Salik Jurrico
[X] Jedi Master [X] Jedi Sentinel [X] Jedi Shadow [X]

“ Power through Serenity: Victory through the Force ”

Salik entered the battle yard, having some unforseen notion that Master Nimbus would decide to appear here to teach an apprentice. So Salik entered the battle yard, and figured he would practice some of his older studies. The Aing-tii Fighting sight was something he had been instructed in, but never had time to perfect. Once he could complete this training, his reflex would seriously be on another level, giving him a leg up on those who threatened harmony and peace.

Salik stilled his mind, and began to focus in on the Force, trying to understand the flow of time. If the Force could show him events, then he could use his understanding of future events to press his attack and defense in a more coordinated manner. With a smirking smile, the Jedi continued to drop deeper in the Force. Once in the Force, he tried to observe time, observe all events that would occur.

Salik then felt the Force show him the events, that he would have to study the White current later in the day, probably while Master Nimbus was training in Flight Combat. This would be a real treat, it would seem, as Salik was enthralled in the fine details of the force. To study all its aspects was something he greatly enjoyed, but he understood it fought many of the Jedi Tennets. But if he was doing it for peace, did his power and strength not matter?

Salik continued the training of the Aing-tii fighting sight, booting up one of the training drones to help him perform it in practice. The black training drone beeped and came alive, standing up and igniting a bright yellow lightsaber blade. Salik allowed them to enter a secluded area of the battle yard, as to keep people from getting harmed, and placed a hand on his lightsaber hilt. Allowing the Force to flow through him, began to center himself as he tried to focus on time.

In a sudden instant, the droid sprang into motion, but Salik already knew that. His fighting sight allowed him to already know what attack the droid would perform. Igniting his own blade, the jedi master raised a blade to perform a simple overhead block against the droids overhead attack. The fighting sense told him, to block low, and so he followed it, finding the droids movements to start getting slower.

Trying to use this technique for offense, the Jedi observed the possibly defense of the Droid, and would perform a strike at the weakspot. Performing a slightly slower then normal stab, the Jedi observed as the droid had to quickly and hap hazardly change its attack to defend against the attack. These results where good, and Salik was excited to see that his technique was growing in both results and effectivness. He felt less strain, and it happened more easily then before.

Continuing to perform slightly slower strikes, the Jedi was finding that the technique was making everything slower, and that his battle ability was already much more effective. He was having such an easy time with a droid on high setting, he could only imagine what he could do to others. If he could master this technique, then his ability to understand the Force would grow in such depth. Once again, he was producing results that other jedi could not.

After a flurry of blows, swipes, and stabs, the Jedi removed on hand from his lightsaber hilt and began to wield it with a single hand. It was becoming to easy, and Salik was having a much easier time to perform it. There was almost no concentration to using it any more. He was able to just simple slide each of the droids technqiues off target, making him feel like a ghost to the droid, just out of touch.

Feeling like a little slippery devil, Salik continued to allow the Force to move through him. The continued duration fo the technique seemed to be having no mal-effect on him, and seemed to be able to be used almost subconsciously, like he was a conduit for the Force itself. Now Salik wasn't even using his saber, jsut slipping and moving around the Droids too slow blade to be able to cut him. With a smile, Salik found it was time to end it.

Already finding his opening, Salik's fighting sight was almost complete and mastered. Performing an ataru style barrage, the Jedi master cut every apendage the droid had before it hit the ground in a broken hunk. Grabbing the pieces in the Force, he hurled them off to the scrap pile for the padawans to practice with droid repair and stuff. Satisfied, the Master took a deep inhale, and exhaled deeply. He just had one more push to do....

