think about, to be sure, but if there was something she could do to help out, she wouldn't put her own wants above their needs.

"Well I didn't have any concrete plans in place for today. I must say that spending the day learning more from you two would be quite nice though." Tetroneaque said, perking right back up as Sherasti scratched behind his ears. He couldn't help but feel a little awkward yet happy at all the attention he seemed to be getting from the various females around the Outcast Temple.
"Assuming that you two don't mind spending the day with me..." He added just a bit timidly, not wishing to pressure anyone into doing something they didn't want to do. Then another thought occurred to him. He had been planning something today before he had gone to meet Janlu.
"Oh wait! I was going to do something today. I wanted to try and salvage whatever I could from my wrecked ship. It may have exploded, but my technology is surprisingly sturdy. Would you mind taking me to the crash site Janlu? I think you might prefer to stay here and meditate Sherasti, as we'll be doing some heavy lifting if there's anything I can salvage." Tetroneaque turned to Janlu then, hoping that she'd agree to fly him out to where she'd first found him.

Janlu gave a small smile at Tetro's request, "Of course. I wouldn't mind at all." She looked over to Sheratsi for a moment, "Unless you wish to join us, I suppose we'll leave you to your meditation see you later when we return with whatever we could salvage," she chuckled, getting up and nodding to Tetro. She took a ship good enough for the both of them and space for anything they could pick up at the crash site, making their way to the crater and landing at the border of the debris field. "Is there anything in particular you expect to find?" she asked as they exited the craft.

After they landed Tetro hopped out of the cargo ship. There was debris scattered all around the crater. It seemed that things had been more thoroughly obliterated than he'd first thought. Yet he knew that there would be something of use to find here. He let his exo-suit expand from the bracer, encasing his whole body (except his head) with the protective armor. While he wasn't worried about being harmed, he didn't want to get an accidental cut or other small injury.
"Thanks for helping me Janlu. Sometimes I feel like you're the only one here that really sees me as anything more than an oddity or charity case." He stated, not really thinking about what he was saying for a moment and merely speaking his thoughts aloud.

Janlu waited by the ship while Tetro looked around. She was certain he'd know more of what pieces were salvageable for his use. Upon hearing his comment, she tilted her head with a wry smirk. "You're quite welcome," she replied cheerily, despite the sad fact that her peers seemed to be against the poor fellow, all of them acting as if he was purposely intruding. All of them suspicious and with some intent to harm him except, interestingly enough, the females. It would seem this intergalactic guest was quite instantly loved by the ladies. It wouldn't be so shocking if it hadn't been such a one sided matter. Of course, Naku could arguably be named in defense of the male population against the poor creature, but even he seemed indifferent to poor Tetro's well-being. He had no friends, no knowledge of his surroundings. He was unwittingly thrust here and very fortunate to fall into the hands of the Outcasts despite that the bulk wished him harm.
Still it saddened Janlu that this was the case. What made him different? He's just a lost traveler from another place. Wouldn't this make him an outcast even if by his own accidental design? Why be against him? Janlu put herself in his shoes. To be lost and alone like that...to be so completely helpless and at such a great disadvantage...to be so ignorant of where you are as a newborn is of the world...surely it would seem hopeless and despairing without someone to guide you and act in your defense when you make a mistake unknowingly. For her, it was a no-brainer to be the one to care...somebody had to...and it was in her nature to do so. Though she had a tendency to hide more complex emotions, she had no trouble loving everyone and everything in general and she would do her best to uphold what she felt was right.
After a pause of silence from her deep thoughts, she snapped back to reality, "I'm sorry, Tetro...I don't understand it, myself," she began, pausing again as she thought on her words, "well...I can understand Thanatos in that, he's just overall indifferent in that light...but the others? I...almost don't recognize them," she finished, staring blankly into the distance. There was something painfully contradictory and hypocritical about it all, and this irked Janlu greatly.

Tetroneaque's ears twitched toward Janlu as she spoke before tilting his head in what passed as a shrug among his kind. "I suppose that I'm just too different looking than the rest of you and perhaps they continue to judge me by looks. At least you seem to be able to look past that, though I do have to wonder why you're able to while none of the others seem capable of doing so." As he spoke he went about the crater with a small metal crate on a hover lift, dragging it behind himself like a child with a wagon almost. He paused every now and then to investigate a piece of debris, sometimes putting it into the crate and other times tossing it back to the dirt with a sigh.
The Kit'aru still felt isolated despite Janlu's company. It was nice to have at least one person to talk with, but he really was starting to miss his own kind. Would he ever seen another Kit'aru or was he doomed to live out the rest of his days alone? It was obvious from his body language that he was not his usual cheerful self today.

Janlu became a bit frustrated by the ideas Tetro suggested. Looks shouldn't matter. There had to be something else, right? After all, they were each different in their own ways and were all quite used to dealing with people far different in appearance. Could this really be what they had against him? It didn't make sense to Janlu at all. Then again, she did have the choice of walking around in her natural face, but she never did. Would they treat her differently if she openly showed them what she was? The thought baffled her as she tried to equate the situations. The only difference seemed to be that Janlu had a choice and poor Tetro didn't, neither in his appearance nor in being here. This must be why he seems so gloomy. Even that being the case, she felt she should ask, "You look a little down....are you feeling all right?" she tilted her head with concern.

