Landon watched as Melody and her Blaziken took the lead, heading towards what seemed like a cave. He looked up at the entrance as he and Marcus made their way in, admiring the rock formations that held the same familiarity as his gym back in Icirrus. "So this must be it... Wellspring Cave, I believe." he said, gazing around inside the cavern. The Seismitoad nodded solemnly, also looking around inside the cave to see if they could spot the Pokemon they came here for. The Ground-typer stepped next to his red-haired companion, still looking around the cave. "So... Have you seen anything yet?" He hadn't seen anything yet, other than the occasional Woobat that swooped down around them and flew out of the entrance. Marcus, although still looking around for a Roggenrola, kept his eyes on the two humans, looking for an opportunity to enact his next plan....

"No, nothing..." Landon said with a sigh. 'Finding a Rock-type in a cave... How hard could it be? Psh, right...' The Striaton native shook his head, groaning with frustration as he continued his search. Marcus lazily looked about, whilst keeping an eye on the two humans from behind. The Seismitoad grinned, watching as his trainer casually stepped up beside Melody, unaware of what Marcus had planned next for them. The blue Water-type creeped up behind them, waiting for the right moment... "Still nothing... You'd figure it wouldn't be too hard to find a rock in a cave..." At that moment, Marcus would do something that was low even for him. Being extra cautious, he reached up behind the two humans as they stood next to each other, and lightly pinched Melody's tush. He smiled wide as he then hopped over a rock formation, obviously to avoid being found out. Landon, knowing something was up, slowly turned his head and looked down at the Subway Boss. ". . ."

To say Landon was taken off-guard by Cydonia's actions would be an understatement. The Ground-typer was knocked down onto the cave floor, writhing from the punch to his jaw. Marcus, who was peeking over the rock formation he had hopped over earlier, was just as taken aback by the Blaziken's brash behavior, and hopped back over to give his trainer an apologetic "G-Gero?" Landon, just annoyed in general, shoved away any and all hands that was near him, and carefully returned to his feet, rubbing his now-aching jaw.

The Icirrus City Gym Leader then looked at his Seismitoad, remaining silent as he grabbed the first rock within arm's reach (which also conveniently had a handle to grasp onto), then smacked said rock fiercely on the top of Marcus' head, instantly rendering the Water-type unconscious. "WHAT THE @#$% IS YOUR PROBLEM! TRY THAT AGAIN, AND YOU'RE GETTIN' A PERMANENT SPOT IN THE PC BOX!! GOT IT?!" he shouted, his obvious angry tone echoing throughout the cavern. Landon then turned back to Melody, who was most likely surprised (if not terrified) by the man's sudden outburst. "Uh... Sorry 'bout that..." he said sheepishly.

Suddenly, Landon felt something moving in his hand. He looked down at the rock he held, and noticed it had a singular eye in the middle of it, and two tiny feet dangling from it's bottom. The brown-haired Gym Leader inspected the small rock, then eventually came to the realization. "Huh... This a Roggenrola?" he asked, not really directing the question to anyone in particular, just rather speaking aloud. The Rock-type swayed back and forth in Landon's grasp, thinking it rather fun to be hanging from it's... whatever it is on the top of it's head.

Landon blinked a couple times while looking at the Roggenrola in his hand, before turning his head back to Melody. "Oh... no, I'm okay. Just a little sore now..." he said, rubbing his chin with his free hand. The brown-haired man then placed the small Rock-type on the ground and pulled a Pokeball from his pocket. Might as well catch it while it was here in front of him, right? Landon nodded to himself, as a form of silent affirmation, as he watched the Mantle Pokemon slowly walk towards the unconscious Seismitoad, giving him a light kick (well, light when comparing the size difference) in his side. The Ground-typer smirked briefly, finding it rather amusing that the Roggenrola had seeming picked up a habit from the human so quickly.

After another minute or two of quietly watching, Landon gently tossed the Pokeball in his hand at the Roggenrola, then waited as the capsule rocked back and forth. Once the familiar 'click' sounded, the Gym Leader stepped over and retrieved the red-and-white orb, grasping it firmly in his hand. "Another easy catch...." he said, before turning back to Melody and Cydonia. "So, you said you wanted to head to Striaton to see if your friend is there? If so, we should get a move on."
