Danielle Baptiste Played by:Danielle BaptisteName: Serene Six Delta Personality: She's not very by-the-book as her rank and attitude would suggest. Although harsh at times, she does have a genuine soft side to her. She favor's human's over aliens or half breed although she struggles to understand this herself. She attempts to keep an open mind with the aliens on the station. Since there seems to be more human's so far in this RP, (totally awesome!) I'm going to give her something else to hate instead of aliens. It is now Machines/Computers. If you've noticed, she doesn't call the Ship "Gen", like everyone else. The Ship has a pleasant personality, very female, although it dose change appearance. Serene called it 'ship' or 'computer'. in an age where she is reliant on computers and machine, this will serve a very interesting sense of irony. I'm not trying to steal from terminator here. She just doesn't like them... sweatdrop

I have one more question, though clearly not ready to join in yet.
If humankind has perfected cryogenic freezing/deep sleep (since they must have, since everyone is in a sleep cycle on the ship), why is everyone a clone? Is there a particular reason? It seems like cloning and cryo-freeze are two separate solutions to the same problem, that being transporting people across a vast distance of space without everyone dying of old age on the trip there.
Is it possible to explain that to me further, or if needs be, streamline that point?

If humankind has perfected cryogenic freezing/deep sleep (since they must have, since everyone is in a sleep cycle on the ship), why is everyone a clone? Is there a particular reason? It seems like cloning and cryo-freeze are two separate solutions to the same problem, that being transporting people across a vast distance of space without everyone dying of old age on the trip there. Is it possible to explain that to me further, or if needs be, streamline that point? I assumed it was just like the pods the clones grew in.

The pods where ment to download the information aka donners memories, into their bodies, and open once they arrived. The ship can make exact copies or duplicates if it feels the current is defective. But this is meant to be a story later. Ppl in the medical profession should have more information downloaded then others, since the ship will not awaken them with out full knowledge of their profession. So your character Linda could be the one who tells them that they are clones.

God no! I think ppl are just busy this weekend and all. I know I am going to be off and on until Tues...

I don't mean to sound pushy, but is it possible if this is the rate of posts we're going to be getting in Sci-Fi (and that's fine), could people put more content into them? Rather than doing a single action and leaving off, please feel free to tell a story, depict a progression of time or do more than one action per post. biggrin