She had to run away from that situation. Her mind was a mess, she couldn't sort anything out within her head, and her running feet had brought her here, the Battle Yard, where young Padawans took glances over at her and some seemed, some bowed immediately, and the masters bowed as well. She bowed her head to them, then began to slowly take over to a clear space within the huge area. The ceiling was high enough for her. She needed to focus on something, clear her mind and her tension, and the best was to stretch her muscles. With each step, she began to slowly breathe, letting her body calm down, like she did before a battle, every time. This was how she kept so calm on missions, she prepared her heart and soul for the main task, pushing past all emotional thoughts, but this was slightly. This was a way to get rid of all of her emotional melodrama. She was too old for this. But she knew that she cared deeply for both Lozek and Marcus, but they were her students, so why would this strange feeling of heat rise up into her skin and to her cheeks. She didn't wish to be in such turmoil that it causes her to turn confused, so each step she took, she breathed in and out, her eyes fluttering closed, and one hand reached up, grabbing the clip on her cloak, and with a flick of the wrist...it flew off.

Her body was tiny, but it glowed softly with an elegant presence. She had a waist strap that carried her weapons, an arm pouch, and a leg pouch, and only bandages around her chest area, for other beings would always tell her to put some clothes on, for she thought clothes just weighted her down, so all she wore was a cloak, but when she fought, she took it off, and then beings complained again that she should cover her breasts and privet. You couldn't see her privet, so she only put bandages around her chest, to make beings happy, but even the bandages were difficult to put on with her wings. Her wings. They were folded behind her back, scaly and delicate, but there was a strange glow to them, only a slight one, but soon, everyone would see the beauty in them. She rarely opened them for her natural ability she was born with. She never used it for fun, for the light could blind someone. Yes, a extreme light emits out of her wings for self-defense, and she only uses it in battle, as well. Nimbus doesn't fight every much, and she barely trains, but she does meditate, and when she trains, it is only when she is stressed, and that didn't happen often. Now, the masters told their padawans to take a look at the Grand Master and her technique, and as being backed away to give the grand master more room, she wasn't focusing on them. She was starting to dig deep into the force, letting it flow through her body, seeping out from her pours, her mind blank, and her black eyes slowly opened, gazing at nothing around her by the force, seeing bodies immersed in the force, and with only one step, her staff was already extended, in the flash of an eye, she had made a thrust, then the staff began to twirl back toward her body. She had barely moved from her spot and already she had made a shield around her body with her staff, whirling at a crazy speed, her eyes closed once more, twisting on one foot and she flipped forward, her staff spinning behind her back, then made a thrust behind her.

Her feet were smooth and just slid along with the ground, her eyes only closed, but her form was beautiful, like it was a mixture of every style, but she was just using her normal defensive techniques, and bouncing on her feet, her flips were beyond graceful, and her foot work was powerful, and the flexibility of her body was...outstanding. She began to wrap herself around her staff as if it was apart of her, using the staff as if it was apart of her leg, and slipping up the pole, twisting around it, and in one moment, she was on top of the staff on one foot, sitting carefully, and held herself in that position, letting her worries begin to defuse from her mind and spread out to give her some understand of the world of hers as all of the padawans found a new respect for their grand master.

Making his way into the Battle Yard, Rane searched around for the illusive Master Nimbus. He had only a vague picture of what her appearance was, despite her being so famous. Rane looked for a small, petite being, almost fragile looking, but Rane knew to not judge a book by its cover. There were several Jedi still in the Battle Yard and Rane tried his hardest to search the many array of species and genders of them all to find the Master. Many of them began to bow toward a blocked figure as it walked by. He craned his neck to look around the large group, wondering who it was. Indeed, he had found Rekoa Nimbus. Rane watched her with his eyes as she made her way to a large secluded spot of the Yard and begin to what looked like to Rane, a dance. But it was more fluid, and she drew her staff and incorporated it into her smooth training. Rane was entranced by it, but he felt bad staring from afar, like listening into two people's personal conversations. He made his way over and knelt down to watch. He kept quiet for a moment, as he watched the graceful alien complete her moves before he spoke up, "You are very graceful Master Nimbus. I only wish I was half as skilled as you are."