"So it's that obvious huh? Yes, I suppose I am feeling a bit down to be honest. That's why I wasn't able to sleep well, and why I sought you out this morning." He paused a moment as he examined another piece of his broken craft and set it in the container before elaborating. "I always wanted to see how big the universe was. After helping map out my race's galaxy I thought that might be the end of it as we had no means to travel the vast emptiness between galaxies." He picked up another piece, looked it over, then tossed it off to the side to remain in the dirt.
"I never really got to explore even my own galaxy. The government always said my scientific mind was much too valuable to waste with exploration... I felt so stifled! That's why I was working on my device. So that I could go out and explore new places, to maybe meet new sentient races. Yet now that I've actually succeeded in that to some degree I find myself missing my own kind. Will I ever see another Kit'aru again? Will I ever know love? I just find myself feeling alone and out of place despite the kindness you and your order have shown me. I miss my kind." He confessed what he'd been feeling, glad to get it off his chest. What he didn't mention were his budding feelings toward Janlu herself, as he wasn't sure what to make of those himself and didn't want to risk alienating one of the few friends he actually did have in this galaxy.

Janlu titled her head the other way with a smile, her thought of taking the form of his kind becoming a solution again. "Well....I don't know about the rest, but you certainly can see another Kit'aru again," she suggested cheerily, "At least...close enough...It really shouldn't be so difficult to accomplish," she added, speaking partly to herself as she voiced her thoughts aloud. She waited to see what Tetro would say or do before going through with it.

Tetroneaque's ears stood straight up as he also got up from his crouching position where he'd been investigating another piece of debris. "Huh? What do you mean I can see another Kit'aru?" He was very intrigued by this news, but not sure what it meant. "Could you please tell me more how that might be possible?" There was a tinge of hope in his voice now that hadn't been present before, and his tails were wagging ever so slightly. He sincerely hoped that this wasn't just some elaborate set up to raise his hopes and then dash them.

Janlu smirked slyly, "You're looking right at her," she admitted finally, pointing to herself. "Remember when i told you that I am whatever I choose to be?" she asked excitedly. It felt nice to share her abilities as if they were more special than she considered them to be. With that, she hadn't noticed that she'd already changed, taking the form of a Kit'aru and wagging her tails as she spoke. After her question, she realized her clothes were a bit large on her, not really surprised by the fact.

Tetroneaque's eyes were practically bulging with surprise as Janlu turned into a Kit'aru. "How? When? Guh..." He wasn't able to even form a coherent sentence he was so shocked by the transformation he'd just witnessed. Finally what Janlu had said seemed to sink in and knock him back to his senses. "That's amazing! When you said you could be whatever you wanted... I thought you were being metaphorical. This is just a amazing though!" He couldn't help his reaction, his tails wagging so fast they were just a blur. The Kit'aru had to admit that Janlu was very attractive in this form, only serving to make his feelings more complicated on the subject. It was like she was a Kit'aru...yet she really wasn't... it was terribly confusing. Yet for now he was simply happy! Tetroneaque actually managed to smile and not look awkward for a change.
"Amazing..." Tetroneaque said once again, not really sure how to express himself at the moment.

Janlu let out a cute little yelping giggle as she saw Tetro's reaction. Being a Kit'aru was fun! She enjoyed being in a new skin every once in a while, though it felt like traveling, nothing like walking in your own skin (even if said skin was by choice). For now, however, she would have fun walking around like a being from another galaxy. "Have you found what you're looking for, Tetro?" she asked, wondering if there was anything in particular he hoped to find. "Maybe I can help you find it if you tell me what to look for," she offered.

Janlu was so pretty as a Kit'aru, it was mesmerizing. Her question finally shook him out of his stupor and he realized he'd been staring a bit rudely, thankfully Janlu didn't call him out on it. Instead he decided to answer the question in a straightforward manner. "Oh yes, I was hoping to uncover the core of my device. It should have survived the explosion... at least I hope it survived. It's likely buried, however I should be able to pick up it's trace energy signature with my exo-suit." Tetroneaque adjusted the scanner on his wrist armor to that of the core he was seeking and instantly started getting readings.
'Yes! It's still in a useable form, which means it's likely still in one piece!" Tetroneaque trotted around the crater till his scanner told him he was standing right on top of what he was looking for. "It's here! It's right here... only down about one hundred feet." The Kit'aru visibly grimaced at the realization. How were they going to dig down that deep? Then his eyes shot open as he turned to Janlu.
"Can you use the Force to move all the dirt out of the way? I know you're much more skilled than me at it." He had a pleading look in his eyes, like a puppy begging for a treat almost.

Janlu perked her ears and tilted her head ever so slightly as Tetro spoke. It was so deeply buried? Interesting...Lifting up the hem of her robes so as not to trip, Janlu walked over to the area. She would have to find the device before moving anything. Lifting her sleeves, she stood there, concentrating to find the exact location of the device and slowly moved some dirt out of its way as she pulled it up, shifting the dirt underneath it to push it up naturally. Eventually the lump of dirt revealed its hidden treasure and Janlu placed the device with the other artifacts Tetro had recovered. She said nothing, simply motioned excitedly at the accomplishment.
