Really interesting style you've got there.
I love the way you rendered her and her facial features are pretty rad, though there are some things that could be fixed.
For one, her upper arm is wayyyyyyyy to long. Her right (our pov) elbow should be brought back. I'm not sure, I can't tell if it's just an illusion because of the really long upper arm/ how far forwards her elbow is, but the entire arm might be a bit to long.
The second thing that really bothered me is her balance. She'd be falling over backwards as it is, with the upper half of leaned back so far.
And thirdly, the way the left arm is cropped off kind of bothers me in a compositional sense. I think that if it were cropped a bit lower, it may strike me better, but optimally, I would have liked to have seen her entire arm.

PLEASE don't take this as me disliking your art, because I really think that you have a wonderful style. Also,

No don't worry I like when people have something to say about my work as long as it's constructive. I went to art school so I know the value of people having something to say to help you rather than just saying oh thats nice.

There is part of me that agrees with the one arm being too long but I wanted to give the illusion that she is stretching really far without much effort and when I was painting I struggled with how I wanted the arm length. But right now both arms are pretty much the same size.

You're probably right with the balance thing...but thats what I get with drawing it out of my head with no reference pictures...and I know better than that haha.

With the cropped thing, I didn't really crop the picture to be really pleasing, I just wanted a close up of how I painted more or less and then left my DA link so anyone could see the whole picture.

Yeah. Like I said, I think it's just an illusion of the elbow being so far forwards and the fact that I missed the DA link (that's what I get for skimming lol) and didn't have the rest of the arm to look at. You did hit the nail on the head with the effortlessness, though. The entire picture looks very relaxed and she's very poised and graceful.

Lolol Yeah, ref pics are life savers. I actually went to your DA page and found the actual picture, and I had been imagining something completely different going on with her lower body. This is what I had, for some reason, in my head. So, more so then falling over, she'd be, like, breaking her back, BUT SHE'S NOT SO THAT'S GOOD. I still feel like there's something a bit off, but idk. I'm probably just overly scrutinizing things, now.

And about the cropping thing, yeah... sorry ^^'

Haha yeah she would be completely broken if that was the bottom...I'm glad she is not haha!

Reference pictures are life savers! [Though usually I tend to do a mix of reference and no reference because with reference I get sucked into the exact pose and all that and making it more realistic looking. Such a bad habit haha] sweatdrop

And don't worry about missing the link or just mentioning the cropping, I should probably go back to that post and clarify that if you want to see the whole piece to go visit my da.

I know what you mean about getting sucked into the ref.
I do the same thing and only really go for a ref if I've never drawn the pose before, or if a certain part is REALLY giving me trouble.
Otherwise my entire style changes and I end up with almost a copy of the ref, and... yeah orz