A pivot of her foot, turning on a dime, and suddenly lifted her body into the air. One flip, landing on another foot, two flips, and then she was on both of her feet in an elegant stance, her staff to her side at a diagonal angle behind her back, having her back to the man clapping hands, but her face didn't show any kindness to any of these claps. Her body was moved by the pain, the voices, and the guidance of the force that would help her one day bring her peace. She just wanted something to get rid of these most embarrassing thoughts. She wanted to stop her cheeks from flushing up with color. A voice snapped her back from the thoughts that were taking over her simple mind. She turned her head and noticed a young padawan, much larger than her, but very weak minded and vulnerable. This was bad, did he not have a master? If he was a padawan, he either should be built a little more if he was with a master, so that meant he had no master, which means he could be searching to her for guidance in her teaching ways. However, she could not assume that he meant this in his heart, and she turned to him, her eyes much softer, and she also knelt down to him, Padawans watching with jealous eyes. Nimbus reached out, taking the young male's hand and grasped it, closing her eyes, then oh so suddenly, she exerted into his body a small amount of her force power, but it was enough to make this young boy realize some of her power. before he tried to come to her for any kind of tutoring of the force, he had to realize now that she was very powerful and she needed him to read her aura to see she would never use it for harm or in evil deeds. "Young Padawan, what have you come to me for?" Her voice was soft and kind, holding a soft echo behind it, more like resonance within her small throat that caused her to sound deep and mature, and possibly to this being, something beyond what he has ever encountered.

"Don't mind me, I am fine in this cage of an Order. As long as I can be used for good."

He watched as the Grand Master approached him. She knelt in front of him. Her face was petite, and it looked soft. Master Nimbus grabbed his hand, it was soft too, and sent a wave of force through his body. Rane closed his eyes at the power of the force he felt, knowing there was much more than that in the petite being in front of him. He saw her look over him, wondering if she would laugh at his meager size, but all he heard was words of silk, like a mother to her afraid child. The Master's voice was soothing and it calmed him. His sense of fear of the force inside Master Nimbus, and it was replaced with a longing. A true longing to learn from the greatest teacher of his order, I have a request. A request to learn under you," the confidence Rane found in his voice surprised himself but he didn't think much more of it, I want to learn from the Master of the Order. To become your student. Rane silently held his breath after speaking, but he tried his best to keep his new-found confidence up. He truly wanted to learn from this embodiment of the force that stood before him. Rane couldn't think of any better teacher.

A bright smile struck across Nimbus' face. She gazed at this padawan with longing eyes. She had been so hopeful for a Padawan, but most of them were afraid to even approach her. Taking his hand, she pulled the both of them off the ground and she held his hand in hers, looking into the padawan's eyes. Kind, beautiful and true. His presence showed a deepness to be taught under Master Nimbus, which brought joy to her heart. She would...finally be free. She would be able to fight along side her Jedi in battle once again, to be able to go on normal missions again, the simple and the hard, all the while showing this young man the truth behind their existence. Master Nimbus couldn't have been more joyful. She thought of all of the new opportunities that were open up to. She would be able travel, the most important thing to her. She wished to travel to see the condition of the worlds under the Jedi republic protection, to see if they still trusted them, if they believed that she would be their shield, she could prove to them once more that the Jedi are their shields and only meant for their protection and peace from any evils. This sent chills down her body. It was a dream come true. And this young man, with a heart of good will, love, and happiness, would become a great shield. He would be taught how to become a shield, how to protect any being in any condition, to put your life on the line in order to put the safety, but if you were hurt, you would be protected by other Jedi, and be helped. The Grand Master, she was the Shield of Shields, she protected everyone and anyone, her life was just this, and when she was a child, it was very opposite of what she thought now.

