Orin had the strong urge to turn around and walk away. "Hi, mister strange man with time powers, could you please make time go again?" He said quickly, without thinking. "And stop throwing food! It's a waste!" Using the strength of an elephant, he slammed his foot into the ground to emphasize the word 'stop'. Small cracks radiated out from where his foot impacted.

Niro started laughing. "Oh you are too much Orin. Are you always such a stick in a mud? The mud? Whatever." He looked at the cracks in the floor. "Now that's going to be tricky to explain." With a shake of his head, that only made his messy hair more messy. He grinned sheepishly and finished the applesauce. "Fine, fine. Have it your way! But, let's go. Unless you want to be part of the lovely food fight." Once again grabbing Orin's wrist he took off, more or less dragging poor Orin. "You'll thank me for this."
Two blocks away he stopped, let him go and pulled out the watch. "There you are, enjoy." He pushed down the stopper. Time started moving along at its normal pace once again. Birds flew, people walked and talked, cars drove, all the good normal things. "I do wonder what is going on back there. Someone better remember to yell food fight. They always looked so enjoyable." He looked around, interested in just about everything. "Should I come up with a name for you as well? I do like of like the one you came up with."

"How about you tell me your name," Orin stepped back onto the sidewalk as a car honked at him. When mister magic Oracle guy let him go and turned time back on, he left Orin standing in the middle of the road. "And please, don't ever do something that stupid again. Food fights? What are you? Thirteen?" He was quickly loosing patience with the man.

"Niro." He said tucking the watch back in its pocket. "Actually, three thousand, one hundred and seven. Oracles have existed long before man was smart enough to count time." He nodded and began to observe the traffic lights. "No, just overly educated about your world. The problem is your world to us is like watching through the glass pane of a window. We know all about it, we just don't actually live it. Now I get to experience it, food fights always looked so fun you know." He looked back to Orin. "No, actually I think I'm more in my late 20's early 30's." With his hands back in his pockets of the trench he waited to see what Orin would say next.

"Well, Niro, I suggest you go badger someone else because I'm losing-"
I know you're around here, Orin Leeson. And I've come to kill you just like I killed your dear twin Francis. You want to know what his dying thoughts were? I'd love to tell if you came to me... The voice in his head was not his own- the disturbing, crackling voice belonged to the mystery murderer of his twin brother, Francis. Whoever it was seemed to have found him after two years and after moving between three different states.
"My patience," Orin continued, trying to do his best to remain calm and to keep his face unchanged. "Listen, I've got to get back to my dorm. Gotta give my roommate his chips and all. See ya later." He turned and walked away, chips in one shaking hand, his keychain in the other.

"Pleasant Afternoon." Niro watched him leave, a bit curiously. He was half tempted to follow him because he was showing all the signs of being scared. Chips, in Niro's opinion, did not twitch like that. He gave him until he was around the corner and exactly one minute after that before he started following him. Niro decided it wouldn't hurt to see him safety to his dorm and learn a few things along the way about the world. The only problem was Niro was a little distracted, mostly by anything that he'd never seen. The sounds and smells of this world were rather interesting after all.

Orin walked quickly, flinching at nearly every sound. His mind kept flashing back to that horrid day...
Francis was a quiet guy. That day, he was being usually silent, and when Orin asked him about it he simply shrugged and began digging around in his pocket, before pulling out his pocket knife. Orin smirked and shook his head; Francis carried it everywhere as a sort of 'good luck' charm. Their eyes met as Francis flipped the knife open, and Orin knew something was wrong. Francis smiled at Orin, yet his eyes were full of... Fear? Orin could almost smell the fear radiating off of his brother.
“Francis, you okay?” he asked, reaching for Francis' shoulder. With one quick motion, Francis drew the knife across his own throat, spraying both Orin and their mutual friend Tara with his blood. “No!” Orin screamed, racing to catch him as he fell forward, his hand flying to his brother's throat to try to stop the bleeding. “Oh god, oh god, Francis, why the hell did you do that?!” Orin cried, staring into Francis' fading blue eyes. “Oh god, oh god, don't die!” He barely registered Tara screaming for help. “Francis! Oh god, don't die! Please don't die!”
His please were ignored, Francis' pale green eyes, once full of life, were now empty and devoid of it.
He didn't realize he had reached his dorm until his hand mechanically unlocked the door and he slid inside, his mind pondering his brother's death. He knew that whoever killed Francis was a telepath, but other than that, he knew nothing. And now he'd have to run away.

Niro had watched him into the building which he knew contained a few hundred dorm rooms. After ten minutes of walking the grounds, he remembered which one housed Orin. There was a very large spreading apple tree on the grounds and looked ripe with apples. So Niro walked over to it and helped himself to a few of them, pocketing a few. Then he settled down at its base and ate his way through another apple and stared up at the clouds, remembering his own banishment from the Oracles.
Oracle Niro. For abusing your powers, you are hereby banished and stripped of your powers. You are sentenced to remain on earth as a human until you come to understand that your powers were not given to you for your own pleasure, instead for the betterment of mankind. Furthermore, you are going to be responsible and accountable for your actions.
Niro crunched away at the apple, all of that made no sense to him. Oracles had great power why not use it for their own gain? Niro knew all of this stemmed from him using the power he'd stolen from other Oracles. He had the power to not only create life but, take it away. Was that not what time did? Turns out the answer was no, there were other Oracles for that kind of thing. He had gotten away with for a while, until he'd done some things that made several very large wars over the course of time and brought about the end of the world. That had all been fixed of course but, he was still in trouble.