But now she didn't think about the past and just held this human's hands, smiling brightly and exclaimed. "Thank you, I thank you many times. I will finally be free, to get out of this temple and see planets once again, to see what has happened to the worlds under the Jedi Protection. Because of you, I will be able to also show you everything you need to know. I will not mold you, I will show you. You are who you become, and if you find that you dislike my teachings, I will not object at all and find you a more suitable master." Nimbus released his hands, taking a step back and bowing deeply. "My name is Grand Master Rekoa Nimbus. You look familiar, is your name Rane?" She asked questionably, but then gasped and laughed softly, rising from her bow. "My may apologizes, You may not fully understand me. Yes, I would like to become your master." She smiled wildly. excited, happy, and glad to have finally found a padawan. However, her mind changed from good to concerned, but not on this topic at hand. She heard the running of feet, and as she simply touched the force, she immediately felt the panic in everyone's auras, preparing...for war. This made Nimbus turn a cold eye away from everyone, holding her sayings precious to her heart. We do not prepare for war...we prepare to protect and if we must, fight. Have they all forgotten...? She gripped her three fingered fist and thought once again, biting her words back. Marcus? What is going on...?

Salik listened intently, slightly eves dropping on the little conversation between the Gran Master and her new apprentice. He wasnt being malicious with it, but he was just around training himself within close enough proximity to them. To the master's way of thinking, when the Grand Master spoke, you listened. He still had to perfect his fighting sight, and even talk to the Grand Master himself.

The Jedi Master allowed him to be a conduit for the Force again, having it naturally flow through him like he had trained so many times. Once again, he felt the familiar warmth of the Force enter his body, and he felt his reflexis increase as the perception of time seemed to be be altered. His ability to dive into this technique on a subconscious level increased his ability to see attacks and danger before it even happens.

Feeling that he was well trained in his new technique, Salik went out and closed the distance between him, the Grand Master, and the apprentice. Once again, the master had forgotten to take off his hood, and was hiding his face once again as he moved around the battle yard. The Grand Master was preoccupied mentally, physically, and emotionally curently...which was very much unlike her. He would check on her when the padawan was not around, and see what information she was willing give him.

Standing still just outside of proper speaking range, the Jedi master could only wait to talk to the Grand Master. He wasnt the type to interupt, and it would also allow him to observe and size up the new apprentice she had undertaken. After the proposal, and all the Force shinanagins in the council room, Salik found that things were going to get hairy around here for at least a little while. With all of these problems going on, Salik knew his job would be getting more and more important.

His ears picked up the name Rane, and he etched it into his mind as to the name of the Padawan. Salik then sized up the kids body, his musculature, and his mentality to attempt to discover his skills. He seemed to be one who held the lightsaber above the Force, but that wasnt always a bad thing. When properly applied, the prowess and even intimidation factor of a ignited and deactivated lightsaber could easily deter violence. If he was truelly given to the jedi cause, then Salik would find proof not in his skill, but in his mentallity.

Salik then stood still, at a form of attention and waited for the Grand Master to address him, if it was indeed his time to be addressed. He felt it in the Force that he was needed by here, but he had no idea how what she actually needed him for. Being a reliable Jedi Shadow, and one of the few Jedi who would argue toe to toe with the Grand Master, Salik had an idea it was something big.

Rane smirked in shock as the Grand Master of the Jedi Order thanked him. She thanked a lowly padawan for wanting to become her student. Rane gave Master Nimbus a deep bow, "You humble me Master. I should be the one to be thanking you. You are the one that gives this padawan new meaning in life." Rane stood up and nodded once she asked for his name, "Rane it is, Master. And I know who you are, Master Rekoa Nimbus." He went over all the things she had told him, how she would be able to travel now, as she taught him, not molded him. Rane liked the sound of that, being able to keep his old self, and not become a plaster mold of his Master. The padawan had heard many a student had followed the exact footsteps of their Masters, something Rane would not like, "I will hope to learn everything possible from your large vault of wisdom, my Master." My Master, Rane thought, I wonder if someone will call me that one day. It has a nice ring to it. The new student watched his Master's face, she seemed suddenly concerned His mind went straight back to his earlier vision of that black energy, and his face crinkled with worry as well But, he went straight back to studying Rekoa's face, "Master Nimbus, does something trouble you?"

This boy was very formal to her, and awfully kind and gentle that it made her heart swell up with joy. To have such a young man that acted like this was to be loved, hugged and praised the rest of his life and to have his pureness be cherished. But he was now her Padawan, which meant he would be open to all of her secrets...her unlimited vault was a nice way to word it, and the boy was spot on. He certainly far away from having any sense of ignorance or stupidity. But he was not the reason of her concern, and already she was making the young Padawan feel unease. She Couldn't help that even from training, even for only a couple of minutes, her mind was not at total ease. She needed to do something, some how get the Jedi off from the track of war, but it would be impossible if she just tried to butt in now. Possibly they would learn without her, ever slowly. But now, she would have to find a way to get into contact with Lozek. Suddenly a voice angrily called out to her from her memories, and Marcus's face showed up immediately, gazing down at her with worried eyes."Please do not let such a dangerous man so close to you, that was much to dangerous..." She flinched softly at his words, then her cheeks flushed a bright color pink. The kiss...Lozek's kiss, his powerful hands, Marcus's wings, his gentle gaze...she wanted to curl up somewhere far away, to make these memories disappear, but like any of her other memories, none of them would disappear...the bad from the good. She covered her face with her small hands, but then she remembered about her Padawan and she slowly pulled her hands away, then turned to her tall student and smiled to him the most gentle smile she could ever give anyone. "I am very confused at the moment, and things are happening very fast for me. I am just trying to catch up to everyone's pace...." She turn to him, placing her hands at her naked sides, but when she saw male beings gawking at her, she sighed softly and walking over, grabbing her cloak, throwing it over her shoulders. Her eyes caught the attention of her shadow Jedi and she remembered something. She then quickly walked over to the kneeling Shadow Jedi, smiling softly and she leaned in close to him, whispering into his ear. "This is a very dangerous mission that only you can do for me a the moment. Please trust me. I need you to follow the Sith. I know they are on the move, I noticed in the Holomessage, the background behind the Sith Lord, showed coordinates in the Kashyyyk sector. I need to find out everything about what they are trying to do. You must be very careful, quiet, for if you are caught, your life will be at risk. Will you take this mission?" She didn't have very much time to tell him, she she pretended she was talking to him about something very cute and hilarious that happened today, placing that in her aura that a joyous moment occurred to her and she had to tell her Jedi friend this, but her voice was much different and very quick. Lozek was up to something, and if war would be called, then she needed information of who he was wish, why he was in that sector and what business would he try to make. He was still a Sith Lord, and his plans had not been described to her yet, so sh could not let everything go to her head. This planning actually made her mind more at ease, and put her in a right spot for thinking. "If you so wish to not partake, I will go myself. I will not endanger your life if you so do wish to not advance onward." her voice was soft, caring, and to put a Jedi out on a mission was dreadful, and it made Nimbus feel sick, but he was the right one to do this, he had the juts of steel and the feet of the wind, and even wish her own presence cloaked, she did not have the grace like Salik had. It was very important...and whether he accepted it or not, she would have this mission.

"Don't mind me, I am fine in this cage of an Order. As long as I can be used for good."

Salik's hidden face would not change expression, but his aura in the force would suddenly shut out as if he was preparing to be what he was: a Jedi Shadow. With a small nod, the taller Furian stood imposingly straight for a moment, like a statue of a faceless ghost as his deep words would ring quitely to the Grand Master, as she had spoken to him.