"My chips?" Jason demanded, and Orin complied by tossing the inflated bag at his face. "Dude, what the hell crawled into your head and died?"
"Sorry, I'm just stressed out from class, and then there was this weird guy pretending to be a 'Foreign Exchange Professor'."
"A fake professor? Isn't that illegal?"
"I dunno. Maybe? Either way, I've got to study for that chem final."
"The one that starts in less than an hour and a half from now?"
Orin felt a small grin spread across his face. "That very one. What're the odds that I fail?"
"Oh, I'd say they're the same as the ratio of Oxygen to Hydrogen in about 3.256 moles of water."
"Shut up, smart a**," Orin broke into laughter- it seemed that his friends always knew of a way to cheer him up.

The sound of leather boots would being to echo through an empty hallway in the school...though, the echo would easily, and quite eerily, echo out towards where others could hear it. The sounds from these boots belonged to a tall, pale man...dressed entirely in black, including a cloaklike trenchcoat. Though it would not be visible to any but the most well trained eyes, a sheathe with a rather sharp katana within it was kept underneath this cloak. Rather outdated weapon for this day and age...but it suited Loreno, the owner, far better than a gun would. Anyone viewing him walking with his stern expression would likely think one of two things...that he was just a strange, vampire-like student or professor, due to pale skin and oddly red-tinged eyes...or else that he was just flat out suspicious in general. The second would be the correct guess, as he was not here for academia. He had recieved a note from an unknown author...telling him to be here on this day, but said no specific place on the campus. This could be either trap or a job...either way, he was confident his skills would carry him through. He was merely wandering until he perhaps found this mysterious author...and of course, was actively reading the surface thoughts of everyone close by. Most were thinking of school things...dreading a test, studying, or working on homework. Some were being far less studious, daydreaming or else plain out goofing off...or even napping. He let out a silent sigh of frustration...no sign yet. He'd have to keep wandering the campus...

"Jason, do you have a Scantron I could borrow? I don't have any left," Orin had almost forgotten about the appearance of his brother's murderer on campus. There was no possible way he'd forget something that important.
"Uh, nope. I don't have one, dude. You'll have to go buy one," his roommate said after a moment of digging through his bag. "Sorry."
"Nah, it's okay. I need to pick up a few things anyway," Orin checked his wallet for cash- he had $20- and left the room, his mind heavily guarded against any psychic probings. He walked down the halls, his hands in his pockets, his eyes, those of a falcon, scanned the crowd for any hint as to who the murderer was. When they passed over the strange man in the black trenchcoat, he naturally assumed that the angry looking man was part of the Anime club, and was simply running late to the meeting. Orin once walked into one of the Anime club's meetings by accident, and walked out when he realized he was the only one in the room not dressed as a random anime character.

...that was odd. He sensed one mind that was somehow...shielded from his mind reading capability. It shortly began heading his way...the only explanation he could think of was that he, also, had powers of some sort. Could he be the one who sent him the note...? He waited until he was close, and then suddenly turned to look at him. Loreno studied him closely for a moment, leaving a silence that stretched for a couple moments before finally speaking in a low tone, pulling out a bit of paper from one of the inner pockets in his trenchoat as he did so. As only the two of them were present, no one could possibly hear what they were saying. This pocket was on the opposite side of his katana, so there was no way the kid could have seen it without some sort of x-ray vision.
"...you....you must have powers of some sort. Tell me...did you write this note?"
With that, Loreno would flick his wrist, sending the paper to him. If he were to look, he would see a message, describing the school they were at by name and the time it would be within ten minutes....it had no signature, and requested a meeting with Loreno. Unfortunately, before the boy could reply, the curse decided to kick in...Loreno's entire body would jerk once as he ended up falling to his knee, clenching a fist as several, various muscles twitched along with the pain spasms. Loreno's teeth were also clenched, his breath a bit labored as he slowly stood back up, using the nearest wall for support. The pain would fade in a moment, he knew that...but it seemed that the pain usually came at the wrong times more and more frequently.

Orin took the note and had just begun to skim over it when Trenchcoat, his new nickname for the mysterious guy, fell into a nice bundle of seizures. When Trenchcoat was able to stand again, Orin turned his gaze to the ceiling, why do I attract all the weirdos? He thought, closing his eyes and taking several deep breaths before turning his attention back to the man. "Are you okay? I doubt it's normal for anyone to suddenly have a crap load of seizures."
Orin debated with himself for a moment, before deciding to throw caution to the wind, and allowed the sense of smell of a wolf to take over his own sense of smell. As he suspected, this man smelled different than a normal human. A tad spicier, with a hint of metal and leather. He dismissed the last part as being from the man's coat.

"...I'm fine. This...is normal for me. A condition I've had for a while now, if you will."
He then proceeded to take deep, longer breaths...similar in fashion to lamaze breathing. It gave him something aside from the pain to focus on, until it went away. Not to mention it provided him with valuable oxygen. After a moment, the pain would begin to recede as Loreno relaxed a bit before stepping away fromt he wall again. He would then look into this boy's eyes...his own red ones glittering a bit. This usually, at the very least, unnerved people. His thoughts were still guarded.
"...may I ask how you are capable of blocking your mind? Also...about the note?"
He then awaited his response, wondering if maybe he would allow for Loreno to read his mind...he wouldn't need to be asking questions if he could just simply read his mind and be done with it.

Orin took a step back, ready to run if the need arose. His heart pounded in his chest. Is this the person who killed Francis? No, he doesn't sound the same. Still better be careful, he thought. Taking a deep breath to steady himself, he said, "it's just something I picked up. Now, your note..." Orin scanned the paper, "I don't know anything about it, sorry." He handed the paper back to the man and turned to leave.