“It will be done Grand Master. Like i said when i had returned from Kashyyyk the last time: If there are Sith, i will find them. We shall keep in touch, in case i find anything too disturbing. ”

Showing his own curage and care, the Jedi shadow reached his right rather muscular hand out and to grasp the Grand Master's smaller left hand. Offering a gentle, relaxing, and comforting squeeze, the Shadow let his hand drop away and hide once again amongst his robes. He spoke again before dipping away, off to the shadows to dissapear.

“May the Force be with you always, Grand Master."

Taking a few steps away, Salik entered the shadows and submerged himself in the force. He needed to practice the White Current if he was to follow the sith. If he could make them have an obscured focus, then he could obscure their reaility...allowing him to hid ein full view and have them non the wiser.

Rane watched as Nimbus covered her face and her facial expressions changed as she explained her feelings. He knew there was a much larger explanation to it than she let on but he let it be for the moment. But he still reassured his master with, "I'm here to help you, as you are here for me Master." He realized the Jedi shadow standing near them at that moment. It shocked him, but he knew he wasn't too inclined in the force to locate a shadow of the force itself. It would take maybe several years to get that close. Rane watched as Master Nimbus conversed with the other Jedi Master, she seemed so happy. Hopefully Rane could make her happy to be his teacher. He would not be a burden. Rane's mind snapped back to his vision of the dark energy again, a burning sensation accompanying it this time. He clutched at his temple but it soon dissipated. The padawan snapped back to reality at the mention of some sort of mission but that was the only thing he could catch. The unknown Master soon disappeared as fast as he got there, leaving Rane in the dust about his conversation. He approached Master Nimbus shortly after he left, the vision still fresh in his mind, "The force manifests itself in strange ways, doesn't it Master Nimbus?"

The Jedi were in a time of desperate Leadership, and everyone was so brave. Nimbus slowly stood when her good friend immediately rose and left without a flinch in the force. "Be careful, my friend. The Force is with you, always." She whispered softly, bowing her head. She had sent a man on a suicide mission. If he made even one mistake, then he could be dead in instants. This only would make her mind worried, and hope returned without her having to be called up there to protect him from all of the Sith. Now she knew the Sith were out an about, it was time to plan on the protection of all lives. Nimbus was knee deep in things, but she immediately turned to her Padawan when he spoke. The force...has always done such strange things in strange ways. She took her Padawan's hands, smiling softly. "Rane, I need to train you fast and quick right now." A wide smile came upon her face. She knew what she had to do right now; her Padawan was the most important person at the moment. he needed training, a lot of teachings, and he needed to build up his skills for this battle would not take kindly to new comers. Releasing his hand Rekoa threw off her cloak once more, taking off her gear and even her weapon, only leaving her body with her chest wrapped in gauze. She stood a little ways from him, but her eyes were resilient and calm. "Your training begins now, we will be here for a while until someone calls upon me. First- I am the enemy, attack me!" She held out her arms, Her face changing from calm to aggressive, her aura outputting that she was hostile and would kill anyone in this room if she had something to grab onto. "COME AT ME!!" She yelled, knowing this would make the boy change drastically into the realization that he needed to train, that at any moment, someone could kill him, that he could be open to anything...this was her padawan, and she would not make the same mistakes as she had in the past. That is what you learn from, isn't it?

"Don't mind me, I am fine in this cage of an Order. As long as I can be used for good."

Rane was caught off guard by the sudden mood change of his master. He never would've expected to be so aggressive, but he didn't dwell on it. She seemed serious, so Rane became serious as well. He was thrown back a little with the whipping of her robe and weapon away, as she released his. Rane used that momentum to fling away his handicaps, not as gracefully of course. Under his own robe he wore the casual Jedi attire; tan tunic and brown belt and boots, but he had his tunic top slightly open in a V. He took a sort of offensive position, his arm position the opposite of his master's stance. He tucked his untrimmed biceps into his body but kept his forearms extended, and slacked his legs a bit. Rane took several steps forward, closing the distance between him and his new target, and jabbed his left arm out in a punch directed toward his master's open chest.
